ALL-NEW FEATURES AND PLAYABLE VERGIL TO NEXT-GEN CONSOLES

SYDNEY – September 17, 2020 – Announced today during the September PlayStation® 5 Showcase, Capcom is kicking off the new console generation in SSStyle with Devil May Cry™ 5 Special Edition. As the storied publisher’s first title on next-gen, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition comes packed with an abundance of new features and game modes powered by next-gen consoles, in addition to the heavily requested arrival of Vergil as a playable character. With Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, Capcom is upping the ante on stylish action with the introduction of next-gen features such as ray tracing technology and enhanced 3D audio, fan-favorite modes including Turbo Mode and Legendary Dark Knight Mode, and the inclusion of Deluxe Edition and EX Color Pack content. Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will be available for PlayStation® 5 and Xbox Series X*, with the digital version arriving as day one launch titles for next-gen consoles. The release timing of the physical versions will be shared at a later date.

Powered by Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine, the critically acclaimed Devil May Cry 5 set a new standard of excellence in the iconic action series which has shipped more than 22 million units to date. After creating vivid gameplay experiences in other hit titles such as Resident Evil™ 7 biohazard, Resident Evil™ 2, and Resident Evil™ 3, RE Engine is arriving on next-gen consoles for unparalleled realism and visual spectacle. Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition punches up the already cutting edge performance of the RE Engine by integrating numerous audio and visual enhancements. The power of next-gen consoles has unlocked new ways to experience the superb stylish action in Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition,with the inclusion of new gameplay modes such as Legendary Dark Knight Mode and Turbo Mode. Each mode offers a new and distinct level of difficulty for those looking to push their skills to the limit. Fans seeking an added challenge can grapple with the increased enemy count in the perilous Legendary Dark Knight Mode, a new difficulty level which promises to keep even the most seasoned devil hunters on their toes by pitting their skills and style against a Crazy amount of enemies. Adrenaline junkies can pit their reaction times against the increased speed of Turbo Mode, which ups the gameplay speed by 20 percent to allow for even more rapid fire and fluid combos.

Motivated by the overwhelming fan requests for playable Vergil, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition adds to the latest installment in the Sons of Sparda saga by allowing players to play through the destruction of the fictitious Red Grave City as Vergil. In addition to the new Vergil mode, players will be able to take Vergil through the perilous floors of the Bloody Palace challenge mode, while wielding his iconic blade the Yamato. Mafia: Definitive Edition’s Full Licensed Soundtrack Revealed

More than 30 licensed tracks from legendary artists like Duke Ellington and Cab Calloway announced ahead of the game’s launch on September 25

2K and Hangar 13 have released details of Mafia: Definitive Edition’s full licensed soundtrack, which includes 35 songs from jazz greats like Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Django Reinhardt, Lionel Hampton, and more. Ranging from lilting, mournful melodies to up-tempo, airy rhythms, the game’s classic tracks will transport players to the unique time and place of Lost Heaven, a prohibition-era Midwestern city riddled with crime and corruption. Later this week, 2K and Hangar 13 plan to share the third of four planned videos highlighting various aspects of Mafia: Definitive Edition. The first video, “Welcome to the City of Lost Heaven,” gave players a sneak peek at the game’s rebuilt setting. The second, “Life of a Gangster,” looked at the game’s overhauled driving and shooting mechanics. Tomorrow’s video, “Through the Ranks from Bootlegging to Bank Robbing,” will provide insight into the campaign’s missions. And on September 23, the final video will show how the game’s soaring orchestral score came together in the midst of a global pandemic.

Mafia: Definitive Edition – a comprehensive, built-from-the-ground-up remake of the original Mafia – launches September 25. The remake features an updated script filled with rich new dialogue, expanded backstories, and additional cutscenes. Players will also find all-new gameplay sequences and features, best-in-class cinematics, a re-recorded orchestral score, and other enhancements. It’s the Mafia players remember, only much more.

New Games Based on Blockbuster Ubisoft Franchises in Development Exclusively for the Oculus Platform

Sydney, September 17, 2020 — Today during Facebook Connect, Ubisoft announced that it is developing two new games exclusively for the Oculus platform. Based on the Assassin’s Creed and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell franchises, both games deliver the signature fantasy of each brand through the unique immersive experience of VR.

