haiyore-nyaruko-s2-01
Cthulhu-inspired moe anime, Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, is coming back with a second season on April 7. A second trailer for the upcoming anime has been streamed, with the adorable Nyarlathotep “Nyaruko” again taking centre stage along with all the familiar characters. Crunchyroll streamed the first season under the title of Nyaruko-san: Another Crawling Chaos last year in April.

A unique take on H.P. Lovecraft’s horror classics, Nyaruko-san sees the ordinary student Mahiro caught up in a cosmic dilemma as the Great Ones from the Cthulhu mythos start appearing on Earth. Among them is the overwhelming Nyaruko, “the creeping chaos always smiling beside you”, who declares her love for Mahiro despite the emerging love triangle.

“Always On” Games to Blame for Viruses?

Game-Over-Logo-01

In a recent article presented by ESET UK Masters, statistics are given to show gamers that “always on” titles like SimCity, Diablo III, and World of Warcraft can provide a greater threat to your PC. The major catch for even the “internet savvy” gamers is that many of the players are forgoing the security of their computers to reduce in-game lag or pop-ups. Some players even claim that it is hard to decipher what truly is a malignant program when viruses have been geared towards specific games. Out of 1,000 PC gamers surveyed, 31% claimed that they disabled their computer security before playing an online game.

Quinton Watts, VP of Marketing and Sales at ESET, had the following to say:

It’s evident that gamers are not protecting themselves sufficiently and are unaware of the risk of playing online without protection – and as more and more titles require a constant Internet connection, that’s a real worry. We’re in an age where cyber attacks can be detrimental to a person’s identity security and gamers, savvy as they may be, put themselves at risk far more than they need to.

While online games continually pose a threat to PCs, gamers and consumers alike need to be smart about keeping their investment secure. Never share out personal information online and keep some sort of antivirus on in the background. If you truly want less lag, fork over the money to purchase a decent computer/connection. Yesterday it was rumored that Deus Ex: Human Revolution would be coming to the Wii U and today Square Enix confirmed that rumor and released various details about the game. Deus Ex: Human Revolution – The Director’s Cut as it is called will be a Wii U version of the game that features various touch screen features such as touch screen hacking, interactive map editing, sniping, grenade throwbacks and more.

The game will also feature something Square Enix is calling “in-depth Miiverse integration” as well as developer commentaries, in-game guides and overhauled boss fights for everyone who complained about it. It will also support improved AI, a few visual improvements and more game balances.

Also included in Deus Ex: Human Revolution – The Director’s Cut is the Tong Rescue Mission and Missing Link DLC chapter, both of which have been “integrated seamlessly into the narrative flow” of the game.

Atelier Meruru Plus’ final countdown trailer says Rorona Plus will “not be released”

Meruru-Plus-swimsuit- (20)

Today the final countdown video for Atelier Meruru Plus was released on Gust’s official channel and this time around we have not only the game’s director Yoshito Okamura providing text narration, the game’s producer Keisuke Kikuchi shows up as well.

However there is some bad news for his visit, it seems that Atelier Rorona, the first game in the Arland series, will not be given the Plus treatment. He states that it “doesn’t have the kind of content” that the series requires for a Plus version. He does say that the company wants to make the game “an expansion that conveys the reason why we left it for last.” Whether this means that there may be a final ultimate version for Rorona sometime in the future is currently unknown.

Anyways, Atelier Meruru Plus will be released in Japan this week, and since Atelier Totori Plus was stealth released onto the PlayStation Network in the West yesterday, perhaps Meruru will show up too. Only this time, let’s hope Tecmo Koei actually announces their plans on localizing the game.
