Meant Well Games announces Voice Heist, a comedy action game you play by giving orders out loud, developed on Tryll Engine’s on-device AI stack

Your robot partner does something about every command, and some of the time it’s the thing you actually asked for. Case the joint, pick your way in, and start talking.

Dublin, Ireland, August 19, 2026Meant Well Games today announced Voice Heist, a first-person comedy game in which the player is the brain of the operation and an AI-driven robot partner is the hands. The fun lives in the gap between what you meant and what he heard. Every action in the game happens only through a command to the partner. On-device AI makes the robot a living NPC. He comments on your orders and on what happens around him, and he answers questions. The language model lets him react like a character rather than a scripted sidekick reading a list. The AI stack comes from Tryll Engine, the studio’s technology partner.

Every command and object pair has an authored correct outcome and authored comically wrong ones, all written and animated by real people. The LLM chooses between those outcomes, it doesn’t invent behaviour. Text input is planned throughout as well, so the game stays playable without a microphone.

Every loud mistake pushes the alarm meter up, and the higher the alarm climbs, the more nervous the robot gets. So the pressure isn’t only the countdown. It’s the gradual loss of control over your own tool. Each level has several ways through. Straight in through the window, or the back door with lockpicks? Kill the cameras, hack the server, or just grab everything that isn’t nailed down? There are no dead ends, because a botched approach costs you a route, never the run. Reach the getaway point with a full bag before the clock runs out, or leave with nothing and a much better story.

“We keep the whole stack on the player’s machine: the ears, the brain and the mouth. No cloud means no network latency I don’t control, no bill for every line the robot says, and nothing about the player’s voice leaving their computer. The model is small, and it isn’t allowed to invent behaviour: it picks from a closed set of actions, and the comedy is written in advance, by hand. The AI here is a translator and a comedian, not a game designer.” – Sergey Plyaka, founder, Meant Well Games.

Voice Heist is planned for release on PC in 2027.

About Meant Well Games

Meant Well Games is a four-person studio based in Dublin, Ireland. It makes games where AI works inside the gameplay rather than inside content production: characters who listen to the player and answer in the moment, instead of performing a pre-recorded dialogue tree. The art, the design and the comedy are authored by people — the model performs, it doesn’t write. The studio is named after its first character’s single most reliable quality.

About Tryll

Tryll Engine brings on-device AI into games, enabling developers to run AI models directly on players’ hardware and create new kinds of gaming experiences. Its engine runs small language models, speech recognition, and speech synthesis locally on the player’s machine, letting studios add conversational characters through Unity and Unreal plugins without relying on cloud services or per-message costs. The company is based in the US and Belgium. An Epic MegaGrants recipient.

THE FPS GAMES SHOW, PRESENTED BY BULKHEAD, DEBUTS ON 3 SEPTEMBER WITH A DEDICATED SHOWCASE FOR FPS PLAYERS

ESCAPE FROM TARKOV, READY OR NOT, RAINBOW SIX SIEGE, WARDOGS, GRAY ZONE WARFARE, HELL LET LOOSE: VIETNAM AND MORE JOIN A FAST-MOVING SHOWCASE OF NEWS, GAMEPLAY, UPDATES AND REVEALS ACROSS 16 TITLES

[19 August, 2026] –  The FPS Games Show, presented by Bulkhead, is a new pre-recorded showcase dedicated entirely to FPS games, which will debut live on 3 September 2026 at 19:00 BST / 20:00 CEST exclusively on Twitch at twitch.tv/thefpsgamesshow

A first-of-its-kind collaborative showcase, the FPS Games Show brings together studios from across the genre to create a shared showcase of content for FPS players. Rather than studios paying for placement or competing for attention, every developer involved is participating freely, with no paid placements and no marketing spend required to appear in the show. Instead, participating studios are coming together to champion one another’s games, share exclusive news, trailers and gameplay, and celebrate the FPS genre as a whole.

Built around titles players are already invested in, alongside new games and updates worth discovering, the show is designed to give the FPS community something it rarely gets: a showcase created collectively by the people making these games, for the players who love them.

FPS is one of gaming’s biggest, most passionate and most performance-driven audiences, but until now has not had a dedicated showcase of its own.

FPS games have been a cornerstone of the industry for more than three decades, building one of the biggest and most dedicated player communities in gaming. Yet that audience is underserved when it comes to a dedicated place for news, updates and new game reveals,” said Joe Brammer, CEO of Bulkhead.

