Playable Sitcom 3 out of 10 Comes to Nintendo Switch on 3 March

Playable Sitcom 3 out of 10 Comes to Nintendo Switch on 3 March

Binge Season One of Game Dev Satire with Special Features

BOSTON — 11 Feb., 2020 — 3 out of 10, the episodic playable sitcom from Terrible Posture Games about life at the world’s worst game development studio, goes multi-platform with a pivot to Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, 3 March.

Over 4.5 million players tuned in for 3 out of 10’s debut season last fall on the Epic Games Store, where new episodes released every week for five weeks. Now, on consoles, experience the entire five-episode season in one package. Dive deeper with a bevy of brand-new special features including the surprise-filled Open Explore Mode, actor profiles, the official soundtrack, a concept art gallery, Big Head Mode, and director commentary.

Game animator Midge Potter shows up for a job interview at Shovelworks Studios, a beleaguered bunch of game dev ne’er-do-wells who have yet to earn a review score higher than 3 out of 10

Before she can ask, “What’s your work-from-home policy,” Midge finds herself fending off shark-obsessed protestors, shuttling sacrificial interns back to the campus halls from whence they came, and stocking up on foam bullets for an office-wide battle royale. Small wonder the Shovelworks team can’t seem to finish their game. How are you supposed to get any work done with sentient mannequins and a flamethrower-obsessed character artist wreaking daily havoc?

Equal parts video game and animated show, 3 out of 10 tackles the ridiculous business of making games with irreverent reverence. Follow a cast of zany, larger-than-life developers while each episode pays homage to gaming history with clever mini-games. Brave a game dev university, the secret tunnels to Canada, and more with cover-based shooting, side-scrolling brawls, first-person sneaking, brain-teasing puzzles, pinball, and loads of other game styles both fresh and nostalgic.

“Bringing 3 out of 10 to Nintendo Switch was a chance to give new and returning players alike a fresh look at what it’s really like to be a game developer,” said Joe Mirabello, creative director for Terrible Posture Games. “And if that’s not enough of a window into this industry, check out our directors’ commentary for thoughts about making a game about making a game!”

3 out of 10 will launch for Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, 3 March for $9.99. For more well-intentioned lampooning, hang out with Terrible Posture Games on Twitter, Facebook, Discord, and the official website.

SIX DAYS IN FALLUJAH RECREATES TRUE STORIES FROM THE TOUGHEST BATTLE OF THE IRAQ WAR

Cancelled by its original publisher in 2009, tactical military shooter based on real-world events is now in development by former Halo and Destiny leadership

Seattle, Washington – February 11, 2021. Victura and Highwire Games today announced Six Days in Fallujah, a first-person tactical military shooter based on true stories from the Second Battle for Fallujah in 2004, coming to PC and consoles in 2021. Originally announced by Atomic Games in 2009, Six Days in Fallujah returns with a new publisher, new developer and an all-new game from many of the core leadership team who created the original Halo and Destiny games.

“Sometimes the only way to understand what’s true is to experience reality for yourself,” says former Marine Sergeant Eddie Garcia, who was wounded during the Battle for Fallujah and proposed the original idea for Six Days in Fallujah in 2005. “War is filled with uncertainty and tough choices that can’t be understood by watching someone on a TV or movie screen make these choices for you. Video games can help all of us understand real-world events in ways other media can’t.”

The Second Battle for Fallujah began in 2004 after Al Qaeda seized control of one of Iraq’s major cities. The battle proved to be the toughest military conflict for Western forces since 1968.

Atomic Games announced Six Days in Fallujah in 2009, but saw the title abandoned by its original publisher following controversy about the ability of video games to cover challenging real-world events. Victura is a publishing and production company founded in 2016 by former Atomic Games CEO Peter Tamte with the goal of bringing a new Six Days in Fallujah to players, along with other games based on true stories.

Working in partnership with frontline Marines and Soldiers who fought in the Battle for Fallujah, Victura and Highwire have spent more than three years building unique technologies and game mechanics that bring players closer to the uncertainty and tactics of modern combat than other video games have explored.

Over 100 Marines, Soldiers, and Iraqi civilians who were present during the Second Battle for Fallujah have shared their personal stories, photographs, and video recordings with the development team. The game gives these stories voice through gameplay and first-person accounts captured in original documentary interview footage. Six Days in Fallujah aims to be the most authentic military shooter to date and to tell these military and civilian stories with the integrity they deserve.

“It’s hard to understand what combat is actually like through fake people doing fake things in fake places,” says Peter Tamte, CEO of Victura. “This generation showed sacrifice and courage in Iraq as remarkable as any in history. And now they’re offering the rest of us a new way to understand one of the most important events of our century. It’s time to challenge outdated stereotypes about what video games can be.”

Six Days in Fallujah will launch for PC and consoles in 2021. Victura will announce more details about Six Days in Fallujah in the coming weeks.

For more information about the game go to Six Days in Fallujah at www.sixdays.com where you can also read a letter from the team about why it’s important for this game to be made (https://sixdays.com/why). Six Days in Fallujah is also on Twitter (@VicturaGG), and YouTube.

