One of the most adored modes in the Rainbow Six franchise is returning! Terrorist Hunt will be one of the playable modes in the upcoming FPS Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.  Also known as Terrohunt, players will be able to team up with up to four friends to conquer the AI. The mode will have four game modes in itself in addition to a slew of variable parameters to tweak the difficulty of the game using the Siege Generator. Players can kill all the terrorists in Terrohunt Classic, extract and secure a hostage in Hostage Extraction, protect a hostage, and disarm the bomb in the four modes.

The other two modes will be the already covered multiplayer PvP mode and a Missions mode that will serve as a extended tutorial for new players. All experience points gained in one mode will carry over to the other modes.

shenmue-3-screenshot-001

It appears that we may finally be getting Shenmue 3. After a possible tease yesterday it turns out that Yu Suzuki wasn’t just taunting fans, he was giving us a hint that Shenmue 3 is possibly in the works. Today during Sony’s E3 2015 press conference Yu Suzuki took to the stage to announce that he will be launching a Kickstarter to try and fund Shenmue 3. He is asking for $2 million but at the time of this writing they have already made $502, 397.

If funded the game will be released for the PC and PlayStation 4. You can find the Kickstarter here and a message for fans of Shenmue below:

Since the release of Shenmue 2, now 14 years ago, I have been greeted by the passionate outpouring of dedicated fans and Shenmue community members wherever I go. They all want to know one thing: “When will Shenmue 3 be coming out?” With the advent of games using Kickstarter during these past few years, the new and now frequent demand from the fans has been, “Do a Kickstarter for Shenmue 3!”

If Shenmue 3 was going to get made, I wanted to make it with the fans. Through Kickstarter, I knew that could happen. Together, with Shenmue fans everywhere, I knew we could build the game that the series deserves.

If we do not reach our funding goal, Shenmue 3 will not go forward. I know that the goal of making Shenmue 3 with the fans, and seeing Shenmue in the hands of gamers all around the world is a lofty one. We are balancing our ambitions for a grand sequel with the pragmatic realities of developing a game of this scale. It will not be easy, but I have dreamed of making this sequel for 14 years – it is time to bring Shenmue back! And to make it come true, it will need the love and support from each and every one of you!

So please join us in making Shenmue 3 – let us grow our community and build a new, exciting Shenmue experience!

final-fantasy-VII-Remake-screenshot-001

horizon-zero-dawn-screenshot-001

During their E3 2015 press conference Sony let Guerrilla Games developers take the stage to announce that they were making a brand new I.P. called Horizon: Zero Dawn. Very few details about Horizon: Zero Dawn were given but a very long cinematic trailer was shown off where it appears that the world has undergone an apocalypse but people have recovered over time to the point that humanity is back on the rise.

However it seems that strange robotic creatures have begun roaming the land with animal like forms and a tribal looking huntress kills them before treating them with respect. Currently Horizon: Zero Dawn is set to be released as a PlayStation 4 exclusive in 2016.

Ghost-Recon-Wildlands-screenshot-002

Ghost Recon Wildlands takes place in the largest action-adventure open world Ubisoft has created to date. With hundreds of villages and well-known landmarks, local legends and various factions and regions, players venture into a vast world with which to interact and explore. The Ghosts’ upgradable skills, along with a vast arsenal of weapons, vehicles and drones, will help them take down their dangerous enemies. You can check out the reveal trailer below.

Assassins-Creed-Syndicate-E3-screenshot- (4)

It wouldn’t be a Ubisoft presentation without some Assassin’s Creed to show off and near the end of their E3 2015 press conference the company did just that when they revealed more information and gameplay footage for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.

Assassins-Creed-Syndicate-E3-screenshot- (1)

Set to be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 23rd, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is set in the more modern setting of 1868, smack dab in the middle of the Industrial Revolution, where players will play a pair of twins named Jacob and Evie Frye. The company showed off a few snippets of gameplay, including footage of a rope launcher and cane sword, as well as a cinematic trailer and you can check out both of these below.

