SYDNEY, Australia — June 21, 2018 — Ubisoft has announced the publishing line-up for Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey, including a novel, an art book and an official guide – all of which will be published worldwide starting this autumn. Through these books, fans will be able to step even further into the world of Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey as they deepen their knowledge of the game and its lore.

The broadening Ubisoft publishing collection aspires to provide fans with a wide variety of exclusive insights into their many worlds. The vast universe of Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey will be expanded beyond the game to explore: the main story from Kassandra’s point of view, the artwork behind the beautiful and unique regions of the Golden Age of ancient Greece, and an official strategy guide.

Published by Ubisoft and Penguin Random House, the novelization of Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey will tell the main story of the game from Kassandra’s point of view. Kassandra, a descendant of Leonidas, is caught in the turmoil of the Peloponnesian War. Because of the prophecy of an oracle, she was left for dead by her family and escaped from Sparta. 17 years later, now a mercenary in Kephallonia, an unexpected turn of events causes her to set sail across war-torn Greece on an Odyssey to reunite her family and confront the ones who tore it apart. The author, Gordon Doherty, is a Scottish historical fiction writer who previously wrote the Legionary series, set in the Eastern Roman Empire in the late 4th century AD, and the Strategos Trilogy, set in 11th century Anatolia.

The Art of Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey, an art book published by Titan Books, will take readers on an epic voyage into the Golden Age of ancient Greece, a pivotal period that shaped the world and still influences today’s societies. Readers will explore the world of Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey as they discover its regions and secrets, and learn more about Kassandra and Alexios, their armor, their styles and the weapons they use to ply their deadly trade. Concept sketches, texture studies, character art and fully rendered paintings are accompanied by insightful comments and notes from the artists and developers.

The Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey Official Collector’s Edition Guide, a guidebook published by Prima Games, is an indispensable tool for dedicated players. 21st June, 2018 – Grab your backpack and headtorch, and prepare to set off on a charming puzzle-platforming adventure in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS family systems on 13th July. The game includes levels based on four of the Kingdoms from Super Mario Odyssey, with the newly released Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Overview Trailer offering a sneak peek at them. Players who can’t wait to meet the sometimes nervous but always courageous Captain Toad can now download a free demo version of the game – available for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS.

As a platforming game, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a little different from the rest. For starters, the Captain’s heavy backpack means jumping is not possible – so in order to guide him past the various enemies, traps and obstacles that stand between him and the precious Power Star in each course, players will need to take a different approach. Rather than rushing in head-first, it’s important to put some thought into plotting Captain Toad’s route, and even more important to use the adjustable camera to carefully observe the surroundings from all angles. Each level is a compact and lovingly-crafted diorama in its own right, designed using the same “miniature garden” concept – called “hakoniwa” in Japanese – that inspired much of the level design in Super Mario Odyssey. This means that lots of charming details, along with plenty of surprises and hidden collectibles, are packed in to what at first glance might seem like quite a small space.

With more than 70 levels to conquer, there’s plenty to keep even the most intrepid explorer occupied for a long while. As seen in the Overview Trailer, four of these are bonus levels based on Kingdoms featured in Super Mario Odyssey: Metro Kingdom, Sand Kingdom, Cascade Kingdom and Luncheon Kingdom. These bonus levels can be unlocked through regular gameplay, but they can be accessed straight away by scanning one of the Super Mario Odyssey amiibo figures: Mario (Wedding Outfit), Peach (Wedding Outfit) and Bowser (Wedding Outfit). Scanning the Toad amiibo figure will cause a powerful Invincibility Mushroom to appear, while scanning any other amiibo will provide the useful bonus of a 1-Up or two.

The Nintendo Switch version of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is available now for digital pre-load via Nintendo eShop, priced at AU$59.95 / NZ$69.95. By purchasing the game now and pre-loading it to their Nintendo Switch consoles, keen players can be among the first to access the game when it is released at 00:00 local time on 13th July. It’s also worth remembering that digital purchases earn Gold Points worth 5% of the total amount paid, which can be spent on future purchases of Nintendo Switch games and downloadable content in Nintendo eShop.