Development of Assassin’s Creed and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell for VR will be led by Ubisoft’s Red Storm Entertainment, in collaboration with Ubisoft Reflections, Ubisoft Düsseldorf and Ubisoft Mumbai. Both games will be created from the ground up specifically for the Oculus platform, and each will include elements from the franchises that fans know and love.  By bringing Assassin’s Creed and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell to VR, Ubisoft is continuing to innovate in this growing sector. A pioneer of new technology, Ubisoft has been developing VR experiences since 2016, with titles like Eagle Flight, Werewolves Within, and Star Trek Bridge Crew — all of which are available on the Oculus platform.

PS5 rolls out in select markets including Australia, North America and Japan on November 12, followed by Europe and additional regions on November 19

The best games lineup in PlayStation history is coming to PS5, including Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Demon’s Souls – providing extraordinary experiences that showcase the future of gaming

SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept 16, 2020 – Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) today announced launch date and price details for its highly anticipated next-generation videogame system, PlayStation®5. SIE also revealed new updates to the PS5™ game portfolio, including Final Fantasy XVI, Fortnite, Hogwarts Legacy, and a new God of War title.

On November 12, PS5 will launch in seven key markets: the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea. The global rollout will continue on November 19 with launches throughout the rest of the world*, including Europe, Middle East, South America, Asia and South Africa. The PS5 Digital Edition will be available for a recommended retail price (RRP) of $599.95 AUD, and PS5 with an Ultra HD Blu-ray™ disc drive will be available for an RRP of $749.95 AUD. Pre-orders will be available starting as early as today at select retailers.

Both PS5 models use the same custom processor with integrated CPU and GPU for high-fidelity graphics up to 4K, as well as the same ultra-high speed SSD with integrated I/O that will deliver lightning-fast loading. Both PS5 models also offer a deepened sense of immersion through the DualSense wireless controller and 3D audio capabilities, so players will enjoy the same transformative gameplay experiences regardless of which PS5 they choose.

To support the PlayStation®4 community as they transition to the next generation when they’re ready, SIE will launch PS4™ versions of a few exclusive titles: Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Sackboy A Big Adventure, and Horizon Forbidden West. While these three games were designed to take advantage of PS5 and its unique next-gen features like the ultra-high speed SSD and DualSense controller, PS4 owners will also be able to enjoy these experiences when they launch. The PS4 digital versions of launch games include a free upgrade on both PS5 consoles, while the PS4 disc versions of these games include a free upgrade on the PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-Ray disc drive.

In addition, SIE today revealed the PlayStation Plus Collection**, a curated lineup of PS4 games that defined the generation, which will be available to PS Plus members to download and play on PS5. The PS Plus Collection features critically acclaimed games, including Batman Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, Fallout 4, God of War, Monster Hunter: World, Persona 5 and many more.

All-New FINAL FANTASY Game Revealed During Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation 5 Showcase.

SYDNEY, 17th September 2020 – During today’s PlayStation 5 Showcase event, SQUARE ENIX® revealed that acclaimed creators Naoki Yoshida (FINAL FANTASY® XIV, DRAGON QUEST® X) and Hiroshi Takai (FINAL FANTASY XIV, THE LAST REMNANT™) are collaborating on an all-new standalone mainline FINAL FANTASY game, titled FINAL FANTASY XVI, for the PlayStation 5 (PS5™) system.

FINAL FANTASY XVI producer (that’s right, just producer) Naoki Yoshida here. How did you enjoy the trailer? The exclusive footage, comprised of both battles and cutscenes running in real-time, represents but a fraction of what our team has accomplished since the start of development on this, an all-new FINAL FANTASY game. In that span, the team’s size has grown from a handful of core members to a full-fledged unit that continues to polish and build upon what they have created so far, all to provide players an experience unmatched in terms of story and gameplay.

Our next big information reveal is scheduled for 2021, so in the meantime, I expect everyone to have fun speculating, as we have a lot in store—not only for FINAL FANTASY XVI, but for FINAL FANTASY XIV, too. Needless to say, I’ll be working hard on both!