The FPS Games Show aims to change that by bringing studios together to showcase their work, support one another and celebrate our collective love of the genre. It’s about giving FPS games, and the players who are passionate about them, a show of their own.”

Rather than mixing shooters into long line-ups spanning unrelated genres, the FPS Games Show puts FPS games, communities and players at the centre. Viewers can expect new trailers, gameplay, content updates and news, all wrapped in a show designed for FPS players, by FPS players.

The 16 title lineup includes: Rainbow Six Siege, Escape from Tarkov, Ready or Not, Stalzone, SCUM, Gray Zone Warfare, Wardogs, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, Beautiful Light, Bellum, Incursion Red River, Road to Vostok, Sand Raiders of Sophie, Bodycam, 83, and Terminal War.

“The FPS Games Show is a great example of studios coming together to celebrate the genre, showcase the games players are invested in, and support each other’s work.” said Shed Wilson, Director + Co-Founder at BOOST.

There’s a real sense of unity around FPS games, both among the studios making them and the players who love them. This really is the first time studios have come together like this to showcase their games to the wider community.”

Every participating studio, publisher and creator will co-host the FPS Games Show directly to their own communities, significantly extending its reach across the genre. Through co-hosting, reactions and community promotion, each participant will not only showcase their own games, but help amplify those of others, with everyone taking part for free.

The show will combine a fast paced showcase with a player-first, self-aware tone, aiming to feel less like a corporate reel and more like something FPS players actually want to watch, featuring games and creators they know and respect. A proper celebration of the genre, made for players who want updates for the games they love.

Support from both Twitch and Steam further strengthens the FPS Games Show’s ambition to create a major collaborative moment for the genre. Twitch is helping bring this first-of-its-kind celebration to as many players as possible by supporting participating game communities and developers, while Steam will host a dedicated 3rd Party platform event featuring selected titles, including discounts, free demos and free weekends.

Together, their involvement brings developers, platforms and players together around FPS games as a whole.

The FPS Games Show, presented by Bulkhead, takes place on 3 September 2026 @ 19:00 BST / 20:00 CEST exclusively on Twitch at twitch.tv/thefpsgamesshow

About FPS Games Show

The FPS Games Show is a collaborative project between Bulkhead, BOOST and the studios and partners involved, and a first-of-its-kind showcase dedicated entirely to the FPS genre. It brings studios together around a shared moment for players to celebrate the games, communities and experiences that define it.

Built around real news, real gameplay and meaningful updates from titles players are already invested in, the show is created collaboratively by the studios taking part, with developers and publishers not only showcasing their own games, but helping champion the work of everyone involved. There are no paid placements or marketing fees required to participate; the aim is to create something the genre can collectively rally behind.

Combining game content, hosted moments, creator introductions and a consistent broadcast identity, the FPS Games Show is designed as a faster, more focused alternative to broad gaming showcases. It will be distributed through a dedicated Twitch channel, with further amplification from participating studios, publishers, creators and their communities.

SiN: Reloaded Coming to PC and Console on September 24

The much anticipated remaster is coming to PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch

New York (August 19, 2026) Nightdive Studios — a renowned video game remaster studio and Atari® subsidiary — is excited to announce that SiN: Reloaded, the long-awaited remaster of the 1998 cult classic FPS, will release on September 24 for PC and consoles. This deep remaster of SiN boasts enhanced visuals, modernized control schemes, and includes the Wages of SiN extra mission pack.

Known for pushing the Quake II engine to its limits and its pulpy, cyberpunk-style antagonist, Elexis Sinclaire, SiN is considered both the last of the original-style boomer shooters and an important transitional moment to a more modern approach. The title was an industry trendsetter, featuring a cinematic plot, scripted sequences, non-linear game design, interactive environments, complex maps, and dynamic enemy reactions.

Set in a near-future dystopian world, SiN: Reloaded puts players in control of security consultant Colonel John R. Blade as players take on his nemesis Doctor Elexis Sinclaire. When Elexis, CEO of SinTEK Industries, begins injecting the streets with a DNA-altering drug, it’s time to reassess the laws of morality by facing off against Elexis’ unholy army of genetically-engineered mutants.

The original SiN was lauded for introducing a groundbreaking level of interactivity. Players can hack their way into computer terminals using DOS-style code, use elevators and security cameras to wreak havoc, and traverse levels using a variety of vehicles, including a forklift, a patrol boat, and a helicopter. Players’ actions have consequences, creating branching paths as the game progresses.

