Additionally, Episode 1: ‘Realm of Shadows’ is now FREE to download for PC via Steam. Telltale has also released a performance patch for BATMAN – The Telltale Series on Steam, updating the game to support a wider range of PC configurations and address some of the concerns we heard when the game launched earlier this year. This patch contains significant performance improvements as well as adding numerous performance settings to allow users to customize the game for their systems.

In Episode 5, the leader of the Children of Arkham prepares to execute the final act of a plan to destroy the Wayne family name, and the people closest to you are in their path of vengeance. Can Batman’s ultimate secret be kept – his very identity – when it is causing chaos and death in Gotham? The fate of the Wayne family and of the city itself rests on your choices. What will you do? How far will you go? Which mask will you wear?

The series is also available to purchase at retailers in North America and Europe as a special Season Pass Disc, which includes the first of five episodes in the season, and grants access to the subsequent four episodes as they become available for download via online updates.

Rendered to look like a living, breathing comic book, Telltale’s vision of Batman features an award-winning cast of talent, including Troy Baker in the role of Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant James Gordon, Richard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone, Jason Spisak as Oswald Cobblepot, Dave Fennoy as Lucius Fox, Anthony Ingruber as John Doe, and Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle.

BATMAN – The Telltale Series Episode 5: City of Light is rated M (Mature) for Violence, Blood and Gore, and Language by the ESRB. The series is published by Telltale Games in partnership with Warner Bros.

Voodoo Impressions

voodoo-promo-shot-01

Brain in the Box’s open world survival game Voodoo is on Kickstarter right now looking to raise €30,000 to finish development on the game. Voodoo is set in a fictional version of the African Savannah, where giant Izimus wander the world. I had the chance to test on an early alpha build of the game to see what the game is all about.

The preview build is a little sparse right now. It contains two small oases to explore and the Izimu Atlas to defeat. The build also includes several weapons to try, though only the bow is needed to defeat Izimu. The pre-alpha build came with an axe, sword, spear, a one handed war club, and a two handed war club. The melee system is a mobile, but a bit slow. It appears that proper timing and strategic use of attack, dodge, and block will be the key to victory. The bow needs to be pulled drawn back and the projectile fires a bit on the slow side, so players will need to compensate for gravity and travel time when making their shots.

Fighting the Izimus is a pretty epic experience. Part of the fun is figuring out what the Izimu’s weak point is to open it up for damage. For Atlas, players need to shoot arrows into its right knee until it falls to the ground then shoot the same targets that make up Atlas’ ears. I tested the game on my own and it took quite some time to take down Atlas alone. It is pretty obvious that the game was designed to be played in groups. There is something terrifying and awe inspiring about fighting Izimus. It’s not hard to feel small and very vulnerable when it is so easy to be crushed underfoot.

The audio-visual experience is sounding and looking good so far. There isn’t too much in the music department right now, but the fight music really feeds into the epic experience when battling the Izimus. The art style is inspired by African art, giving the game a unique look.

Voodoo is currently on Kickstarter until January 1st. The game is set to launch in March 2017 for PC.

Every successful mission starts with a good briefing and the latest trailer for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands does just that. The new trailer quickly introduces players to Bolivia’s environment, including the social and physical landscape. The narrator makes it clear that the Ghosts have plenty of freedom on deciding how to approach their mission, but they are on their own for this one. No back up is coming.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands is an open world third person shooter. The Ghosts are dropped in Bolivia where they are tasked with taking out the Santa Blanca drug cartel and revealing their connection with the Bolivian government. Players will be able to bring up to three friends to explore the world and destroy the enemy by any means necessary. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands launches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on March 7, 2017.

Pokémon Sun AND Pokémon Moon BECOME FASTEST-SELLING GAMES IN NINTENDO HISTORY IN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

Nintendo 3DS games sold over 240,000 units in less than two weeks
7th December, 2016 – After becoming the most pre-ordered video games in Nintendo Australia’s history, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon – the latest games in the wildly popular Pokémon franchise – have now become the fastest-selling games that Nintendo Australia has ever launched. In less than two weeks, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems sold a combined total of 240,000 units in Australia and New Zealand. That’s a 67 percent increase over Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire – the previous record holders for Nintendo’s fastest-selling games – during the same period when these games launched in 2014

All Pokémon-related software has sold over 280 million units* worldwide since launching with the Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version games in 1996. The Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version games are both available for download in the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Other notable launches in the Pokémon series include Pokémon X and Pokémon Y (15.64 million games sold globally life-to-date), Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire (13.18 million games sold globally life-to-date).

In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Trainers-in-the-making head to the game’s new Alola Region – a series of tropical islands – to catch, battle and trade Pokémon. By discovering new Z-Moves, Pokémon can unleash powerful attacks in battle. The new Poké Ride feature allows certain Pokémon help people get to places they wouldn’t be able to reach by using human strength alone. In addition to three new partner Pokémon, players can catch a host of new Pokémon, as well as the unique regional variants of some familiar favourites.

However, she holds a strong interest in the Phantom Thieves and uses an unexpected method to contact them.
