Trainers Can Also Encounter a Pikachu Wearing a Festive Hat in the Game During the Holiday Season

LONDON – Monday, December 12, 2016 – The Pokémon Company Internationaland Niantic, Inc. announced today the first addition of more Pokémon to Pokémon GO. Beginning today at 6:00 p.m. GMT, Trainers around the world will have the opportunity to add Togepi, Pichu and select Pokémon originally discovered in thePokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games to their Pokémon GO Pokédex. Trainers have the chance to find these Pokémon by visiting and spinning PokéStops to acquire Eggs. These Eggs might hatch a Togepi, Pichu or select other Pokémon. Additionally, from December 12, 2016, 6:00 p.m. GMT to December 29, 2016, 7:00 p.m. GMT, Trainers can encounter special-edition Pikachu all over the world. These Pikachu will be wearing a festive hat to celebrate the holiday season, and they will appear in large quantities during this period.

“As we race toward 2017, we can’t help but feel grateful for the support and reaction the Pokémon GO community has given us, and we’re delighted to start rolling out select Pokémon for them to hatch,” said Kei Kawai, director of product at Niantic, Inc. “We’re also looking forward to celebrating the season with our community by introducing a Pikachu wearing a festive hat, providing Trainers the opportunity to get out and explore their neighborhoods with friends and family as they gather for the holidays.”

“Fans around the world fell in love with Pokémon GO for the opportunity to encounter Pokémon—beloved pop-culture and gaming icons for 20 years—in the real world. Matched with the innovative technology and development of the mobile game by Niantic, hundreds of millions of players have filled their Pokédexes with over 100 available Pokémon in Pokémon GO while exploring the world around them,” said J.C. Smith, senior director of consumer marketing at The Pokémon Company International. “The opportunity to hatch select Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region is just the beginning of how more Pokémon will be added to the game for Trainers to continue their Pokémon GO adventures.”

Trainers are invited to use the hashtag #PokemonGO on Twitter to share news about any new Pokémon they encounter. To keep up with the latest Pokémon GO news, including this rollout of more Pokémon and the appearance of the festive Pikachu, visit the official Niantic blog at PokemonGOlive.com.

Generation 2 Pokemon Begin Appearing in Pokemon GO

The Pokemon GO craze has definitely died off after a couple months of phenomenal success on mobile devices, but those who remain loyal to the game will be pleased to know Pokemon from the Gold, Silver and Crystal era of games are beginning to make their appearance. Starting today fans will be treated to a new title screen, the ability to catch a special festive Pikachu sporting a Santa hat and hatch Togepi, Pichu and a select few other Pokemon (most likely other baby Pokemon such as Magby, Elekid and Smoochum) from 5km eggs.

Igglybuff has been confirmed to be one of the other Pokemon. Some of your old 5km eggs may transform into the new yellow eggs which house the new Johto Pokemon so make sure to check out you’re egg collection if you still play or want to get back into the game. This update probably wasn’t the large dump of new Pokemon players were expecting but at least it’s something to try and spur new interest in the property. Major improvements such as the new nearby Pokemon tracking method and the ability to mass transfer Pokemon were added in a recent update so Niantic is far from done with Pokemon GO.

If you want a more hardcore Pokemon experience, Pokemon Sun & Moon have been enjoying tremendous success, becoming the fastest selling 3DS games in multiple regions across the world.

Gaijin Entertainment Promises to Reinvest Game Sales into the Development of Additional Content and Consoles Versions of Enlisted
Dec 12th, 2016Gaijin Entertainment, developer and publisher of War Thunder, announced  Enlisted, a new squad based multiplayer shooter for PC, developed by Darkflow Software studio. Dedicated to the most important large scale World War II battles, Enlisted will be a fan driven game.

Enlisted will initially offer two massive campaigns – Battle of Moscow and the Battle of Normandy. Each campaign in the game will represent multiple phases of a battle – which during the war lasted for weeks, sometimes months, as well as specific characters and weapons suitable for the historical event recreated in a campaign. It will also offer different game modes where players will be fighting not only by themselves but also together with a platoon of soldiers in massive battles. Built using Gaijin Entertainment’s proprietary Dagor Engine, Enlisted will feature large scale battles with a 100 combatants spread over a massive and richly detailed battlefield complete with destructible landscapes.

Enlisted is an ambitious undertaking, unlike any game we have ever created. It will be a first person shooter decided by the fans, for the fans. They will have direct input into what we create, including things like campaigns, game modes, even which platforms after PC we will support,” said Alexander Nagorny, producer, Darkflow Software.

Beginning today, players can purchase the first two campaigns (collectively or individually) as well as weapons packs and early access to the closed beta, which will launch in the second half of 2017. Exclusive collector’s weapons will cost from 6.99 to 11.99 USD, weapon+campaign pack will be from 20 to 25 USD depending on the rifle you choose. The biggest pack for 50 USD will include both campaigns, three weapons and will provide the owner with early access to the game.

Gaijin Entertainment will reinvest all proceeds from Enlisted  into developing additional maps, game modes and console versions. The plan is to start developing the African campaign once Enlisted generates $250K in sales. More campaigns and new gameplay features, both chosen by players through online voting, will go into development with each goal reached and at the $1m mark, consoles versions will go into development.

EPIC SHOWDOWN OF THE GODS HERALDS A “CATACLYSMIC CONCLUSION” TO RUNESCAPE’S ANNIVERSARY YEAR

EPIC SHOWDOWN OF THE GODS HERALDS A “CATACLYSMIC CONCLUSION” TO RUNESCAPE’S ANNIVERSARY YEAR

Sliske’s Endgame is the culmination of over three years of lore and quests, as players help decide the eventual claimant of the Stone of Jas and its supreme awesome power.

Monday 12th December 2016, Cambridge, UK –  The long-running battle of the gods is coming to an end in just one week’s time, as RuneScape launches ‘Sliske’s Endgame’. Bringing a three and half year questline1 to a dramatic conclusion, Sliske’s Endgame is a new grandmaster quest that also sets the scene for a major RuneScape storyline in 2017 and beyond.

Sliske’s Endgame sees RuneScape’s surviving deities battle to take control of the Stone of Jas, a source of incredible power in the game’s mythos. Featuring a sophisticated story with multiple endings, each determined by every individual player’s actions in the questline over recent years, Sliske’s Endgame will also be replayable in the coming weeks– but only the decisions made on the first play through will be taken as canon.

Watch the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTxpWvJwTLc&feature=youtu.be

“After more than three years, Sliske’s game between the gods is coming to a cataclysmic end, and players get to influence the decision of who gets to wield the incredible power of the Stone of Jas,” said Dave Osborne, lead designer, RuneScape. “This has been an awesome journey for the development team and players alike, which began way back with the battle between two of our gods – Zamorak and Saradomin – at the start of the game’s Sixth Age in July 2013. It’s apt that the conclusion to the questline coincides with the end of RuneScape’s busy year of 15th anniversary celebrations!”

Slike’s Endgame is an exciting finale to RuneScape’s 15th anniversary year, which has seen the release of multiple major updates. These include an overhaul of the game’s visual engine with the launch of NXT, the discovery of a whole new continent in the procedurally-generated Eastern Lands, the return of RuneScape’s creators – the Gower brothers – for a celebratory quest, and the release of the concluding part of the 12-year old epic Myreque storyline.