When FINAL FANTASY I was released, I was just another player ─ a young student with big dreams. By the time FINAL FANTASY V was in the works, I had earned myself a seat at the developers’ table… albeit at the very end. From there, I moved “online” leaving my mark on both FINAL FANTASY XI and XIV.

And now…XVI.

From the establishment of an all new development environment, to learning the ins-and-outs of the PS5, the team and I have taken on countless challenges during our journey to bring you the sixteenth chapter in the storied FINAL FANTASY franchise. And though we’re pouring our hearts and souls into this project each and every day, it may still be some time before we can get it into your hands. However, I promise it will be worth the wait!

FINAL FANTASY XVI is a single player action-RPG being developed for the PS5.

HEROES AND VILLAINS SAVE LAS VEGAS IN NEW ‘DAMNATION’ COMIC BOOK-INSPIRED UPDATE FOR MARVEL FUTURE FIGHT

New Characters, New Uniforms and a New Extreme Mode Are Added in Today’s Update

LOS ANGELES – 16 September, 2020 – Netmarble’s latest update for the popular mobile game MARVEL Future Fight brings an all-new update to the game inspired by the Damnation comic book storyline. The update brings new characters, uniforms, and an Extreme mode added to the Danger Room and Alliance Battles alongside other in-game updates.

Damnation tells the tale of Mephisto’s conquest of Las Vegas, transforming the City of Sin into his personal hellscape. After Doctor Strange is captured, a new group of heroes gather to rescue the Sorcerer Supreme and free the city. Two new characters, the Spider-Man clone known as the Scarlet Spider,and Morbius, the living vampire, have been added to the game. New uniforms, including a Space Suit uniform for Doctor Strange, a Damnation uniform for Dormammu, a Mr. Knight uniform for Moon Knight, and an Avengers uniform for Blade are also available for players to collect.

Today’s update also includes a new Extreme mode added to the Danger Room. In Extreme mode, Agents play with their own Hero, reflecting both Hero and item stats. Only Tier-3 and Transcend Potential Heroes can be selected, but it can be the same Hero as other players. An extra rating system has also been added for Extreme mode only.

Other additions to MARVEL Future Fight include:

  • Dormammu can now be upgraded to Tier-3 and has new ultimate skills
  • The ‘Awaken Potential’ has been unlocked for Morbius, Moon Knight and Elsa Bloodstone and new Awaken skills have also been added
  • The ‘Realize Potential’ has been unlocked for Scarlet Spider, Morbius, Blade, Elsa Bloodstone, Moon Knight, Dormammu and Iron Fist
  • The ‘Alliance Battle Extreme’ has added New Frost Beasts along with new stages featuring different strategy elements that are updated weekly
  • Improved ‘Hero Selection Improvement’ that allows players to check a selected hero’s main information, and a Role Icon to easily understand the character’s role

MARVEL Future Fight celebrated its fifth anniversary with over 120 million players across the world. The game is currently available worldwide in the App Store® and Google Play™.

Company behind Arizona Sunshine and After the Fall opening new business opportunities for the global publishing group

Sydney, Australia – September 16th, 2020 –  Koch Media GmbH – a wholly-owned subsidiary of Embracer Group AB – today entered into an agreement acquiring 100 percent of the shares of Dutch-based Vertigo Games Holding B.V. (“Vertigo Games”).

With today’s acquisition Koch Media enters a new market segment for the group’s business worldwide, expanding its global network and line up even further.

Founded in 2008, Vertigo Games is a multiplatform VR entertainment company group with offices in Rotterdam and Los Angeles. Vertigo Games focuses on development (Vertigo Studios) and publishing, both for home entertainment (Vertigo Publishing) as well as location-based-entertainment (Vertigo Arcades). Vertigo Games is officially partnered with all major VR platform providers and acts as cross platform publisher and developer in the VR market. The acquisition includes all segments of Vertigo Games’ business, as well as all intellectual property rights. With no changes to the existing management or team, Vertigo Games will act as an independent content provider and publishing label for Koch Media’s global games business.
