VR INVADERS NOW AVAILABLE ON STEAM VR

Dive Into My.com’s New Story Driven VR Shooter

Amsterdam, The Netherlands – December 15, 2016 – Global publisher My.com is proud to announce that their first virtual reality PC game, VR Invaders, is now available on Steam VR. Follow the story of Thomas Hall in this visceral shooter experience in the year 2046. In this future timeline, some people spend almost all of their life logged into the virtual reality programs, to the delight of corporations. However, not everyone stays logged in voluntarily. Sometimes a VR user can’t disconnect because of a virus. To protect their profits and extract the “Stuck,” corporations have hired freelance hackers called Divers to enter the client’s neural session and reboot it. Thomas Hall is one of them, and he is always up for the task.

“My.com has created virtual worlds for players for years now and it is finally time to let them truly dive in,” said Volker Boenigk, Producer at My.com. “VR Invaders is our first entry into this exciting market. Gamers are embracing VR rapidly and in the story of our game, we explore what might lie ahead for humanity once we all do!”

VR Invaders is developed by My.com’s in-house studio and delivers a story driven dive into Virtual Reality. Built on Unreal engine 4, VR Invaders puts the player in the role of a Diver. They are special members of a virtual reality rescue force that plunges into VR when dreams turn into nightmares. During a routine operation to rescue a “stuck” user, the player will have to fight back unexpected hordes of droids created by a vicious virus program. Equipped with a blaster that has multiple firing modes and a time-bending energy shield, players can rush through a variety of levels with challenging bosses at the end of each level. Players will be able to use power ups to slow time or even equip dual blasters, which will significantly help in critical situations that are created by the virus program.

KOEI TECMO AMERICA ANNOUNCES NEXT INSTALLMENT IN POPULAR DEMON-HUNTING RPG SERIES – TOUKIDEN 2

Embark on a Brand New Open World Adventure and Join the Battle Against Hordes of Oni

Burlingame, Calif. — December 15, 2016 — KOEI TECMO America is thrilled to confirm today that Toukiden 2, the sequel to the popular demon-hunting RPG Toukiden, will release across the Americas in Spring 2017. With more information and details to be disclosed in early 2017, KOEI TECMO America today released a selection of screenshots introducing the game’s revamped battlefields alongside an original Toukiden anime short film by Studio 4°C. Focusing on events that take place prior to the game’s narrative, the anime short exemplifies the rich lore of the Toukiden series and highlights some of the new characters who join players on their journey and whose fates play a key role in the Toukiden 2 storyline!

The Toukiden series tells the tale of humanity’s last stand for survival against demonic, soul-devouring Oni. As revealed in Toukiden: The Age of Demons, humanity was protected for centuries by a secret clan of warriors, the Slayers, trained to dispose of the supernatural threat before it could consume the world. An event known as the Awakening caused rifts to appear in space and time – resurfacing places that had long disappeared from the world and unleashing swarms of Oni that relentlessly hunted humans.

Set shortly after the events detailed in Toukiden: Kiwami, Toukiden 2 introduces an all-new, captivating narrative featuring a compelling cast of companions and more devious demons to defeat. Players will step into the shoes of a Slayer tasked with saving humankind by carrying out special quests to reduce the monstrous hordes and liberate Oni-infested areas. Toukiden 2 boasts a vast and extensive open world full of danger and wonder, and takes the player deep into enemy territory. Slayers and Oni will battle it out in the Otherworld, a tormented battleground divided into six distinct Ages. Revisit the redesigned Ages of Yore, Grace, Honor, War, Peace and Chaos, each distinctively representing an era of Japanese history, and discover more about the Oni threat and your character’s unique role in its resolution!

Daymare 1998 Officially Unveiled as a 1990s Inspired Horror Game

0

You may have heard about a certain fan-made game that was shut down previously by the name of Resident Evil 2 Reborn, an unofficial remake of Resident Evil 2. Well that same team, Invader Studios as they are called, haven’t been at rest these past few years as they have instead created a brand new game.

Daymare 1998 as it is called, is described as being inspired by the terrifying experiences of true 1990’s survival horror games and has been crafted using Unreal Engine 4. To go along with this announcement the developers have released a trailer that you can check out below.

They have also provided a description of what to expect from the title and you can read that here: In the late 90s, the normally peaceful citizens of a small community in northwest America descend into sickening violence. With enemy designs by the legendary former Capcom designer, Satoshi Nakai, the physical and mental deformations that take place within the community are set to be both terrifying and shocking.

Atelier Sophie and Nights of Azure Announced for PC Release on February 7

Koei Tecmo has announced that the first titles from the developer Gust that will be available on PC through Steam are Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book and Nights of Azure. Both of these games are meant to be released on PC on February 7th and at the moment the company has not stated how much these previously PlayStation exclusives will cost when released for the new platform.

For those unfamiliar with these titles, the company has given out the following descriptions of the story. Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book follows the exploits of young novice Alchemist Sophie Neuenmuller, who discovers she is the owner of an enigmatic book imbued with a soul. This Mysterious Book seems to hold all the secrets to the art of Alchemy, even going on to become Sophie’s mentor. As Sophie experiments with Alchemy throughout the story she unravels the book’s forgotten memories and eventually sets out to uncover the strange tale of its origin.

Nights of Azure tells a tragic tale of two friends faced with impossible decisions that will test their loyalty to their quest – and to each other. In the kingdom of Ruswal, very few people leave their homes after nightfall, let alone have the strength and skill to take on the powerful, azure-blooded demons that plague the island. One of the best among these brave few is Arnice, a knight of great skill and power, who is assisted by her friend and priestess Lilysse in a quest to rid the land of these monsters. However, they soon find out that the solution to the island’s problems might not be as simple as defeating enemies in battle.

They do however have a set of new screenshots showing off both of these games running on PC and you can check those out below.

AFL Evolution Announced for PS4, Xbox One and PC

The first AFL game for next generation consoles has been announced, with AFL Evolution sporting a first half of 2017 release date. Not much information was give on the game but we know it will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC and is being created by Wicked Witch Software who have worked on the AFL franchise before with AFL Live and it’s sequel. Both games received mild critical reception but it’s important to understand that the game of footy is a hard one to translate into video game form.

AFL Evolution will strictly focus on the men’s side of the game and is putting a lot more effort into in game player recreation, with AFL players from all 18 AFL clubs (it is unclear if that includes all players) doing photo shoots, with 24 cameras used to simultaneously photograph the players in order to create highly detailed likenesses within the game.

Check out this link to the official AFL page for your chance to vote on who you think the cover star should be, although unless you’re voting for Bontempelli I wouldn’t bother as he already has it locked up.
