Counter Strike Co-Creator’s Project Now in Open Beta

tactical-intervention-01

Get ready for more balls-to-the-wall FPS action. ‘Tactical Intervention,’ the newest game from Counter Strike’s co-creator, Minh ‘Gooseman’ Le, is now in open beta. Officially opening on the 14th of March, this is the final phase of development before launch on the 28th of March this year.

Alas, the open beta is only available to OGPlanet-registered North Americans at the moment but there is no key required to play. Simply visit this site, download the client and get shooting. If you require additional information you can check out the official site here or their Facebook page here.

I have to admit I’m quite jealous of our American counter-parts, as the footage so far looks like this is going to be one crazy game.

Magical Suite Prism Nana Video Shows Off Bikinis

prism-nana-01

Studio SHAFT, made famous by its previous works of Bakemonogatari and Puella Magi Madoka Magica, has added a 6th pilot video to its official site and with clever angles it depicts the main cast in a new light. Magical Suite Prism Nana appears to be yet another take on the magical girl genre, set during the near future in a clean and prosperous city. The story focuses on three young girls who battle monsters once they transform into elemental “Nanas” allowing them to channel the powers of fire, earth and water. Fans are expecting SHAFT’s much-loved eclectic art style and directing.

Aside from the involvement of SHAFT, Prism Nana is playing host to the voice talents of Kitamura Eri (Sayaka Miki, Araragi Karen) and the anticipated art of Kantoku. Kantoku’s art work and character designs are rapidly becoming popular and are also featured in the upcoming anime adaptation of The “Hentai” Prince and the Stony Cat.

First announced in August 2012 and despite numerous trailers, it is still a mystery whether Magical Suite Prism Nana will be released as a TV anime, OVA or in another medium altogether. You can find the announcement trailer released last year below.

As you can tell from the above image, the VanillaWare developed game will be given some sort of update next week on March 21st. Those curious about what the game is, can check out it’s trailer released last month here.

Issac-Rebirth-vita-teaser

While we now know that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is set to be released on the PC, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita sometime later this year, we haven’t seen much from the game since it was announced late in 2012.

Now today Edmund McMillen chose to post a teaser image, which you can see above, that shows off the Vita version of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth via a boss-like teaser showing Isaac facing off against a horrible looking skull-face thing. When it was announced that Binding of Isaac: Rebirth would be heading to consoles, an Xbox 360 and Wii U version were mentioned as being attempted, however given the nature of the game, it is currently unknown if either company will allow the title to be released on their console.

Recently it was surprisingly revealed that Drakengard 3 is currently being developed by Access Games and will be published by Square Enix sometime in the future. However outside of some artwork and scans of a magazine, no one knew what to expect from the game.

That is until today when the game’s official website launched with some high resolution screens from the game. Now while the graphics from these screens look rather dismal, it is worth noting that the developers mentioned that the title is only 60% done at this point, so hopefully things will improve visually by the time the game is released.
