Sentai Filmworks Reveals the ‘Utawarerumono’ OVA English Dub Cast

Sentai Filmworks has revealed the English dub cast for their upcoming home video release of the Utawarerumono OVAs. Kyle Colby Jones is directing the English dub. The cast is as follows (character/actor, presented in alphabetical order):

  • Touka – Genevieve Simmons
  • Urutori – Kelly Manison

Four ‘Military Guys’ will also be voiced by Rob Mungle, David Wald, Kyle Colby Jones and Ricardo Contreras. Sentai Filmworks provided a description of the upcoming release: “Hakuoro, Eluluu, and the others return in this collection of three side stories. First, Hakuoro and the residents of Tuskuru find an abandoned baby. In the second story, Eluluu is kidnapped to make a medicine that makes people look younger. The OVA concludes around Touka’s adventures as she tries to complete an order from Hakuoro. Return to the mysterious world of Utawarerumono in this special three-part OVA!”

The OVAs will be available on DVD and Blu-ray in North America from March 29, 2016. The textless opening and ending animations and picture dramas will be included as on-disc extras.

Sentai Filmworks Licenses ‘Hakuoki ~ Demon of the Floating Blossom: Wild Dance of Kyoto’

Sentai Filmworks has just announced their acquisition of the North American distribution rights to the film Hakuoki ~ Demon of the Floating Blossom: Wild Dance of Kyoto. The film is based on the popular game and anime series Hakuoki. Sentai Filmworks licensed other Hakuoki anime in 2012. They provided a synopsis of the film: “Chizuru Yukimura heads to Kyoto in search of her father, a doctor who has disappeared. However, she soon discovers that the city hides deadly creatures within its shadows, and that a fearsome group of swordsmen, the famed Shinsengumi, help maintain a tenuous peace. As both parties attempt to find the missing doctor, Chizuru and the men of the Shinsengumi will discover things about themselves that they would rather have left a mystery.”

Osamu Yamasaki (Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East) directed and scripted the theatrical feature. Animation direction and character design was handled by Atsuko Nakajima (Get Backers, Ranma ½), and Yone Kazuki (Kamigami no Asobi, Nobunaga the Fool) provided the original character designs. The film will be available on home video soon.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Brings Back Pole Dancing, Screenshot Released

It has been revealed in this week’s issue of Famitsu that a popular but generally very hard to obtain feature will be making its return in Koei Tecmo Dead or Alive Xtreme 3. The title will feature pole dancing on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game and although it has not yet been stated how pole dancing will be unlocked, an early screenshot shows Ayane while the scan also gives us a look at the in-game casino.

You can check out the video below and as for the game itself, Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan on March 24th and the Asian release, featuring English subtitles, can be pre-ordered through Play-Asia.

Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator Adds Raven as Playable Character

This week’s issue of Famitsu has revealed that Raven will be one of the new playable characters added into Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator when it is released in Japan on May 27th, North America on June 7th, and in Europe on June 10th for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

Few details are currently known about Raven in this title but he is the sixth fighter to be added to this new version of the game. You can check out the scan above for a brief look at the character and if you check out the top right, it appears that the outline of the yet to be fully revealed Dizzy is shown.

Fallout 4’s First Three Pieces of DLC Detailed, Season Pass Price Increases March 1

Many people have been waiting and it seems that the time for Fallout 4 DLC news is upon us. Bethesda has announced that they have three pieces of DLC prepared for release over the next three months and they have given us details, prices, and release windows for all three.

They happen to be called Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, and Far Harbor with the latter being a full expansion to the title while the other two are more in the way of additional features. To go along with this news Bethesda revealed that since they are actually planning on adding more DLC than before, that the previous $30 season pass will be increased to $50 in order to cover all of the content they plan on releasing throughout the year.

Those who already purchased the season pass will not need to buy it a second time nor will the price change happen instantly. Instead the price will be increased on March 1st, giving those who want to pick it up at a cheaper price nearly two weeks to have a chance to do so.

Samurai Warriors 4: Empires’ Castle Customization and Character Substitution Detailed

Today Koei Tecmo shared some new details about the ability to customize your castles and even character substitution for the main storyline in Samurai Warriors 4: Empires. This means that your own custom characters can be chosen to replace a specific historical character and they will take over their role in the storylines and battles from that point on. This customization allows for players to create leadership roles, adjust their move sets, their family crests, and even their character portrait.

The other feature is the aforementioned castle customization that allows players to decorate with unlockable wallpapers and banners that provide various bonuses such as increased income, supplies, and more. The company also detailed how taking over territories that contain special facilities such as mines, trading posts, and even hot springs can help give their empire an edge over other armies in Japan. Marvelous has announced that they plan on releasing Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel, the anime styled cross-over fighter, in Europe and Australia on April 7th. The title will be released both at retail and digitally for the PlayStation 4 and as a digital download for the PlayStation 3.

Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel features numerous characters from Nitroplus works as well as a couple of guest characters that will be available for download shortly after the game’s release. Street Fighter V Launches with new Trailer, Screenshots, and Server Issues

Today Capcom has released Street Fighter V to the masses on the PlayStation 4 and PC and with this release comes a whole slew of new screenshots as well as a launch trailer showing off the sixteen character roster and many of the various gameplay elements that have been added into this game.

Of course with any launch, Street Fighter V‘s online servers have been smashed to pieces and have had numerous issues over the course of the day and while Capcom is indeed working on fixing the issues, this does mean that online matchmaking may be an issue for a bit.

New TV Commercial Released for Tom Clancy’s The Division

Ahead of this weekend’s open beta, Ubisoft has released a new TV commercial for Tom Clancy’s The Division. Entitled “Yesterday,” the new cinematic shows off New York City and the old lives of The Division members before the virus struck. The trailer features several scenes of two major enemy factions in the game, the escaped convicts of Rikers and the flamethrower toting Cleaners.

Ubisoft Massive will be holding an open beta this weekend. Xbox One gamers will get an extra 24 hours to enjoy the beta, with things starting on February 18th and wrapping up on the 21st. PlayStation 4 and PC owners will be able to participate from February 19-21. The game files clocks in at over 20 gigs on the PC, so gamers can begin pre-loading the open beta on all platforms now.
