Siren Visual Announces the Complete Box-Set of Naoki Urasawa’s ‘Monster’

Siren Visual recently revealed their complete box-set of Naoki Urasawa’s Monster. The 74-episode anime series was adapted by Madhouse between 2004 and 2005 from the manga of the same name.

The 15-disc box-set will sell for $120 AUD and is available for pre-order exclusively from Siren Visual’s website here. Fans will also be able to purchase it directly from Siren Visual at conventions, but it will not be available from any other physical locations. It is scheduled for release on August 31, 2015. For fans who already own the five individual volumes of the series, the box itself is also available for pre-order for $15 AUD hereThe slipcase will be double-walled and shipped flat, but it will be easy to assemble.

Ponycan USA Announces the Upcoming Release of ‘Etotama’ Collectors’ Edition 1

Ponycan USA has announced the first collectors’ edition release for the 2015 anime series Etotama. It is set to be released in North America on October 10, 2015. The series premiered in April and only just finished airing in Japan a few weeks ago.

Episodes 1-4 will be featured on a DVD and Blu-ray disc with Japanese audio and English and Spanish subtitles. A CD containing the regular and karaoke versions of the opening theme song 「Retry☆ rendezvous」will be included. Physical extras will include a deluxe booklet and two collectible wall pin-up pictures illustrated by Akio Watanabe. The cover will be illustrated by Koike Satoshi. On-disc extras will include the textless opening animation and TV commercial collections.

The release has a suggested retail price of $89.98 USD, but it can be pre-ordered from Right Stuf here for $71.98 USD. Anyone who pre-orders this release before August 31, 2015 will receive a special illustration card set, which is shown in the image below.

Sentai Filmworks Reveals the Details of Their Limited Edition Release of ‘Beyond the Boundary’

Sentai Filmworks revealed the details of their upcoming limited edition release of Beyond the Boundary at their panel at Anime Expo 2015. The series will be released with dual audio and English subtitles.

The physical bonuses to come with the limited edition release include: an authenticity card, a 96-page booklet, a Mirai keychain with a reversible face, four double-sided art cards, a 13″ x 19″ double-sided poster, Mirai cosplay glasses, a die cut character sticker, a double-sided foil card, a lanyard, a metal pin set and a lenticular ruler. All 12 episodes and the OVA will be featured across three DVDs and two Blu-ray discs. The discs will be contained in two amaray cases, which will have reversible covers. Everything will be contained in a chipboard box.

The on-disc extras for all editions will include: “Daybreak” (episode 0), “Beyond the Boundary Idol Trail!”, “Who Judge You Even Though They Waver”, the Japanese promos and the textless opening and ending animation sequences.

A Lull in the Sea’s Standard Editions Now Available in North America

If you wished to pick up A Lull in the Sea‘s (Nagi no Asukara) release but didn’t want to pick up a premium edition or pick up only half of the series at a time then NIS America has quickly got your back. Today the company has released standard editions of both the first and second volume of A Lull in the Sea on their online store and through other online retailers.

Each volume contains thirteen episodes of the twenty six episode series and are presented only on DVD with only the original Japanese voice acting with English subtitles rather than the Premium Edition’s Blu-rays that include an English dub.

The Other Side of Secret Manga Acquired by Seven Seas

the-other-side-of-secret-volume-1-cover-artEarlier today Seven Seas Entertainment announced that they are continuing to try and slay wallets throughout North America by picking up another new manga license in the form of The Other Side of Secret (Secret no Mukougawa). This manga, written by Hideaki Yoshikawa, began running in Japan back in September and has since had three volumes published in Japan.

Currently Seven Seas is planning on releasing the first volume of The Other Side of Secret on June 7, 2016 and according to their description, the series is one that follows a boy traveling to an alternate world.

A boy named Yuto witnessed his sister disappear through a strange portal seven years prior to the start of the story and now that he has witnessed two new girls emerge from the same portal he quickly follows them back through the portal only to find himself transported to a strange and dangerous world. After making a terrible mistake that costs the lives of many people, Yuto must atone for what he did while also searching for his lost sister.

About the game:

1,000 years ago, Emperor Geardo of the Naga Empire sent an army of machine soldiers to invade the sky kingdom of Garuda. Thanks to the efforts of Princess Cecilia and Rodea, a machine soldier who promised to protect Garuda, Emperor Geardo’s assault was thwarted.

In present day, a spirited inventor named Ion discovers an abandoned robot that has fallen into disrepair in the heart of a scorching desert. Dead Island 2’s Developer Yager Pulled by Deep Silver

Most of the news involving Dead Island 2 lately has been pretty bad, what with the game being pushed back to sometime in 2016 after not showing anything involving the title for seven months, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Deep Silver has announced that they have let go of Dead Island 2‘s developer Yager, a company previously known for their work on Spec-Ops: The Line.

Currently it is unknown what developer will be stepping in to work on what is left of Dead Island 2 but in a statement Deep Silver did release the following statement:

“With Dead Island 2, Deep Silver has always been dedicated to delivering the sequel that Dead Island fans deserve. After careful consideration, today we announce the decision to part ways with development partner YAGER. We will continue working towards bringing our vision of Dead Island 2 to life, and we will share further information at a later stage.”

Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel adds Arcana Heart’s Heart Aino

Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel, which has already been confirmed for Western release by XSEED Games, already features plenty of familiar faces from various anime, manga, visual novel, and light novels and it will also include a different character from one of Examu’s other fighting games by the time that it is released in Japan on December 10th for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

It has been revealed in this week’s issue of Famitsu that at launch all copies of Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel will come with a product code that will unlock Arcana Heart 3‘s main character Heart Aino as well as the previously announced Homura from Senran Kagura.

Batman: Arkham Knight Story Driven Add-On – Batgirl: A Matter of Family – Available Beginning Today

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced that the first story driven add-on for Batman™: Arkham Knight – Batgirl: A Matter of Family will be available beginning today for fans who have purchased the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, and are connected to the Internet.  The content can also be purchased separately beginning July 22 for $10.45 MSRP on the PlayStation®Network and Xbox LIVE online entertainment network from Microsoft.

 

Set prior to the events of Batman™: Arkham Asylum, Batgirl: A Matter of Family will allow players to take on the role of Batgirl for the first time in the Batman: Arkham franchise. When The Joker kidnaps Commissioner Gordon and holds him hostage at the Seagate Amusement Park, Batgirl and Robin must fight against the odds to save him and avoid falling victim to The Joker’s sinister plan. Senran Kagura: Estival Versus’ Ayame Screenshots and Details Released

Kenichiro Takaki, the well known producer of the Senran Kagura series, has been releasing information concerning the first character from Senran Kagura: New Wave G Burst to appear in one of the core games. Her name is Ayame and will be released as a downloadable character for Senran Kagura: Estival Versus for 600 Yen later this month.

You may recognize Ayame as the shop owner that appears in every version of Senran Kagura released so far. Ayame will not have a special story mode though she is described as an easy to use character with an orthodox fighting style who appears to use a mix of attacks taken from Katsuragi as well as her own moves. Currently Senran Kagura: Estival Versus is set to be released in the West by XSEED sometime this winter.
