NIS America has announced that they are planning on releasing the Kadokawa Games developed strategy RPG God Wars: Future Past in North America and Europe sometime in early 2017. This PlayStation 4 and PS Vita title tells of the untold history of Japan through folklore combined with tactical combat as players experience traditional stories through the eyes of three warring nations.

With fourteen playable characters, more than thirty different classes, over four hundred skills to use, and 250 pieces of equipment to outfit your party, the combinations are quite vast. For now the company has released set of screenshots for the game as well as an introduction to the story and you can check all that out below.

A long time ago, there was a beautiful land made up of three nations: Fuji, Izumo, and Hyuga. This land was called Mizuho. The people of Mizuho disliked conflict, honored their ancestral spirits, and lived in harmony with nature. However, over time, they began cultivating crops, forging and using metal, fighting wars, destroying nature, and neglecting to honor their ancestral spirits.

In the meantime, various locations in Mizuho suffered from natural disasters like flooding, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions. In order to stop a destructive eruption, the Queen of Mizuho, Tsukuyomi, sacrificed her beloved daughter Sakuya to the mountain, confined her other daughter Kaguya within a bamboo seal in case of future disasters, and then disappeared. 13 years later, Princess Kaguya has grown into a beautiful woman and her childhood friend, Kintaro, saves her during a riot. She rises against her “fate to be a sacrifice,” and in order to follow her own path, they both escape from Fuji and journey across Mizuho to discover the truth behind Tsukuyomi’s decision.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 released to mostly praise near the beginning of the year and almost exactly a year later the game will be receiving a DLC expansion called Road to Boruto, focusing on the role of Naruto’s son and the story that takes place after the conclusion of the series.

For those who didn’t preorder the game and thus missed out on being able to play as Boruto and Sarada this expansion will grant access to those characters who seem to have upgraded movesets based on the trailer. The official Facebook page has confirmed there will be more additions to the roster than just those two. The battle between Sasuke and Kinshiki will be a part of the new story and there will also be brand new areas in the Hidden Leaf Village to explore!

Syndrome Bringing Old-School Horror Back to PC on October 6th

syndrome-screenshot-01

Camel 101 and BIGMOON Entertainment announced that Syndrome will be coming to PC on October 6th. The old school horror game is set on a spaceship whose crew is either insane or dead. The player isn’t in a much better position, as they have no memories. Players will need to discover the events that occurred on the ship while they try to stay alive.

Ammunition and equipment are in scarce supply, forcing gamers to make the difficult decision of when to run and when to fight. Enemies hit hard and aren’t afraid to investigate suspicious noises or disturbances. The claustrophobic setting on the space ship makes enemies all the more terrifying.

Syndrome will run on Linux, Mac, and Windows. A console release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will follow in early 2017.
