Nich Richardson shows gamers the latest and best games and experiences available for PlayStation®VR on PlayStation®4
SYDNEY, 14th December 2018 – Sony Interactive Entertainment Australia (SIEAU) today announces the launch of Australia’s first PlayStation®VR (PS VR) content series, The PS VR Show, with episode one going live next week, on 19th December.
Hosted by former ScreenPlay presenter, Nich Richardson (a.k.a. NichBoy), The PS VR Show jumps into a handful of some of the latest and most exciting content pieces from the ever-growing collection of over 250 games and experiences for PlayStation®VR, only on PlayStation®4.
Each episode will see NichBoy joined by some of the biggest and best gaming personalities from across Australia. Guests will take part in his weird, whacky and fun challenges in virtual reality.
Richardson has previously expressed some scepticism of VR for gaming, however the quantity and quality of content both in development and already available, to PlayStation VR has convinced him otherwise.
‘Since PlayStation made VR mainstream, I’ve always been fascinated by the tech, but we didn’t get many hit titles at launch. It’s been a couple of years, and PlayStation is delivering some amazing games and experiences almost weekly. It’s definitely a great time to kick off a series to show gamers what’s available to them on PlayStation VR’ said Richardson.
Patrick Lagana, SIEAU Director of Marketing, added, ‘We wanted to challenge Nich on his feelings towards PlayStation VR, so what better way than to give him his own PS VR show? It’s great to see Nich and his guests have fun while showcasing the quality and diversity of games and experiences available to PlayStation 4 players. The ever-expanding catalogue is one of the reasons we’ve seen PlayStation VR become the most popular high-end VR system on the market.’
To launch the first episode, Virtual Reality gaming YouTuber Cheru and self-proclaimed “core gaming” reviewer SkillUpYT join Nich on the sofa. The episode will also feature newly released PS VR exclusive and breathtaking arcade game, Tetris® Effect, as well as Virtual Reality creation platform, CoolPaintr VR.
The first episode of The PS VR Show is available on 19 December on PlayStation Australia’s YouTube channel. Check out the trailer for episode one here.
In October this year, PlayStation®VR celebrated its two-year anniversary. It now has over 250 games and experiences, with Borderlands 2, ASTRO BOT: Rescue Mission, Beat Saber, Tetris®Effect, and Creed: Rise To Glory™ all launching over the past two months, available now on the PlayStation Store. As we enter 2019, titles will continue to come out, including Ace Combat™ 7: Skies Unknown and Eden Tomorrow all launching in the next few months.

Additionally, the 4.0 update ushers in an array of balancing changes, improvements, and bug fixes. Daily and weekly challenges will give players another way to earn rewards. Guns have been tweaked to feel more consistent and fluid. The audio system has also been improved so the audio better matches equipment use and expected sound ranges.

Dead Mage and 11 bit studios (Moonlighter) had a bit of bad news today for their upcoming hack ‘n slash game Children of Morta. The game is being delayed to 2019 to give Dead Mage time to polish the game further based on player feedback. The amount of content in Children of Morta has increased significantly over the original plans, such as the addition of mini-bosses and larger biomes, thus increasing the amount of work needed for final polish.
The delay will not affect the console release dates. Instead, Children of Morta will launch simultaneously on Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.
As an apology for the delay, Dead Mage has released a brand new set of screenshots for the game.
Saber Interactive released a brand new gameplay trailer featuring the six character classes in the upcoming four player co-op shooter World War Z. Based on the Paramount Pictures film, World War Z offers a class to suit every play style:
Gunslinger – Perfect for trigger happy players, the gunslinger’s talent tree emphasizes firearm damage and ammo capacity buffs. Hellraiser – The combat engineer for the team comes equipped with plenty of toys that explode to kill or stun zombies. Slasher – An agile melee class skilled in both the blade and the taser. Medic – A pretty self explanatory class equipped with a stim pistol to keep teammates alive. Fixer – While the medic keeps the team alive, the fixer keeps the team’s ammo stores filled with both normal rounds and explosive ammo. Exterminator – This class is a riff on the Hellraiser. Instead of explosives, the exterminator is all about fire damage.
World War Z will send players across the globe to follow the stories of various survivors of the zombie apocalypse. The game is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows in 2019.

New PvP Content and Holiday Event Coming This December
LOS ANGELES, California (Dec 13, 2018) – Netmarble Corporation announced a new update today for Iron Throne, the mobile MMO strategy game. The update is available now and introduces new content, as well as improvements and expansions to existing content.
Coming in this month’s update is The Golden Moon – new, exciting player vs. player content. In the Golden Moon, 20 lords will battle to conquer The Golden Sanctuary within a certain amount of time; those who fail to conquer it will be removed. When The Golden Sanctuaries are occupied, gift boxes designated by the level of each sanctuary will be given as rewards.
Lords with castles of level 20 or higher can enter The Golden Moon at any time. Players can enter The Golden Moon by selecting the menu on the field map, or by clicking on the icon on The Dimensional Portal. When players enter The Golden Moon, they will be moved to a dedicated map for sanctuary battle against other lords. There are a total of nine core buildings called The Golden Sanctuaries.
Additionally, two new heroes have been added to the game to fight for the throne: Infidus and Kenzaburo. Kenzaburo, the leader of the Konoe family, is the grandfather of existing heroine ‘Mokoto Konoe.’ His appearance indicates that the world of Iron Throne has been extended to Japanese civilization.
In addition to two new heroes, two new castle skins are also now available. The Advent Castle and Ice Castle. Players can acquire the Advent Castle by purchasing it with gold. However, the Ice Castle is given as a reward for participation in December’s event, and players can use it for 30 days.
Furthermore, in celebration of the holiday season, special effects and decorations will be applied to the castle and world map, along with two additional holiday lords’ portraits. The decorations will feature snowy weather and holiday decorations. In addition, an event monster appears on the world map and a holiday special login reward is given.
Finally, as a part of the December update, a Battle Royale Championship event will be available. 20 lords who earn the highest score will be selected through qualifiers. The selected lords will compete a Battle Royale Championship to determine which of them is the strongest.
Iron Throne is now available for iOS and Android platforms via Apple App Store and Google Play.

FRANKFURT, Germany – Dec. 13, 2018 – Early access development means constant updates, and today Crytek have released another big one for their early access online multiplayer bounty hunting game, Hunt: Showdown. One of the stars of Update 4.0 is the new Quickplay game mode, designed to offer players the option to play a game of Hunt with a shorter match length—and different gameplay. Players will also find a slew of world improvements—from bug fixes to readability tweaks for both maps—and daily and weekly challenges added by popular community request. On the weapon front, gunplay changes for Update 4.0 center around unifying the feel of weapons so that they are more consistent and fluid overall, and the game’s audio has also seen a lot of developer attention, with improvements and bugfixes across the board.
About Hunt: Showdown
Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person bounty hunting game that packs the thrill of survival games into a match-based format. Set in Louisiana in 1895, the game boasts a mixture of PvP and PvE elements that creates a uniquely tense experience. It’s not just the monsters who are a threat—it’s every Hunter on the map. In the classic game mode, a match of Hunt pits ten players—playing solo or in teams of two—against each other as they race to take out gruesome monsters for a bounty they must collect and get off of the map, while Hunt’s Quickplay mode offers a shorter match for solo players to scavenge for weapons as they compete for a diminishing pool of bounty. The higher the risk, the higher the reward–but a single mistake could cost everything. Hunt is available now on Steam. For more information, visit https://www.huntshowdown.com/.
