Milan, Italy – September 4th 2020 – Global publisher 505 Games and developer ECC Games S.A. are pleased to announce that drift racing simulation game DRIFT21 will receive a new update to the Steam Early Access version today as part of the ongoing development roadmap. 

Released on the Steam Early Access program on May 7th, DRIFT21 puts you behind the wheel of your very own drift racing car as you take on Japan’s legendary EBISU circuits. Choose from a range of fully licensed cars and fine tune your dream drifting machine right down to the smallest engine parts to gain every advantage when on the track. 

In today’s update DRIFT21 welcomes the king of the European drifting tracks, the BMW E46. Players can build their car from scratch or use some of the presets already available in the Quick Race mode. And if players were lacking in power before, there is a mighty V8 engine waiting for them in the garage, which after tuning, will deliver over 1000 horsepower! 

There will also be various fixes and updates to the game that have been reported by the community to enhance the player’s driving experience. As part of the ongoing Early Access development roadmap, ECC Games S.A is working with the community to gather feedback on all aspects of the gameplay and content to ensure that DRIFT21 continues to lead the way in the drift racing simulation genre.

TOTAL RECALL – 30th Anniversary Release 2020

Sydney Australia September 4, 2020   STUDIOCANAL, Lionsgate, Fathom Events and Rialto Pictures today announce the 4K, Ultra High Definition™ restoration of Paul Verhoeven’s (ROBOCOP, BASIC INSTINCT, STARSHIP TROOPERS) sci-fi classic TOTAL RECALL (1990) which was undertaken by STUDIOCANAL and supervised by the renowned director himself. 

The film has been selected to premiere at the upcoming Deauville American Film Festival (4-13 September 2020) as well as Sitges, International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia (8-18 October 2020).

Director Paul Verhoeven says of the restoration: “I just saw the 4K presentation of my movie and it’s absolutely wonderful what STUDIOCANAL and the restoration team have done. There is so much detail you could say it is three-dimensional. Bravo! I hope many people go and see the movie.” 

In celebration of the film’s 30th Anniversary, the film will premiere theatrically in France on September 16 2020 followed by the US, where Fathom Events and Rialto Pictures are partnering with STUDIOCANAL to bring the restored classic back to cinemas this fall. Fathom’s screenings will feature an exclusive introduction from Paul Verhoeven.

STUDIOCANAL will also launch a series of new home entertainment editions in France, the UK, Germany, Australia and New Zealand later this year.  Additionally, Lionsgate will release a 4K Ultra HD™ Combo Pack and Steelbook in the US on December 8 2020.

A brand-new poster and trailer have been created to promote the release. Notably, the poster was designed by British illustrator and movie poster artist, Kyle Lambert. Lambert has previously designed the iconic key art for STRANGER THINGS and is renowned in the industry for his distinctive retro style. 

Adapted from Philip K. Dick’s short novel, We Can Remember It For You Wholesale, TOTAL RECALL is a truly visionary film ahead of its time. Featuring a career best performance from the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger, the film was restored in 4K from a scan of the original 35mm negative and was made at Technicolor LA in tiff 16 bits format. Colour-grading was supervised by Jérome Bigleur at Hiventy. The restoration crew paid particularly high attention to preserve special effect continuity. One of the earliest films to use computer generated-images, TOTAL RECALL was honoured with the Academy Award® for Special Achievement Award for Visual Effects in 1991, and those effects have impressively stood the test of time. The original soundtrack, composed by Jerry Goldsmith, also greatly benefited from digital restoration. This exceptional restoration in its Dolby HDR version will make it possible for all generations to enjoy TOTAL RECALL both in theatres with the 4K cinema version, and on Home Entertainment with the new UHD™  Blu-ray edition.

More Than Six Million Players Spent Over 28 Million Hours Playing as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes During August Beta – It’s Time to Assemble!

SYDNEY, 4th September 2020 – Today, SQUARE ENIX® announced that Marvel’s Avengers is now available across Australia & New Zealand for the PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC, and they have recruited Olympic Champion’s Ian Thorpe, Michael Klim, Chris Fydler and Ashley Callus to celebrate the launch.

These four Aussie legends were part of one of the greatest team efforts in Australian sporting history, smashing their US rivals ‘like guitars’ to claim Gold in the Men’s 4x100m Freestyle relay 20 years ago. The team is reassembling to mark the milestone and this time they are swapping swimsuits for gaming consoles and taking on a new mission – defending Earth in the new Marvel’s Avengers game.

Our mightiest heroes aren’t letting COVID-19 travel restrictions prevent them from getting together, reuniting online in the game through its four-player co-op function to commemorate the anniversary. 

Olympian Ian Thorpe says having the opportunity to celebrate the anniversary through the game is serendipitous, “Going into that race, we knew it was going to take superhuman strength from all of us to win Gold. Now, 20 years later, having the opportunity to actually play a superhero in Marvel’s Avengers alongside the team, it’s a nice tribute to that moment and a chance for us to relive some memories.

Unfortunately, due to the current travel restrictions Ashley can’t join us but being able to play Marvel’s Avengers and compete in a different way through the game is special way for us to honour the win,” added Thorpe.

Marvel’s Avengers offers players a truly rich experience and combines the single player focused Reassemble story campaign with the ongoing Avengers Initiative’s War Zone missions, which take the Avengers around the world and beyond. Each mission in the Reassemble campaign is designed to showcase one or more hero’s unique abilities, while the Avengers Initiative missions can be played solo with your own custom AI team or with a group of up to four players* as any Hero in the player’s roster.

