Digital Sun, 11 bit studios and Merge Games announced Moonlighter is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 29th. The game is set to cost $19.99 USD at digital retailers. A physical standard edition and Signature Edition will be available soon. The Signature Edition will contain the game, a squishy jelly monster figure, and a double sided medallion.
Moonlighter is an action RPG with rogue-lite elements. The game is set in Rynoka, a commercial town built to provide much needed services to adventurers who visit the magical gates at the nearby archaeological site. Players play Will, a young shopkeeper Rynoka and part time adventurer dreaming of becoming a hero.
Players will need to keep their store stocked with goods by stepping into the gates themselves in search of equipment to sell. Every gate leads to a unique world that will require strategic use of the right weapons, abilities, and equipment.
Passtech Games (Space Run Galaxy) released their new action strategy game Masters of Anima today. The game stars Otto, an apprentice of Anima capable of summoning and controlling the magical Guardians of Anima. Otto is on the classic quest to rescue his beloved fiancee Ana from the evil Zahr and his golems.
Masters of Anima is inspired by the likes of Pikman and Overlord, with players capable of summoning and controlling up to 100 Guardians at once. The game features plenty of new powers and abilities for both Otto and the many types of guardians that inhabit Anima.
Masters of Anima is available now for PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One, and Windows via Steam. The game costs $19.99 US.
The official Chrono TriggerPC port was met with a wall of negative feedback on Steam after Square Enix opted to port the mobile version of the game, instead of the original SNES version. Fans quickly lashed out against the Steam port, quickly dropping the Steam reviews to Mostly Negative status within the first few days. While the reviews have improved out in the past month, Chrono Trigger fans have continued to criticize the controls designed for touchscreens, the graphical issues, and the poor UI.
Square Enix is now making good on their promise to address the complaints with the first of many patches. A new “Original” graphics mode is now available for the game that is closer to the game’s original SNES look. Additionally, the game’s font, dialogue boxes, and start up sequence have been replaced to better match the SNES version.
Future patches are in the works to address other issues, including improving the UI for controller and keyboard/mouse use and increasing the cut scene resolution.

Daryl Whitelaw, WFHS’s newest student, still has a lot to learn if he wants to survive and more importantly, make friends. Students keep disappearing. The mysterious new principal sits sealed away in his office. Classrooms are on lockdown and rumors fly about the return of the little thing that almost destroyed the world 40 years ago.
Saving the day might be a stretch for someone who thinks a mullet is a fashionable haircut, but Daryl and his poor fashion sense are the last hope for the students of WFHS. Granted he’s pretty useless on his own, but with a mysterious self-help book Daryl can mix, customize, and upgrade more than 45 powers to unleash on foes.
Unfortunately for Daryl, there’s no page advising against mouth-breathing. Luckily, he can complete side quests for his classmates to try and make up for his lack of cool. Climbing the ladder of teenage judgement sucks, but if Daryl manages to get somewhere he can unlock sweet new passive abilities and other rewards.

Black Desert Online becomes more Magical with the Addition of Fairies
Amsterdam, The Netherlands – 10th of April, 2018/ Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games have announced today that Black Desert Online players can soon enjoy the long-awaited fairy system which will go live tomorrow after this week’s maintenance.
Fairies are peaceful creatures that enjoy the flowers under the grace of Queen Theiah. One day, a golden rift broke open in the fairy world. Unable to resist its own curiosity, Laila bravely embarked on an adventure and tumbled into the world of Black Desert. Players can seek Laila fairies as a companion in their journey by completing a recurring quest. Each can learn different skills that benefit their characters and makes life in Black Desert Online more pleasurable.
To give more character and personality, Melissa Hutchison was chosen to cover Laila’s in-game voice. The talented voice actress is known amongst many gamers for her work on Telltale’s The Walking Dead series where she has voiced the main character, Clementine. Her skills can help in numerous ways, the most obvious being a lantern function to help players navigate dark places. Other skills include auto purified water consumption which is ideal for desert survival, underwater breathing, instant resurrection without penalties, and last but not least, auto potion consumption when HP is low.
Adventurers can grow and level their Laila by feeding her equipment such as Rocaba and Grunil or the item Sweet Honey Wine, which is a craftable item in Black Desert Online. The level cap for the highest tier fairy is 40.
