Big Viking Games and Valiant Entertainment Form First Major Content Partnership for Next Generation HTML5 Messenger Gaming Platforms

TORONTO and LONDON, ON – (December 13, 2016) – Big Viking Games, a leader in HTML5 mobile instant games, and Valiant Entertainment, the award-winning comic book publisher with a library of more than 2,000 characters, including X-O Manowar, Bloodshot, Harbinger, Shadowman, Archer & Armstrong and more, today announced a five-year mobile content partnership that will convert Valiant’s massive library of characters and stories into mobile instant gaming experiences focused on new gaming platforms such as the recently launched Facebook Messenger.

Starting today, Valiant and Big Viking will combine Valiant’s best-selling collection of superheroes and their associated storylines with Big Viking’s industry leading HTML5 development and publishing ability to deliver the Valiant Universe to fans and new players alike through a completely new medium. The companies intend to release numerous HTML5 titles with a focus on messengers and social networks as distribution.

In addition to today’s announcement, Big Viking recently revealed a $21.75 million funding round to continue expansion of their HTML5 mobile instant gaming division and the creation of a $10 million publishing fund to develop and distribute third-party content for messengers in HTML5. Additionally, last year Valiant announced a five-film deal with Sony Pictures to bring both Bloodshot and Harbinger franchises to life on the big screen.

Announced today Yooka-Laylee will launch on April 11th 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms, Yooka-Laylee is now available to pre-order at £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99 for non-Kickstarter backers in both digital and physical formats* from all participating stores worldwide. Kickstarter backers will soon have the option to upgrade to a physical version if they choose. Beginning today at 6:00 p.m. GMT, Trainers around the world will have the opportunity to add Togepi, Pichu and select Pokémon originally discovered in thePokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games to their Pokémon GO Pokédex. Trainers have the chance to find these Pokémon by visiting and spinning PokéStops to acquire Eggs. These Eggs might hatch a Togepi, Pichu or select other Pokémon. Generation 2 Pokemon Begin Appearing in Pokemon GO

The Pokemon GO craze has definitely died off after a couple months of phenomenal success on mobile devices, but those who remain loyal to the game will be pleased to know Pokemon from the Gold, Silver and Crystal era of games are beginning to make their appearance. Starting today fans will be treated to a new title screen, the ability to catch a special festive Pikachu sporting a Santa hat and hatch Togepi, Pichu and a select few other Pokemon (most likely other baby Pokemon such as Magby, Elekid and Smoochum) from 5km eggs.

Igglybuff has been confirmed to be one of the other Pokemon. Some of your old 5km eggs may transform into the new yellow eggs which house the new Johto Pokemon so make sure to check out you’re egg collection if you still play or want to get back into the game. This update probably wasn’t the large dump of new Pokemon players were expecting but at least it’s something to try and spur new interest in the property. Major improvements such as the new nearby Pokemon tracking method and the ability to mass transfer Pokemon were added in a recent update so Niantic is far from done with Pokemon GO.

If you want a more hardcore Pokemon experience, Pokemon Sun & Moon have been enjoying tremendous success, becoming the fastest selling 3DS games in multiple regions across the world.

Season Finale Available Starting Tuesday Dec 13th; Episode One Currently Free on Steam

Today we would like to share the season finale launch trailer for BATMAN – The Telltale Series Episode 5: ‘City of Light’.

The final of five episodes in the season, Episode 5: ‘City of Light’ will be available digitally worldwide starting Tuesday December 13th on PC from the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, on the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One® and Xbox 360, and on the PlayStation®Network for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The episode will be available the same day for compatible iOS devices via the App Store, and for compatible Android-based devices via Google Play.

In Episode 5, the leader of the Children of Arkham prepares to execute the final act of a plan to destroy the Wayne family name, and the people closest to you are in their path of vengeance. Can Batman’s ultimate secret be kept – his very identity – when it is causing chaos and death in Gotham? The fate of the Wayne family and of the city itself rests on your choices. What will you do? How far will you go? Which mask will you wear?

Special note for the finale: Players will begin this episode in very different places depending on where they chose to go in the third act of Episode 4.

Additionally, Episode 1: ‘Realm of Shadows’ is now FREE to download for PC via Steam.

The series is also available to purchase at retailers in North America and Europe as a special Season Pass Disc, which includes the first of five episodes in the season, and grants access to the subsequent four episodes as they become available for download via online updates.

Rendered to look like a living, breathing comic book, Telltale’s vision of Batman features an award-winning cast of talent, including Troy Baker in the role of Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant James Gordon, Richard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone, Jason Spisak as Oswald Cobblepot, Dave Fennoy as Lucius Fox, Anthony Ingruber as John Doe, and Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle.

BATMAN – The Telltale Series Episode 5: City of Light is rated M (Mature) for Violence, Blood and Gore, and Language by the ESRB. The series is published by Telltale Games in partnership with Warner Bros.