“At its heart, Marvel’s Avengers is a game about hope in a modern Super Hero setting,” said Shaun Escayg, creative director for Marvel’s Avengers at developer Crystal Dynamics. “Our original story campaign features Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, as the point-of-view focus who is unflappably optimistic, and she uses her passion, natural curiosity, gifted intellect, and emerging powers to expose a conspiracy, leading her on an adventure to re-assemble and re-build the Avengers to their former glory.”

To ensure a continuing heroic experience for all players, the narrative of Marvel’s Avengers will expand over time, with the addition of new stories featuring new heroes, villains, mission types, regions, items, and more delivered to players at no additional cost once they own the core game. These stories move the entire Marvel’s Avengers narrative world forward on a multi-year arc, and all new missions are accessible to the entire roster of playable heroes.

Fans won’t have to wait long for this new content, either. The game’s first post-launch content season, focused on the recently announced Kate Bishop and her iconic mentor Hawkeye, Clint Barton, begins just weeks after launch with mysterious new Tachyon missions. Kate’s Operation, “Taking AIM,” kicks off in late October featuring a new villain and new mystery. Kate, an Olympic-calibre gymnast and master archer, comes with her own distinct set of Skills, Gear, and moves to unlock and master just like the core launch Heroes.

“Taking AIM” begins shortly after the conclusion of the game’s Reassemble campaign and is just the first half of the two Hawkeyes’ Story Arc. Clint Barton’s Hawkeye takes the stage in November to complete the double-feature arc and set the stage for what’s next. All of these new missions are playable with the entire roster of heroes, and all of this content, including heroes, villains, game modes, missions, gear, and more will be made available at no cost to all owners of the Marvel’s Avengers core game.

Players in Marvel’s Avengers are also able to customise Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in a number of ways. While each Super Hero plays true to their unique power sets, each has the flexibility to play differently based on the gear players equip and the skills they enable, so no two player’s heroes play in exactly the same way. Each hero has dynamic combo systems, heroic moves,  intrinsic abilities, and signature move sets to unlock and customise – many inspired by classic moves from over 80 years of Marvel history across all media, while others are crafted as originals just for the game.
 
Players can also dress the iconic Super Heroes with classic, fan-favourite, and all-new original outfits, including Iron Man’s suit from the 2014 Original Sin storyline, or Thor’s Donald Blake identity, which is a nod to an alias of Thor’s who first appeared in 1962’s Journey into Mystery issue #83.

Marvel’s Avengers will be available on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X when the consoles launch in 2020. Players who own the current-gen version of the game will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version at no additional cost, regardless if players are moving from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series X. Those moving their saves to next-gen will transfer their player profiles and progression so they can pick up right where they left off. In addition, cross-gen play will be supported so PS5™ players will be able to play with their friends on PS4™ and Xbox Series X players can connect with their friends on Xbox One.

The Razer Naga Pro is the newest addition to the Razer™ HyperSpeed wireless line up, and draws and improves upon the success of the Naga Trinity, which first introduced the three-in-one modular design. It packs all the latest and greatest in gaming technology while still retaining its core, fan-favourite design. A multi-genre design for maximum customisability

The updated modular design now features three magnetic side plates with two, six, or 12 programmable button layouts. The six-button side plate is a newly designed layout debuting for the first time on the Naga Pro. Each side plate is designed to complement specific game genres: the 12-button plate for MMO/RTS games, the six-button plate for Battle Royale/MOBA, and the two-button plate for FPS games. 

  • The 12-button side plate features the greatest number of buttons to optimise skill rotations and macros, with ergonomic positioning for instant access. It is perfect for situations where timing and precision are most crucial like in MMO or RTS games.
  • The 6-button side plate offers a balance of control and accessibility. This layout is ergonomically designed with Battle Royale or MOBA games in mind. The buttons are laid out in two rows for quick access to skills or items, and it comes with a side grip for more controlled swipes.
  • The 2-button side plate is the standard fit for FPS games. Where precision matters most, its larger rubberised grip provides maximum control in every shootout. It is complemented by two buttons for just essential commands like crouching or sniping.

The side plates give gamers access to an unmatched total of up to 20 programmable buttons. With Razer Hypershift, accessible through Razer’s Synapse software, each button can also be layered with a secondary function for maximum control and customisability. For swift and easy access, the Naga Pro can store up to five on-board memory profiles – even without the software. 

Upgraded with the latest innovations

The Naga Pro is driven by the RazerHyperSpeed Wireless technology, trusted and proven by top esports athletes, for a connection faster than most wired mice. As an added benefit, Razer HyperSpeed Wireless requires less power from the mouse than other wireless gaming mice, extending the battery life of the Naga Pro to last up to 100 hours of continuous gaming on 2.4 Ghz or even up to 150 hours on Bluetooth. Just over two weeks ago, Microsoft Flight Simulator launched. Thanks to the incredible support of our community of fans, pilots, flight enthusiasts and virtual travelers, we have had more than one million unique players take to the skies. Additionally, Microsoft Flight Simulator was the biggest game launch in Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta) history. On behalf of the entire team, we’d like to express our gratitude to all the fans who have begun to explore the world and the magic of flight with us.