SiN also helped pioneer the ability to knock weapons out of an opponent’s hands and take area-specific damage from their attacks. SiN: Reloaded includes the Wages of SiN mission pack, where players go up against a mafia boss with a new army of dangerous henchmen. Both games have been optimized using Nightdive’s proprietary KEX Engine to play on modern systems, and graphics have been beautifully remastered with new textures. Additionally, control schemes have been modernized and maps have been improved with Nightdive’s established precision.

Key Features:

  • Fans can play the original SiN and the SiN: Wages of Sin mission pack, both optimized using the KEX Engine
  • Players can enjoy beautifully remastered graphics with HD textures and models (up to) 4K resolution at 144 FPS, anti-aliasing, and upgraded 2D screens and menu art
  • Overhauled control schemes and modernized UI for gamepads and mouse & keyboard make playing easier than ever
  • Improved maps throughout the entirety of the game give an upgraded feel across the experience
  • Players can swap between remastered visuals and the original SiN Gold version for an original feel
  • Players can trophy hunt like never before with brand-new achievements
  • Higher resolution Zak Belika tracks that have been mixed/engineered by Chris Mock
  • A vault filled with exclusive, behind-the-scenes material for diehard fans
  • The Nintendo Switch version of SiN: Reloaded can be digitally upgraded to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for no additional cost.

SiN: Reloaded will be released for Windows PC (via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 1|2 on September 24th.

PREPARE TO FACE A BRAND-NEW CHALLENGE IN NIOH 3’S FIRST DLC, HELL RISING, OUT NOW!

Fans can glimpse the intense battles that await them in the launch trailer!

Hertfordshire, 19th August 2026 – Today, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA invite players to once again conquer the Crucible with the release of Hell Rising, the first DLC for their popular dark samurai action RPG, Nioh 3. In addition, Nioh 3’s second DLC, Bloody Insurrection, is currently in development, with more information to be revealed soon. Hell Rising is now available for PlayStation®5 and Windows PC via Steam®.

In Hell Rising, players will travel to the Keian era where they will encounter a version of Edo in the midst of a crisis following the death of the future shogun, Takechiyo. Joined by the one-eyed swordsman Yagyu Jubei and the Spanish envoy Rodrigo, players will explore an emerging mystery surrounding the Spirit Stones. The new open-field map, the Keian era, will feature a hellish wasteland ravaged by the gales of the Crucible, where yokai, human rebels and alchemists from foreign lands roam.

Players will enter the fray with new weapons in their arsenal, the Hoko and Shield for both the Samurai and Ninja Styles, combining the offence of the short spear with the defence offered by the shield. These weapons will allow fans to battle using more tactical manoeuvres, such as flinging the shield at enemies. In addition, players seeking a greater challenge will be able to utilise the Hundred Demon Realms Picture Scroll, a new equipment category, which will allow for customisable battles to be fought and replayed. Enemies will sometimes drop a Picture Scroll as rare loot, and players must achieve victory in the automatically generated battle associated with that scroll to equip the item. These battles can be repeated to allow players to randomly alter one of the scroll’s special effects, as well as strengthening and customising it.

Furthermore, players will be put to the test in a new difficulty setting for those wishing to attempt a third playthrough, the Enlightened One’s Journey. In this extreme difficulty mode, certain enemies will randomly receive a Curse buff that will make them significantly more powerful, but will reward players with divine-rarity items if they manage to defeat them. Players will be also able to further enhance their character builds with divine-rarity Grace set bonuses and powerful special effects. Finally, fans can look forward to developing new strategies for the fierce battles ahead with the introduction of Martial Arts, Skills, Ninjutsu, Onmyo Magic, and a new Guardian Spirit.

In Nioh 3, released in February 2026, players take on the role ofTokugawa Takechiyo, poised to become the next shogun during Japan’s prosperous Edo era. The story unfolds on a larger scale than ever before in series history, covering various eras and regions including Edo Castle, the Totomi region during the Warring States era, the Heian era’s capital city of Kyoto, and, for the first time in the franchise’s history, the Bakumatsu era. Players can freely explore each era as a vast open field, featuring beautiful and distinct environments.

