With the end of the current console generation in sight, many people are wondering what the next generation of gaming consoles will look like. Well today there seems to be a glimpse of what the PlayStation 4’s controller may just look like.
Today the above image was posted online which shows a PlayStation style controller plugged into a development kit. The controller features what appears to be a touchscreen in the middle of the controller, a blue-light on the top which may be similar to the Move’s light, a speaker in the center and some very odd looking analog sticks. Obviously this is just a rumor for now, but with Sony set to announce something next week in New York, we’ll know for sure then.
Last night during the Nintendo Direct conference it was revealed that a playable demo will be released onto the Nintendo 3DS eShop for Konami’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate. The demo will be available for download on February 28th a full week before the game’s current release date of March 5th.
Shortly after that announcement Konami announced a few small details about the demo such as how it will show off the game’s “intense whip combat, deep platforming, exploration and spectacular visuals” and will certainly help sway some people’s opinions on the first ever Nintendo 3DS Castlevania title.
Well… this is certainly a pleasant surprise. Today Sentai Filmworks announced that they have acquired the license for the Kill Me Baby anime series. This is certainly a unique pick-up because not only did the anime air last year in January 2012, it was widely regarded as one of the most boring anime of that season despite the fact that I found it a nice little diversion that could provide a few laughs here and there.
Anyways, Sentai Filmworks is actually going to be providing an English dub for the series and are planning on releasing it sometime later this year. For those who don’t know, the story of Kill Me Baby is almost non-existent as it is a gag anime focused on Sonya, an assassin girl who attends a school and is constantly bothered by Yasuna her idiotic friend and a ninja named Sonya who seems more than willing to scam people out of their money.
Nintendo have announced earlier tonight that they would be a Miiverse channel based around past franchises. The first of these channels is to be the The Legend of Zelda channel based on the Zelda franchise. It is here that players will be able to discuss all things Zelda. And hey, sometimes, Eiji Aonuma is poised to join the discussions.
This is an excellent move for Nintendo as they have just released their Hyrule Historia in conjunction with Dark Horse publishing, so fans will now have an excellent place discuss the discrepancies and other theories presented with the book.
In tonights Nintendo Direct Conference from Nintendo, it was unveiled that there would be a few new titles appearing on the Wii U e-Shop for the Wii U console device. These titles may seem a little basics, but, I’d have to say that Wii U owners would even take basic at this point. I’m sure many have left there device laying around as a glorified brick.
Bit Trip Runner 2: Future Legend Of Rhythm Alien
Toki Tori 2
Zen Pinball 2

Nintendo of America has just released Sylveon, Eevee’s newest form. Sylveon, originally named Ninfia in the Japanese version of the game, will be in the two new 3DS games – Pokemon X and Y. One of the more flexible Pokemon in terms of evolution pathways, Sylveon hasn’t been given an element alignment as yet.
Could this mean that there will be an as yet unannounced class of Pokemon? Looking at the video that came with the announcement the skill set includes flying cards as an attack, as well as some energy based attacks. This may suggest a trickster style to the new element to be introduced. Has Pokemon gone too far in extending the class categories? Only time shall tell.
Resident Evil Revelations is coming to a console near you with updated graphics, new achievements and some totally revamped gameplay. Set between the iconic events of Resident Evil 4 and 5, Revelations takes players to the horrifying SS Queen Zenobia, a desolate cruise ship populated by vicious B.O.W.s and some genuinely creepy environments. Rusty pipes, faulty electronics and close spaces are all part of a recipe for some true scares that many swould argue the series has been missing in its modern instalments, returning the series to its survival-horror roots.
Originally released exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS, Capcom has seen fit to make the awesome decision to re-release the game on home consoles for even more players to enjoy, sneaking onto the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC and Nintendo Wii U systems. Coming to stores on May 21st for North America, the 23rd for Japan and Australia and the 24th of May for Europe, this definitely looks like a Resident Evil title gamers won’t want to miss. To check out our high thoughts on the game read our review here.
Down below you’ll find fourteen awesome screenshots of the updated version of the game as well as a brand new Wii U trailer showing off newly playable character Umbrella Operative HUNK who many players will recognise and be eager to play as in the game’s Raid Mode, wherein players earn points for their performance during a level.
Nintendo has just announced a release date for the newest addition to the Pokemon franchise. The game, called Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, will be released on May 17th for the Australian and European audience. Mystery Dungeon is an exclusive for the 3DS and will add building a paradise for your Pokemon to frolic in as key mechanic.
Extending on the already vibrant Pokemon universe could be a great opportunity for Nintendo to flex their muscles and show us what they do best: create great gaming experiences. What do you think, do you want to build a world for your Pokemon to play in or will this be a piece of bloat-ware worthy of the scorn that was heaped on Pokemon Snap? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

Are you pumped for this list of releases? I know that we are!
We did forget the most important piece though, and it is below.
Nintendo has decided to revive fan favourite Donkey Kong Country Returns. Continuing the trend of recreating hits from the N64, there must surely be a big audience that’s ready to lap this one up. The game will be a faithful recreation of the classic, with Nintendo showing us quick glimpses of this long time favourite in action.
The title is being rebuilt from the ground up for the 3DS in order to make the most of the systems main strength. At the moment details are sparse but we can expect a launch this year. A few pieces of play showed classic scenes that will be recreated for a new generation of gamers.
