Driveclub-E3-01

Sony and Evolution Studios continue to blow people away with the photo-realistic look of DriveClub. A new E3 2013 trailer has been released, and can be viewed embedded at the bottom of this article.

There’s not much else to say as a picture paints a thousand words. I think at first, when the reveal trailer for DriveClub was revealed, people misinterpreted it as real footage/CG. But now people are coming around to realise that this is in-game, and it looks incredible.

Again, check out the E3 trailer out for yourself below and stay tuned to Capsule Computers for all future DriveClub updates.

I’ll Give It My All…Tomorrow To End In July

Here’s some news for the underground/alternative manga fans out there, Viz media will be releasing the fifth and final volume of I’ll Give It My All… Tomorrow around mid-July this year.

The manga was created by Shunju Aono and was published in Monthly Ikki Magazine from 2007-2012. The story focuses around 40 year old Shizuo Oguro, who is fed up with his normal everyday job and decides to quit. Due to his overall laziness, his sudden decision is not well received by his father or daughter. With all the free time he now has, Shizou focuses on becoming a successful manga artist… after he’s finished playing video games, drinking with his mates and lying around all day.

The art style and story plot is not what many manga fans will be used to, but it is an interesting read about a middle aged man who you’d just love to hate. In an interview about the manga, Aono says he was drawing in that style ever since he was young and describes Shizou as a bad example for people. Click here to check out the Viz media section for the manga.

A live-action adaptation of the manga has been made and will be released in Japan on the 15th of June.

Sony Confirms the Playstation 4 will be Used Game Friendly

ps4-used-games-motto-01

During their E3 Conference, Sony changed the opinions of many by standing up for the consumers, ensuring that used games would be a part of their future with the PS4. As you see in the image above, this type of new commitment was a bold move to make, but something many gamers have been concerned about greatly with the Xbox One.

I for one am proud to see such a sight, a company that came in last this generation, trying to turn their business model around by simply saying that your game is your own and not the property of the company that you bought it from. It truly shouldn’t be an issue, but Microsoft have now made it one. Sony, we salute you, and hopefully Microsoft will change their own minds and decide to let the consumer prevail as well during the upcoming generation.

PlayStation 4 confirmed to be region free

We’ve heard plenty of great things about the PlayStation 4 so far from E3, including the fact that it will only cost $399, won’t block used games and will not require an internet connection every 24 hours to play and now we have even more good news for Sony’s latest console.

According to Brad Douglas, a man who works at Sony Japan, he was told by Sony Computer Entertainment’s public relations that the PlayStation 4 will be region free just like the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Portable and partially the PS Vita. To be a bit more exact he stated on Twitter that “SCEI PR tells me ‘no region locking’”.

Grand Theft Auto V Bundle and Custom Headset Announced

gta-v-bundle-01

GTA V made an interesting impression this year at E3, with Rockstar announcing a new Playstation 3 bundle that will come with the game, a 30 day Playstation Plus membership, the 500GB console, and a custom headset produced by Pulse, allowing the player to pick up all of the city’s sounds. How much you ask? How about a cool $299.

Not a shabby deal for those wanting a bigger and better console, and just like the bundles of the past, the offer will be quite tempting for those who have yet to take the dive in Sony’s older console. Keep in mind that there are other options for those with a PS3, but a great deal does await if you seen some new headphones and a shiny new system.

Time and Eternity gets two snippets of gameplay footage and some new screens

With E3 just around the corner things have gotten quite busy but not busy enough that we can’t take some time and enjoy some great JRPGs that are on their way to Western shores. Over the weekend NIS America has shared a couple videos featuring new Time and Eternity combat as well as some new English screenshots of the game featuring combat, dialogue and skill menu screens.

The videos can be seen below and in the first one we see Toki’s alternate personality Towa battling against a monster in combat while the second video below that one displays Toki finishing off an enemy with a special attack and ending the battle. Currently Time and Eternity is set to be released exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on July 16th.

The trailer can be seen embedded at the bottom of this article. This gives new meaning to “toilet gaming”.
