sniper-ghost-warrior-2-screenshot-01
Okay guys lets try this again. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 has now received the release date of March 15th, one of many, many dates in an ever increasing list of set-backs and changes. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2’s development has been far from smooth, with numerous delays affecting the title and pushing it back from its initial release date of late 2012. Hopefully this means City Interactive have been just too busy making the game awesome to meet its previous deadlines and so we’ll see an award winning sniper title in mid-March. Hopefully…

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is set for release on March 15th and is the only multi-platform gaming experience centred solely around being a Sniper. Running on the impressive CryENGINE3, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will feature many stunning environments and gorgeous vistas for players to explore and fight in. Also including some much enhanced (and needed) AI, the returning One-Shot-One-Kill experience and challenges that only an expert marksman could complete, all eyes are on City Interactive to deliver on their promise of a gritty, fun sharpshooting experience. For some classified information and a behind-the-scenes look at the game, head over and ‘LIKE’ their Facebook page here.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will be available on launch day for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

You’ve probably heard of CyberConnect2 thanks to a number of titles they’ve handled for other companies, such as Asura’s Wrath for Capcom, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 for Namco and even the latest JoJo’s game for Namco, but they’ve made a few original games in the past as well, such as Solatoroba.

Now it seems that CyberConnect2 is branching off of franchise games a little bit as Siliconera has found that the company is working on three original titles that aren’t based off of any existing franchise. President of CyberConnect2, Hiroshi Matsuyama, explained that these three games are planned for release sometime in 2013, however he could not provide any extra details at this point.

THQ assets to be sold whole unless outbid individually

THQ-logo-png

Today THQ confirmed reports that they would be moving forward with their bankruptcy proceedings and sent out a press release containing new information. Now it seems that the only time that the company’s assets (IPs and studios) will be sold individually is if the offered price is more than the whole buyout.

It has been said that Clearlake Capital Group offered THQ “$60 million, including a new $10 million note for the benefit of the company’s creditors.” This means that any company that wants to purchase individual properties from THQ will need to offer more than that deal. Of course, this also means that the very interested EA and Warner Bros. and other bidders could buy out all of THQ’s properties and studios, totaling over $60 million and shutting down THQ forever as their IPs continue elsewhere.

Bids are set to be made by January 22nd and the auction will be held at 3PM that day and closed out on January 24th.

Corpse Party: Book of Shadows brings fear to the PSP next week

corpse-party-BOS-release- (1)

Ever since XSEED Games announced that they would be bringing the pseudo-sequel to Corpse Party, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, to North America back in October, information about their release has been non-existent. However that all changed today when not only did the company provide a new teaser trailer and a few new screenshots of the game, but also it’s price and release date.

Fans won’t have to wait much longer either, as Corpse Party: Book of Shadows will be released next week on January 15th for only $19.99 on the PSN. It is also worth noting that despite this being a PSP title, the game will also immediately be available for purchase on the PlayStation Vita as well.

Corpse Party: Book of Shadows tells a series of short stories that develops many of the characters that were introduced in the first game and also a number of “What if” scenarios. This means that players can change the fates of the first game’s characters, sometimes for the better or for the much worse.

It is also worth noting that Corpse Party: Book of Shadows features point and click adventure-style gameplay from a first-person perspective this time around rather than a top-down adventure. Plus, as the terror rises, the game’s visuals will begin to distort and you may even find some of your decisions altered thanks to the amount of fear running through the students’ minds. Don’t worry too much however, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows features the option to save whenever you want to, which may be essential given how a “Bad End” could be around any corner.
