Forza Horizon 3 Demo Lands on Xbox One, Soundtrack Revealed

forza-horizon-3-screenshot-01 Forza Horizon 3 launches globally on September 27th (23rd for those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition) but Xbox One users can test drive it today as a free demo has been released on the console. The demo gives access to a portion of the full game’s map and gives a sort of guided tour of all the games best features. Once you’ve completed all the events in the demo you’ll be able to hop into an online free roam seassion with your Forza friends to explore the rest of the demo’s map in a co-op session.

forza-horizon-3-screenshot-02The vehicles in the Forza Horizon 3 include one of the game’s cover cars, the Lamborghini Centenario, a couple of dune buggys, a trophy truck and your choice from cars such as the BMW M4 Coupe, the Ford Shelby GT350R and 2014 HSV Limited Edition GEN-F GTS Maloo. The full game will feature over 350 cars for you to collect, customise and race. Here’s the most updated revealed car list if your interested.

Hopefully you’ve kept reading to this point as a lot of details regarding the games soundtrack were also released. Forza Horizon 3 will feature close to 150 songs across eight different radio stations with returning favourite stations like Pulse and Base Arena to new stations that feature new and class hits from genres such as hip hop, indie rock, punk/metal and classical.

You can greatly expand that offering if you’re a subscriber to Microsoft’s Groove Music streaming service. Like most streaming services this gives you access to millions of songs and there is a 14 day no obligation free trial new members can take advantage of if they want to check out that service. A full list of radio stations and tracks included in the game is below.

Pokemon Generations Mini Series Announced

pokemon-generations-poster-01

The official Pokemon YouTube channel today announced a brand new 18 episode mini-series called Pokemon Generations. This series will revisit each generation of the main Pokemon series from Blue & Red through to X & Y/Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. Each episode is said to last from 3 to 5 minutes and will feature some new perspectives on the series most famous moments as you can see from the trailer below.

The first two episodes of Pokemon Generations will launch in just a couple of days on September 16th, presumably starting with the beginning of Red’s journey. A new episode will be released on the YouTube channel every week from then on up until December 23rd. With Zygarde Complete Forme shown in the trailer it is possible Generations will feature some content from the upcoming 7th generation games Pokemon Sun & Moon for the 3DS.

pokemon-generations-screenshot-01

This new series is not to be confused with Pokemon Origins, which was a four part anime series of 20 minute episodes focused on the first generation games with new mechanics such as Mega Evolution thrown into the mix. Pokemon Generations does seem to take a lot of inspiration from Pokemon Origins though, as opposed to the normal Pokemon Anime that features Ash Ketchum. Episode 1 of that series was recently released on the official YouTube channel with the whole series watchable on Pokemon TV.

NieR: Automata Launching in Japan in February 2017

NieR-Automata-screenshot-(40)

Square Enix has announced during the 2016 PlayStation Press Conference in Japan that they are planning on releasing their upcoming title NieR: Automata in Japan on February 23, 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and PC.

To accompany this announcement the company has released a new minute and ten second long video for the game but don’t expect to glean a whole lot from it as it seems that it is either meant to be more of a teaser trailer for things to come later in the week or just intentionally vague, which is something I wouldn’t put past the series and Taro Yoko’s style of messing with the heads of fans.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Releasing Worldwide January 2017

kingdom-hearts-2-8-screenshot-038

Square Enix has announced that they are planning on getting Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue released worldwide in January 2017 though that doesn’t mean that the title will be released on the same day. Instead the company is planning on having the title launch in Japan on January 12, 2017 and in Western countries nearly two weeks later on January 24th.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will feature the completely new episode Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage, which is previewed a bit in the latest trailer below, in addition to a remaster of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, and Kingdom Hearts Chi: Back Cover.

Nioh to Launch Worldwide on February 9

Nioh-screenshot-(58)

Koei Tecmo announced during the 2016 PlayStation Press Conference in Japan that Nioh will be released worldwide on Febraury 9th for the PlayStation 4 and that all first print copies of the game will include a download code that will unlock a full set of the Sanada Yukimura armor.

The company also announced that a “Deluxe Edition” of Nioh will be sold digitally in Japan and will contain both the officially announced season pass (likely something that will be offered in the West as well), which will contain three additional missions that will offer story, weapons, youkai, bosses, and equipment over time as well as a PlayStation Network avatar set.
