…the challenge to translate this trailer!

October 12 can’t come soon enough for us Pokefans! I personally will be purchasing a 3DS, if only for Pokemon X & Y. And in this new preview trailer embedded at the bottom of this article, you’ll see why.

The video is in Japanese, but being a visual medium, we’re sure you’ll be able to figure out what is being referenced (and you’re probably used to it by now as it is the norm with Nintendo trailers). Basically, every new feature that has so far been announced is showcased: the ‘Fairy’ type, starter Pokemon, four new rivals, Player Search System (PSS), Horde Encounters, Sky Battles, Pokemon-amie and more. Check it out directly below!

Kingdoms Rise On Steam Greenlight

kingdom-rise-screenshotKingdoms Rise is a medieval fantasy themed action game developed by a small Australian indie developer called Flyleap Studios. Players will wield a variety of fantastical weapons and spells as they battle for supremacy. There are no classes, players customize their characters based on the gear, spells, and abilities chosen.

There are currently five game modes planned. The three online modes are a no respawn team deathmatch mode called Opposing Kingdoms, a traditional free for all deathmatch, and a party based deathmatch mode called Party Survival. Those playing offline can participate in arcade style ladder climb or build their own scenarios.

Kingdom Rise runs on Valve’s Source Engine and currently on Steam Greenlight. It is slated for a Q4 2013 release.

Disney Infinity Goes In-DEPP-tion With New Trailer

disney-infinity-screenshot-09

Johnny Depp is quickly becoming a mainstay of live-action Disney films. First playing Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, and now in the role of Tonto from The Lone Ranger. His lovable antics and the life he brings to these characters have earned them both spots in Disney Infinity’s line-up of Play Sets available at launch.

Poking fun at itself in a very meta-way, Disney have put up a new trailer for Disney Infinity. This one, as I’m sure you’ve guessed by  now (from my oh so witty title) has the two Depp-played characters meeting each other in the game’s Toy Box Mode. Although they are only toys, their gestures and facial expressions are perfectly recreated for the game.

The little trailer will show before screenings of The Lone Ranger at theaters, but you can check it out below. Disney Infinity is set for release globally on August 18th. If you need your fill of Lone Ranger before then, check out the iOS game that Disney released today. For all the Disney Infinity news as it becomes available, stay tuned to Capsule Computers.

Welcome to Activison and Bungie’s sci-fi, shooter and action game Destiny, a world where you’re a legend in the making, a guardian of the last safe city in the future on earth. A new E3 demo gameplay walkthrough video has been released for Destiny, showcasing the compelling story-driven universe that will be available on PS3, PS4 , Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

In the video, we see Darla and Joe exploring Old Russia, heading towards the wild frontier on the other side of the wall to meet their friend Josh. The most entertaining aspect of the gameplay video is the interactive online atmosphere, where we see each player utilise advanced technology such as the Ghost (a floating drone that sheds light) and highly explosive weaponry, such as the Thunderlord and Rocket Launcher, to defeat alien ships and devil walkers in the public event.

If you were among the many that played The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind you would remember those bug-like creatures, the kwama. Well they’re back in the series’ MMO iteration, Elder Scrolls Online, as seen in the trailer below.

With the scant few 40 seconds given to us, you can see some basic combat as well as some first-person action. The kwama work in underground colonies similar to ant hives and were a vital part to the economy within Morrowind.

The Elder Scrolls Online is being developed by Zenimax Online Studios, will be released on PC and was recently announced for the PS4 and Xbox One.

project-x-zone-aus-box-art

While gamers in Japan have been able to play the title for quite some time and gamers in North America have been enjoying it since last week, gamers in the land down under have been waiting patiently for Namco Bandai to bring Project x Zone to their 3DS’.

Well that day has come as Project x Zone is now available for purchase in both Australia and New Zealand. The title features over sixty different characters from numerous franchises from Namco Bandai, Capcom and Sega. I reviewed the title roughly a week ago and found it an amazing strategy RPG with only a few drawbacks. You can check out the full review of Project x Zone here.

dragons-crown-july- (1)

Today Atlus USA released a few details concerning the customization options that will be available for players in Dragon’s Crown. You see there are a number of ways to customize these characters besides simply palette swapping the character models, though the company did provide images of each characters’ color options and these can be found below.

To be a bit more specific the company provided a list of all options which can be found below:

  • Name – Character names are selected randomly initially, but are fully editable. (within good taste, naturally)
  • Outfit – Each class comes with five different color palette options for their outfits, ranging from “True Steel” to “Deep Crow.”
  • Voice – Not only will each class have an English voice, but we’ve also left the Japanese combat voices in the game. It’s a per-character option, so the battlefield can have a mix of languages.
  • Analog – For the old-school fans out there, Dragon’s Crown includes an option to switch movement from the analog stick to the D-Pad. (other controls are locked)
