Spartacus Legends Takes the Fight to Consoles Today

International fans of the Starz series Spartacus finally have their chance to relive the action of the series in their own way as publisher Ubisoft announces that the new game Spartacus Legends has just been released outside of North America. Developed by Kung Fu Factory, the game is now available worldwide and also completely for free.

For its launch, Spartacus Legends also has a new trailer, probably as brutal as the last, showing off the blood soaked gameplay, as the game allows players to make their own gladiators and those from the show. Additional features include the ability to improve these gladiators with boosts and perks or alternatively run a gladiator school where how its gladiators do will increase its fame.

Check out the launch trailer embedded below as players worldwide can now check out the free to play Spartacus Legends on both the XBLA and PSN, though the Xbox version does require Xbox Live Gold.

New Final Fantasy X Video Compares SD and HD

After some awesome looking screenshots showing off the other HD Final Fantasy game on its way, Final Fantasy X HD now has a new video of its own, specifically showcasing the new graphics. With a side by side comparison, players can see just how much better Square Enix is making the HD version look, instead of see the newest graphics compared to their rose-color glassed memories.

The video is short, only two and half minutes, but it does show off the improvements that have gone into Final Fantasy X HD, such as the bigger display. Though it is a little comical to see the two running side by side, while still just a tad off, most noticeably in the blinks.

Those wanting to see how the SD and HD compare can view the video embedded below. Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD is set to release this Fall for PS3 together or as individual games on PS Vita.

Established in 2008, Milk Shadow Books are planning heaps more such as Da ‘n’ Dill – The Showbag Years, a collection of all the infamous comics of the same name that have entertained kids and adults alike as they were sneakily placed in Aussie showbags.

“We believe that the breadth, exceptional quality, and dare I say, sheer tenacity of the Milk Shadow Books offering will compliment what we do perfectly,” said Daniel Chlebowczyk, Product Manager of Manga & Graphic Novels at Madman.

Likewise, James Andre of Milk Shadow Books states, “It’s an honour to be working with Madman. With their cutting edge animation and alternative media collection, we see the future of our two companies working perfectly together.”

This is the latest partnership Madman have made with graphic novel publishers, following the deal with Gestalt Publishing. We’ll be seeing the range of Milk Shadow Books released by Madman sometime in August this year.

tales-of-xillia-2-announce- (1)

While many of the people in attendance at Japan Expo were saying that Tales of Xillia 2 was also coming to North America, it was never explicitly said that the game would be released in the region. That changed today when Namco Bandai officially announced that the game will indeed be released in North America and Latin America sometime in 2014.

It is worth noting that Tales of Xillia 2 will give players bonus items if they have a save file for the original Tales of Xillia on their console, so be sure to keep an eye out for Tales of Xillia 1 when it is released next month. To go along with this confirmation announcement the company also released a handful of screenshots for Tales of Xillia 2 which you can see below.