Before launching into the full game, players have the opportunity to hone their skills in the free demo, which includes both solo play and online multiplayer mode for up to three players on both PlayStation®5* and Windows PC via Steam®**.  Fans can create their own custom character and dive into the turbulent Warring States era, even testing their abilities in an electrifying boss fight against Jakotsu-baba, with the ability to carry over save data to the full version of the game.

* PlayStation®5 users in Germany will need to have a PlayStation®Plus account in order to download and play the demo.

**Cross-play is not supported for online multiplayer mode.

Nioh 3 is now available worldwide on PlayStation®5 and Windows PC via Steam®. The game includes Japanese and English voices with texts in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.

Mold-breaking Deckbuilding Action Card Game, Golden Swirl, Coming On September 9th

Strategy meets action-combat evasion in a dark fantasy world full of difficult choices and fascinating characters

Hong Kong, China – August 19th, 2026 – Snako Production and Infini Fun are pleased to announce that their mold-breaking fusion of deckbuilding strategy and action-combat evasion, Golden Swirl, is coming to Steam on September 9th. Golden Swirl is a semi-real-time action card game where you control your character to dodge enemy attacks and reposition to strike back with your cards, balancing deck-building with tactical movement.

Move, dodge, and seize the perfect moment to play your cards amidst the clash of steel and magic. Utilize the timing of every card played to reposition and adjust your attack vectors. With four characters to choose from, each with their own unique starting relics and card pools, and over 120 cards and over 100 relics to add to your collection, you can forge unique builds tailored to match your playstyle and discover deep synergies to craft devastatingly effective strategies.

Explore 5 wildly distinct Acts, each guarded by formidable, unfathomable foes lying in wait. In these procedurally generated dungeons, you will meet maddened merchants and silent swordsmen with their own tales to tell. Every interaction and every difficult choice you make will sway the Golden Will, permanently altering your combat rewards and resource progression. As the Golden Will shifts, NPCs themselves transform — changing their appearance, altering what they offer in trade, and granting new cards that hit harder but come laced with negative side effects.

Golden Swirl is set in a dark fantasy world, scored to a rousing soundtrack. The deities have fallen after  the “Great Dreamer” invaded the realm and the Black Moon twisted into a colossal Swirl poised to devour everything. You represent the last glimmer of hope: “The Nameless One”. You must step into the treacherous Golden Swirl and uncover the ultimate truth behind this apocalyptic cataclysm.

Experience Terror Through The Eyes of a Child With Baptiste’s Psyche-Shredding New Trailer

Step into the shoes of a traumatized child to escape a reality-bending nightmare this fall.

August 19, 2026 – Spanish indie studio Firenut Games and Digital Dreams today released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming survival horror title, Baptiste, which will strike fear into the hearts of players this fall on consoles and Steam

The new trailer sets the stage for the reality-blurring journey that awaits in Baptiste, offering a glimpse of the game’s cast of characters and the eerie, isolated mansion players will explore as they face off against supernatural forces and their own inner demons in a fight for survival.

At the center of Baptiste’s narrative-driven adventure is Tom, a child who frees an eerie doll from its display case and is thrust into a fear-soaked journey. Through his eyes, Baptiste explores how tragedy and loss can fracture a family’s reality, and how a child struggles to cope with the emotional scars of devastating events.

Baptiste draws inspiration from classic horror tales like the allegedly possessed doll Annabelle and R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps story Night of the Living Dummy, as well as fan-favourite psychological horror games such as P.T., Layers of Fear, and the Outlast series. The game combines exploration and environmental storytelling as players explore an ominous mansion, piece together clues, and solve puzzles to uncover its dark secrets and the story behind the game’s titular living doll.

Following a family tragedy, Sara and her son, Tom, seek a fresh start at Jagged Shore Cliff, but it quickly unravels into a new nightmare. In their new and mysterious home, a dusty cabinet holds Baptiste, an unsettling doll accompanied by an ominous warning: “Never release this from its glass prison.” What ought to have been a shelter becomes the scene of a nightmare that defies all logic, putting their sanity and desire to survive to the test.

Rather than rely on jump scares, Baptiste’s take on the psychological horror genre combines atmospheric tension and emotional depth, exploring how tragedy and loss can fracture a family’s reality, particularly through the lens of a child attempting to cope with intensely traumatic events. It also examines the descent into madness, blurring the lines between what is real and what is a nightmare, reflecting the fragile state of the mind under extreme emotional distress to tell a story of human vulnerability.

  • Total immersion: Submerge yourself in a first-hand experience where the line between the game and reality blurs further with each step you take.
