F1 Trading Card Game includes collectible images of the drivers, tracks, teams and all the electrifying racing day action with specific updates from each and every race weekend. While the F1 race calendar will be the focus of most activity, ‘Head to Head’ racing and the in-app community will drive engagement in between races and during the off-season.

Collecting and trading are the heart of F1 Trading Card Game, with every card containing attributes to help build a winning deck and a scratch card area that reveal facts and trivia. Duplicates can be ‘fused’ to create ultra-rare cards that give an extra edge when racing. Much of the community action takes place in the ‘Pit Lane’ where fans can find friends to challenge and trade cards with.

Paul Mayze, Managing Director of VirtTrade said: “We’ve refined our digital collecting experience over the last few years, and we think F1 fans are going to love it. F1 are launching some great digital initiatives this year and it’s great to be a part of that.

Adam Crothers, Head of Digital New Business at Formula 1 said: “VirtTrade offers F1 a new and alternative take on presenting our mix of content as well as a new entry point for fans. We think their unique take on collectibles gamification will be a hit.

About The Guild 3
The Guild 3 is a fascinating trade and life simulation that takes place during the late Middle Ages. You can quite literally experience medieval Europe, step into the shoes of a single character or an entire dynasty, acquire businesses and properties, produce goods and trade them, involve yourself in politics and society, court women or men, love, hate, bribe, fight and live through good times as well as bad.
As The Guild 3 is still in development, some features are already part of the game and some are yet to come.

Features (existing)

  • AI System: The new AI system is learning from own its activities as well from the behavior from other players.
  • Huge Replay-Value: The AI as well as the different and unique scenario settings make every map look, feel and play differently.
  • Scenarios: The player can choose between 8 scenarios: Augsburg, Barony of Birmingham, Archbishopric of Magdeburg, The mighty City of London, Vienna and Presporok, Hanseatic city of Visby, Paris and Mazovia.

Features (planned)

  • Societies: In The Guild 3 the societies can be compared to very powerful social clubs. Some of them, like the freemasons or the craftmans’ guild, are publicly known, others, such as the thieves’ guild or the brotherhood of light, are kept secret.
  • Multiplayer with up to 16 Players via Internet and/or LAN: Custom multiplayer and connection to other The Guild 3 players, no matter where they bought the game.
  • Scenario Editor: Players will be able to create their own maps and create specific rules for them – change ranks and privileges, production chains or societies. These scenarios can be shared with the community.
  • More Scenarios: 4 new scenarios will make their way into The Guild 3: Kingdom of Bohemia, The Netherlands, Duchy of Burgundy and The Hanseatic League.

Handmade Aquatic Adventure ‘Harold Halibut’ Coming to PC and Consoles in 2019

Handmade Aquatic Adventure ‘Harold Halibut’ Coming to PC and Consoles in 2019

Curve Digital partners with Slow Bros. on narrative exploration game that merges analogue crafts with digital art

London, United Kingdom – June 19th, 2018 – Cologne-based developer Slow Bros. has partnered with publisher Curve Digital on its hand-crafted subterranean adventure Harold Halibut. Targeting a 2019 release on PC and consoles, Harold Halibut is a narrative exploration game that combines underwater atmosphere and self-reflective humour with a unique art style.

Comprised entirely of real world supplies and made in Unity, Harold Halibut aims to bridge analogue and digital art. Slow Bros. sculpts, paints, and glues together the models and puppets that make up the world of Harold Halibut, while a team of digital artists renders these objects into the virtual space.

Harold Halibut tells the tale of a clumsy lab-assistant and janitor who was born on a submerged spaceship that crash-landed on an alien planet made entirely of water. Never knowing what life was like on Earth, Harold spends much of his time daydreaming about what’s beyond the subterranean vessel in which he is bound. After spotting an unidentified swimming object, Harold becomes obsessed with uncovering the mystery behind this aquatic planet.

Harold Halibut started out as a dinner table conversation about the adventure games we played as children,” said Slow Bros. designer, writer, and composer Onat Hekimoglu. “We soon started building dollhouse sized sets and puppets in our bedrooms. The result works like a game but it looks like a stop motion film. Welded metal, carefully sewn textiles against tiny wooden floorboards, and clay faces the size of walnuts pull the player into Harold’s world.”

