Xbox One S to Launch in Australia on August 2

Microsoft has announced that the Xbox One S will be coming to Australia on August 2nd. The 2TB Launch Edition features a slimmed down design and a built in power supply. Most importantly, the console will support 4K Ultra HD with High Dynamic Range. Some minor quality of life changes have also been added to the front of the console, such as an IR blaster, and re-positioned USB 3.0 port and controller sync button.

The Xbox Wireless Controller has also received some upgrades. The body of the controller is now textured and Bluetooth support has been added. The controller is backwards compatible with both the old Xbox One and Windows 10. It will be priced at $89.95 AUD.

The 2TB Launch Edition Xbox One S package will be priced at $549. Gears of Wars fans who are willing to hold out until October 7th will be rewarded with a very awesome Gears of War 4 branded bundle and two custom controllers with designed inspired by Crimson Omen and JD Fenix. CHRIS PINE AND CAST TO BE JOINED BY CHRIS HEMSWORTH, WHO RETURNS TO THE BLOCKBUSTER FRANCHISE AS GEORGE KIRK

HOLLYWOOD, CA (July 18, 2016) – Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Bad Robot today announced that the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise will return to the big screen for another voyage.

In the next installment of the epic space adventure, Chris Pine’s Captain Kirk will cross paths with a man he never had a chance to meet, but whose legacy has haunted him since the day he was born: his father.

Chris Hemsworth, who appeared in 2009’s “STAR TREK,” will return to the space saga as George Kirk to star alongside Pine.

The remaining cast is expected to return.

J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay will write the screenplay. J.J. Abrams and Lindsey Weber will produce through Bad Robot Productions. David Ellison and Dana Goldberg of Skydance will executive produce.

“STAR TREK,” the first film in the rebooted franchise based on “Star Trek,” created by Gene Roddenberry, earned more than $380 million worldwide in 2009. The second installment, “STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS,” earned more than $460 million worldwide when it opened in May 2013.

The series’ third film, “STAR TREK BEYOND,” is directed by Justin Lin (“FAST & FURIOUS” franchise) and opens in theaters on July 22, 2016.

Hemsworth is currently starring in “GHOSTBUSTERS” alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kristin Wiig and Kate McKinnon, and filming “THOR: RAGNAROK” and “AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR – Part 1” back to back. He is repped by CAA and ROAR.

Red Rope: Don’t Fall Behind to Launch on July 21st

Indie Gala and Yonder will be releasing their co-op game Red Rope: Don’t Fall Behind on July 21st. The game is an allegorical adventure about the trials and tribulations of relationships. The two protagonists are bound together by a rope that serves as their only weapon against the enemies in the labyrinth but also a restriction that forces them to stay close together.

The game features 100 hand made levels filled with symbolism. Players can take control of the couple on their own or grab a friend to play Red Rope: Don’t Fall Behind the way it was meant to be played. Yonder estimates the game will take about 10 hours to complete.

Red Rope: Don’t Fall Behind will launch on Steam for $7.99 USD. The game will run on Linux, Mac, and Windows.

Second ‘Adventure Pass’ Episode Downloads July 26th

Today we can announce the release date and a special guest star for the seventh episode in Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series.

The second episode in the ‘Adventure Pass’ add-on series, Episode 7: ‘Access Denied’ will be available digitally worldwide starting Tuesday July 26th on PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, on the PlayStation®Network for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, on the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One® and Xbox 360®, for compatible iOS devices via the App Store, and for compatible Android-based devices via Google Play and the Amazon Appstore. The episode will also be coming to the Windows Store.

This episode may be purchased digitally as part of the Adventure Pass for $14.99 USD or equivalent, which includes access to Episodes 6, 7, and 8 as they release. The episode will also be available individually for $4.99 USD or equivalent. Players need to own at least Episode 1 in the series, or the season pass disc, in order to purchase Episodes 6, 7, and 8.

In Episode 7: ‘Access Denied’, continuing their portal journey in search of home, Jesse and crew land in a world entirely controlled by PAMA – a sinister “thinking machine” determined to command everyone and everything in pursuit of optimal usefulness and efficiency. Forced on the run to avoid capture and assimilation, you’ll need to work with a new ally to defeat the corrupted computer and free the population it has enslaved.

Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series – Episode 7: ‘Access Denied’ is rated ‘E10+’ (Everyone 10+) for Violent References and Mild Language by the ESRB. Future content in the season is yet to be rated by the ESRB. The series is published by Telltale Games in partnership with Mojang.