ABOUT SIX DAYS IN FALLUJAH
Six Days in Fallujah is a first-person tactical military shooter that recreates true stories of Marines, Soldiers, and Iraqi civilians who fought Al Qaeda during the toughest urban battle since 1968. Players lead a fireteam through real-life encounters enabled by unique technology that simulates the uncertainty and tactics of urban combat. Six Days in Fallujah is produced and published by Victura and developed by Highwire Games, which is led by many of the original Halo and Destiny leadership. Six Days in Fallujah launches for PC and console platforms in late 2021. More information is available at www.sixdays.com.

Victura creates action games that let players participate in the true stories of history’s most interesting moments. Peter was also executive vice-president of Bungie during the development and launch of Halo. Victura is headquartered in Seattle, WA. Victura’s website is www.victura.gg.

OUTWIT ADVERSARIES IN AN EPIC FIGHT FOR ANCIENT CHINA IN ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS XIV: DIPLOMACY AND STRATEGY EXPANSION PACK, AVAILABLE NOW

An All-New Chapter in the Classic Series Emerges on PlayStation 4, Windows PC via Steam, and for the First Time on Nintendo Switch

Hertfordshire, 11th February 2021 – Today, KOEI TECMO Europe and famed developer Kou Shibusawa are proud to launch Romance of The Three Kingdoms XIV: Diplomacy and Strategy Expansion Pack on the PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™, and digitally on Windows PC via Steam®. This Expansion Pack is the latest addition to the RTK historic simulation franchise that has been a staple in strategy gaming for over 35 years.

The Diplomacy and Strategy Expansion Pack introduces four new scenarios into the Three Kingdoms experience, enabling gamers to play as unique warlords who were active during several stages of the time period – and depending on the forces chosen, players will be presented with completely different paths in their attempts to unify China. The four new Scenarios include “The Intentions of Two Yuans” (October 191), a story that depicts how the ambition of warlords clash after the Anti-Dong Zhuo Coalition collapses; “The Battle of Chibi” (October 208), the biggest turning point for Romance of the Three Kingdoms; the “Anti-Guan Yu Coalition” (July 219), where Wei and Wu join forces to prevent Guan Yu from advancing north; and “The Conquest of Liaodong” (January 238), portraying the subjugation of Gongsun Yuan, the King of Yan, by Sima Yi. And while the game portrays classic events like Sun Jian’s sudden death and Zhou Yu’s scheme to sow dissension, players will also be able to create their own striking moments with the new Event Editor. Here, players can combine backgrounds, speakers, BGM, messages, and officer images into a historic recreation all their own.

In addition, the thrilling new War Chronicles Mode introduces five new short scenarios to the battlefield, including the “Anti Dong Zhou Coalition”, “The Battle of Guandu”, “The Battle of Chibi”, “The Battle for Jing Province”, and “The Battle for Wuzhang Plains”. In this new mode, gamers will take command of forces which cannot be chosen in normal scenarios — such as Zhou Yu in “The Battle of Chibi” and rivals Zhuge Liang or Sima Yi in the heated “Battle of Wuzhang Plains” — and each scenario will include original events, adding even more excitement to the classic scenes in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. At the conclusion of each scenario, players will be evaluated and given a score according to several factors including how many turns were used, how many orders were consumed, and how many times a coordinated tactic was executed, testing the true skills of every gamer out on the virtual battlefield.

New officer characteristics and special tactics have also been added, along with new buildings for specific topography, a calendar that enables you to reflect on previous activities in the game, the ability to trade with the great Eurasian empires like Rome and India, and the all-new “Destroy Building” ability – enabling you to sabotage structures on the map, and even set traps like falling rocks!

Also included in the Expansion Pack is the ability for players to interact with cities of foreign tribes, including the tribes of Wuhuan, Xianbei, Qiang, Nanman and Shanyue. While it has always been important to deal with conflicts in the central areas of China, now players must think twice about strategies on the borders where tense battles can now emerge. If players decide to open trade with the foreign tribes of the region, they can send envoys to develop their relations after acquiring certain geographic advantages. For example: conquering Yo Province allows friendships to form with Wuhuan, while conquering Bing Province allows strong relations to form with Xianbei. Players will also have the choice to deploy their troops to conquer these tribes. Once players form strong relations with, or successfully conquer the tribe, an Outlander Officer will join their forces. These extremely powerful officers utilize the “Siyi” formation to gain the upper hand in mountainous areas or forests. In fact, each tribe has a unique trait assigned to them — Qiang officers can activate “Bow Cavalry”, while Xianbei officers are equipped with “War Chariot”. Strategically recruiting Outlander Officers with desired traits will be pivotal in unifying China!

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV: Diplomacy and Strategy Expansion Pack features a variety of early purchase bonus items that will be available to freely download within the first two weeks from launch. The bonus scenario ‘The Fall of Shu Han’ will be available for players on all platforms, while the ‘Battle of Yiling’ scenario, originally a bonus for the release of Romance of The Three Kingdoms XIV, will be available exclusively to Switch players. Additionally, the ‘Legends of Galactic Heroes’ collaboration scenario ‘In the Middle of an Endless Dream’ and all characters of ‘Legend of the Galactic Heroes’ collaboration DLC #1 through #5 will be available as a Switch exclusive bonus. Characters excluding Reinhard and Yang will be available for two weeks after launch. A variety of free updates will also be made available to the game post launch.