“We are beyond excited to be partnering with Slow Bros. on Harold Halibut,” said Simon Byron, Publishing Director at Curve Digital. “The sheer amount of work and intricate detail that Harold Halibut brings blew us away, and we can’t wait to show you all more.”

About Slow Bros.
Slow Bros. was founded in 2015 by long time friends Onat Hekimoglu, Ole Tillmann, Fabian Preuschoff and Daniel Beckmann. The studio member’s diverse backgrounds including video game production, filmmaking, carpentry, apparel, and illustration give them a unique skill set with various applications, from games, over VR-experiences to art installations. Currently the studio is producing their first full-length video game, Harold Halibut. Learn more at http://haroldhalibut.com

London, United Kingdom – June 19th, 2018 – BAFTA Young Game Designer winner, Dan Smith, and publisher, Ripstone Games, are proud to share the release date for The Spectrum Retreat for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The upcoming first-person narrative puzzler will come to PlayStation 4 from July 10th. The game will launch globally for Xbox One and PC on July 13th with Nintendo Switch following later this summer. In The Spectrum Retreat players must explore the pristine and uncanny hotel, The Penrose, solving a series of ingenious colour-coded puzzles, all the while uncovering the reasons behind their seemingly never-ending stay. To celebrate the news, Ripstone Games has produced an all-new launch trailer, showing never seen before footage. The Spectrum Retreat will launch for £9.99 / €12.99 / $12.99.*

Having won the BAFTA Young Game Designers Award (YGD) 2016 for the prototype when he was only 18 years old, Dan Smith has subsequently developed The Spectrum Retreat with the support of Ripstone, building an intriguing narrative around the intuitive first-person puzzle action. Putting players in the role of a guest at a peculiar, pristine hotel where nothing is as it seems, The Spectrum Retreat is a trippy, art deco-inspired sci-fi adventure, albeit grounded in the possibility of current technology.

“I can’t wait for people to finally play The Spectrum Retreat now that we’re only a few weeks away from launch,” said Dan Smith, Designer of The Spectrum Retreat. “The game has been a part of my life for the last five years and to get to this stage is hugely exciting. I’m really proud of the game, and working with Ripstone I’ve been able to create something that looks and plays great, with an intriguing story and new mechanics.”

“Announcing the release date today makes us realise how close we are to the culmination of such focused hard work,” said Matt Southern, Head of Development at Ripstone Games. “Dan’s puzzle design has got stronger as we’ve worked with him, and the game is now a must-play for fans of elegant first-person puzzle design. But remarkably it’s also a milestone in emotional, intelligent narrative adventure, especially for anyone interested in how new technologies might impact our lives very soon.”

The Spectrum Retreat takes place in the near future at The Penrose hotel, a peaceful yet unsettling refuge from the outside world. As a valued guest, your existence is embedded into the corridors and guest rooms of The Penrose. Through exploration of the striking art-deco hotel you will begin to uncover the mysteries of both The Penrose and the uncertainties surrounding your current stay. Your desire to unearth the truth is obstructed by an array of colour coded first-person puzzles, mind-bending physics challenges and the growing fear of exposing your true intentions.

’39 Days to Mars: Additional Victorian Adventures’ Free Content Update Arrives July 23rd for Windows, Mac and Linux

New puzzles coming soon for acclaimed co-op adventure game

June 19th, 2018 — Developer It’s Anecdotal is excited to announce a new and free content release for its PC puzzle-adventure game 39 Days to Mars is set to launch July 23rd on SteamHumble Store and itch.io!

Dubbed ‘Additional Victorian Adventures’ and free for all current owners of 39 Days to Mars, the update will contain a variety of new puzzles cleverly-devised for co-op play — join Sir Albert Wickes and The Right Honourable Clarence Baxter once again for another set of exciting 19th century adventures!

39 Days to Mars is a 1-2 player co-operative adventure game set in an alternate reality some 150 years in the past. You’re tasked with piloting the HMS Fearful — a masterpiece of unreliable engineering — on its maiden voyage to Mars. When the steam engine runs out of coal, the ship’s cat shreds the navigation chart, and the tea gets cold, it becomes clear that interstellar transportation isn’t a walk in the park. It will take the talents of two working together on a mix of puzzles and action sequences to get to Mars in one piece (let alone in 39 days).

39 Days to Mars is available on Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. A console release is also in the works for later this year.