Hit Mobile Game Receives Massive Update Today

LOS ANGELES – June 20, 2018 – For the first time ever, players can experience high-caliber first-person perspective gameplay in the palms of their hands in the biggest update yet for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile (PUBG MOBILE).

Available as of today, Tencent Games and PUBG Corporation are introducing an all-new first-person perspective variation to the Classic Mode of PUBG MOBILE allowing players to play PUBG MOBILE from an all-new perspective. The first-person perspective mode is just one part of a larger update for the game that also introduces weapon finishes, a Mini-Zone Arcade Mode and more.

London, UK – 20th June, 2018: VirtTrade in partnership with F1 has released, ‘F1® Trading Card Game’ ahead of British Grand Prix in Silverstone in July. Licensed by Formula 1® and now available as a free-to-play app on iOS and Android to be released in July, F1 Trading Card Game offers a unique experience that combines social game elements and collectible trading card mechanics for mobile gamers and F1 fans alike.

F1 Trading Card Game includes collectible images of the drivers, tracks, teams and all the electrifying racing day action with specific updates from each and every race weekend. While the F1 race calendar will be the focus of most activity, ‘Head to Head’ racing and the in-app community will drive engagement in between races and during the off-season.

Collecting and trading are the heart of F1 Trading Card Game, with every card containing attributes to help build a winning deck and a scratch card area that reveal facts and trivia. Duplicates can be ‘fused’ to create ultra-rare cards that give an extra edge when racing. Much of the community action takes place in the ‘Pit Lane’ where fans can find friends to challenge and trade cards with.

THQ Nordic announces Purple Lamp Studios to lead development for The Guild 3

Vienna, Austria, June 20th 2018: To make sure The Guild 3 will leave Early Access in due course, an additional development Studio, Purple Lamp Studios, based in Vienna will add its expertise to the project. Purple Lamp is a newly formed studio consisting of veteran developers who previously worked on various titles at Austrian publisher/developer Sproing, among others.

Based on the work Golem Labs has done so far, Purple Lamp Studios will solve any problems as well as integrate planned features such as multiplayer, societies and the sovereign-mechanic into the game in the following months. Harald Riegler, CEO of Purple Lamp Studios, said, “The Guild is a fantastic franchise and we’re proud to contribute both our experience and our personal passion for strategy games to deliver the game that fans are hoping for.“

About The Guild 3
The Guild 3 is a fascinating trade and life simulation that takes place during the late Middle Ages. You can quite literally experience medieval Europe, step into the shoes of a single character or an entire dynasty, acquire businesses and properties, produce goods and trade them, involve yourself in politics and society, court women or men, love, hate, bribe, fight and live through good times as well as bad.
As The Guild 3 is still in development, some features are already part of the game and some are yet to come.

Features (existing)

  • AI System: The new AI system is learning from own its activities as well from the behavior from other players.
  • Huge Replay-Value: The AI as well as the different and unique scenario settings make every map look, feel and play differently.
  • Scenarios: The player can choose between 8 scenarios: Augsburg, Barony of Birmingham, Archbishopric of Magdeburg, The mighty City of London, Vienna and Presporok, Hanseatic city of Visby, Paris and Mazovia.

Features (planned)

  • Societies: In The Guild 3 the societies can be compared to very powerful social clubs. Some of them, like the freemasons or the craftmans’ guild, are publicly known, others, such as the thieves’ guild or the brotherhood of light, are kept secret.
  • Multiplayer with up to 16 Players via Internet and/or LAN: Custom multiplayer and connection to other The Guild 3 players, no matter where they bought the game.
  • Scenario Editor: Players will be able to create their own maps and create specific rules for them – change ranks and privileges, production chains or societies. These scenarios can be shared with the community.
  • More Scenarios: 4 new scenarios will make their way into The Guild 3: Kingdom of Bohemia, The Netherlands, Duchy of Burgundy and The Hanseatic League.