Ubisoft’s 2015 E3 Presentation: The Complete Recap

south-park-the-fractured-but-whole-03

Welcome to Capsule Computers live (or semi-live) recap of events with the 2015 E3 showing for Ubisoft. Below are the announcements as they occur, laced in some opinion as needed of course, so let’s get to it!

south-park-the-fractured-but-whole-02

And without missing a beat, South Park: The Fractured but Whole has been announced. Matt Stone and Trey Parker take the stage after a short clip airs, announcing that they are ready to actually do the sequel, while Aisha Tyler spices up the dialogue with some playful banter. We have not seen the end of the new kid.

for-honor-screenshot-01

Yves Guillemont comes out after a Ubisoft is made humble, announcing a new, fresh IP dubbed For Honor. It looks awesome all around, and Jason Vanderberg comes out to give some explanation. For honor is a multiplayer title where players literally go to war with an opposing side. Every watch a war movie with soldiers just rushing into each other? Well, that is pretty much the gameplay featured within For Honor, though the one on one battles are a bit more complex. It looks gory and fun – so I am down for this.

the-crew-expansion-e3-01

We quickly see a trailer for The Crew: Wild Run – which is an expansion of the main game and features monster trucks. It seems decent, but things are moving so fast that we move into Trials: Awesome Level Max, which is like a bad internet joke and reminds me of why I didn’t care for Far Cry: Blood Dragon.

the-division-e3-ubisoft-01

The Division is up next, and Ubi are speaking of The Dark Zone, which is a dark and unnerving setting within the game. We see multiple players on a mission at an extraction point, and while the visuals don’t blow me away, this clip does the game far more justice than what we saw in the Microsoft conference. The beta will go multi-platform early next year, right before the March 8th release date.

anno-2024-01

So many Betas. Anno 2205 got a nice trailer, and is due out November 3rd with a beta coming later this year. I would imagine that would be sooner than later due to it being just five months away, but we shall see. A second trailer put the game in perspective quite well – as players have to built their way up to space. Oh yeah, that trailer is here:

jason-derulo-01

Aisha Tyler had fun in the crowd, and then spoke a bit about Just Dance 2016. There isn’t a lot to say here, but Ms. Tyler makes me interested. You can use your smart phone to play, and the game will hit on all consoles. Jason Derulo comes to the stage and sings for a bit and I think he needs a new mic. He is terrible live. Good god. That’s show business I guess. Just Dance Unlimited also was announced, which is a streaming version of Just Dance but with a subscription.

rainbow-six-bassett-01

Rainbow Six: Siege gets an awesome new teaser featuring Angela Bassett, who also took the stage directly after. Bassett plays the role of Six who leads the anti-terrorism unit. The rest of the talk is mainly banter, but this event is a lot more fun than EA by miles already. Terrorhunt was announced after the brief celebrity appearance, allowing players to disarm bombs and face threats as a team or solo. This game looks like a blast, no pun intended with the bombs and breaching – of course. The beta will be out September 21st.

trackmania-ubisoft-e3-01

Trackmania is coming to consoles! Well, I know that isn’t the most exciting news, but it is to the little following who have kept this customizable racer alive over the years. The game will feature 200 tracks, as well as a randomly generated map with infinite tracks.

There is also a trailer you should watch too:

assassins-creed-syndicate-01

Sorry Ubisoft, I just am tired of Assassin’s Creed. I have purchased countless titles from the franchise, but I just feel done. That being said, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate‘s new trailer was great – I just think the franchise is in need of a break. For those who are interested, this is the first modern Assassin’s Creed title, set in 1868 during the industrial era.

ghost-recon-wildlands-trailer-01

The final surprise of the event came with a new Ghost Recon: Wildlands, which was stunning in its current state. It has been years since the franchise took form, and now it seems that it is getting a genre reboot as an open world experience that features co-op. It definitely looks nice, and is sure to create a good amount of buzz for Ubisoft.

Ubisoft has had a shit year with games in general, and this was a delightful conference that helped boost morale with the fans. Even the dull titles seemed exciting, as Aisha did fantastic as host and we got a lot of great sequels coming soon. Sometimes your excitement is the show, and this was yet another entertaining event from Ubisoft.

Best of Show: South Park, Angela Bassett, and Ghost Recon rounded the show off well, but Aisha Tyler’s execution saved the show.

Worst of Show: Jason Derulo, Trials: I am a meme edition, I guess there was a lot of Tom Clancy?

Thanks for joining us and stay tuned for even more E3 2015 coverage!

Melee Focused ‘For Honor’ Announced by Ubisoft

for-honor-screenshot-001

While Ubisoft had a few things to show off that we already knew about, they had a few surprises as well. This includes a brand new I.P. that was revealed during their E3 2015 press conference called For Honor for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. For Honor is meant to be a fast-paced multiplayer title featuring the melee classes of Knights, Vikings, and Samurai. Each of these three classes will have unique skills and weaponry with each class having a chance to turn the tide of battle and help their faction win.

Players will be able to capture control points throughout the map and slaughter their enemies in a “groundbreaking” multiplayer mode that features the “Art of Battle” control system that lets players wield the weight of your weapon to feel the power and impact of every strike. Check out the announcement trailer as well as some multiplayer footage below.
