dead-rising-4-screenshot- (4)

After leaking all over the place, Microsoft and Capcom Vancouver officially announced that Dead Rising 4 is indeed on the way. The game features the return of Frank West and, as you can tell from the sound of the Christmas music that the video is set to, it is set during the holiday season in Willamette.

Plenty of new weapons and the ability to travel outside the mall are shown off in the minute and a half long trailer. Dead Rising 4 will be released on the Xbox One and PC sometime during the holiday season and you can check out the announcement trailer as well as a summary for the game from Mirosoft below:

Frank is back in Willamette, Colorado, 16 years after the events of the original Dead Rising. A mysterious outbreak has overrun the Willamette Memorial Megaplex Mall and surrounding town with deadly predators… and Frank soon realizes that what’s dead doesn’t always stay that way.

As Frank seeks to uncover the truth behind the outbreak, he faces new undead enemies, including the Fresh – newly zombified victims that will turn in front of his eyes, and exhibit superior speed and ferocity. He also has to tangle with the Evo – zombies with superior strength and mobility that mimic the behavior of predatory hunting animals.

Additionally, several fan-favorite Dead Rising features return, including the ability to combine hundreds of weapons and vehicles to combat the horde – ranging from the practical, to the practically insane. Frank also gets access to all-new EXO Suits, giving him super-strength and incredible firepower, as well as the ability to rip down objects in the world to use as weapons. From giant pipes to parking meters, the world is filled implements of mass zombie destruction.

We’re also bringing fans a new approach to multiplayer, allowing you to play together with four friends to complete missions and conquer the zombie-infested Willamette Memorial Megaplex. Or you can use quick match to join a game in progress with players around the world.

THE SUN RISES ON EARTH’S DAWN

THE SUN RISES ON EARTH’S DAWN

Deliver Civilization From Darkness This Autumn

Los Angeles, CA – June 13, 2016 – Video game publisher Rising Star Games today confirmed that it will bring Earth’s Dawn to PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, PC and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, this fall. Developed by OneorEight and previously released in Japan under the name Earth Wars, Earth’s Dawn fuses frenetic side-scrolling action mechanics with RPG elements and a hard-edged manga aesthetic to deliver a deep and unique gameplay experience.

View the trailer HERE: www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_6c4bK3zc8

vlcsnap-2016-06-09-14h32m46s164.png

From the outset, Earth’s Dawn gives gamers the freedom to enjoy the game their way: from creating their own character, customization of skill trees to augment abilities best suited to play style, and weapon and equipment crafting, all alongside a unique narrative-driven branching mission system.

After decades of peace, the Earth was decimated by an invasion from an alien race known to humans as E.B.E. The E.B.E. moved across the planet, consuming anything in their path and proved impervious to existing weapons. Ahead of the impending annihilation a breakthrough was made – the E.B.E. was susceptible to damage by weaponry designed using its very own technology. The power to fight back was now in the hands of an elite fighting force.

Combat in Earth’s Dawn offers a huge amount of depth with a layered system that will appeal to both light and more hardened players. Basic attacks can easily be strung together to pull off combos, while tying these to the analogue stick will instigate launchers, aerials, and sliding attacks. Timing a dash during a combo will extend its length and finisher moves will dispatch enemies with flair. Players are evaluated after battles and ranked according to expertise and skill, and may then use the points awarded to enhance and level up their hero.

Join the fight for Earth’s survival this autumn, when Earth’s Dawn launches digitally on PlayStation®4 system, and Xbox One, and as a physical boxed version on PlayStation®4, with a PC version coming soon after.
