SFB Games is delighted to announce that The Mermaid Mask – the thoroughly charming successor to the award-winning murder mystery title, Tangle Tower – is releasing this summer on PC and consoles.

A riotous follow-up to the beloved Tangle Tower, one of Apple Arcade’s top three most highly rated games of all time. It is the latest instalment of SFB Games’ much-loved Detective Grimoire series, which began as a flash game on Newgrounds in 2007. The Mermaid Mask is a witty, visually spectacular detective mystery that balances heavy themes with light-hearted humour.

Submerge yourself in the nautical beauty of the sprawling Mortuga Submarine, unlocking its many oddities and secrets. In the pitch-black waters beyond a long-abandoned fishing town, the enigmatic captain of the world’s strangest submarine has been murdered. Some say he was an immortal time-traveller. Others say he was a vampire, cursed to stay hidden beneath the waves forever. 

Interrogate the sub’s suspicious occupants – each lovingly voice-acted and brought to life through expressive, hand-drawn 2D animation – and collect clues by solving satisfying puzzles designed to encourage curiosity, experimentation, and that ultimate “aha!” moment of discovery.

This new entry to the series sees the return of renowned voice actors, Edwyn Tiong (Loco Motive, Harold Halibut, Unavowed) and Amber Lee Connors (Jujustsu Kaizen, Demon Slayer, Dandadan, The Outer Worlds 2), to their roles as the endearing Detective Grimoire and his sardonic sidekick, Sally. Skull and Bones’ newest season, Eye of the Beast, is here, bringing new thrills to the Indian Ocean including a new large ship to craft, a Kraken to challenge with friends, an anniversary event where you can obtain a fully crafted Frigate, new seasonal buffs, and more.  

A colossal kraken has emerged from the depths, the most formidable threat ever seen in Skull and Bones. Featuring five battle phases, the Kraken will use its towering tentacles to unleash devastating attacks like whirlpools, tentacle slams, ink strikes, and poison fog. Unlike previous monsters, the Kraken has the ability to damage multiple ships at once, requiring increased coordination from pirate crews to take it down. 

New Large Ship: The Corvette 

The Corvette is Skull and Bones’ second large-sized ship, a support DPS vessel designed to help you and your crew hit harder and recover faster. Its passive perk is Flagbearer, which means that every time you damage enemies or heal allies, you’ll get a Flag Mark stack applied to your ship (a maximum of 20 can be stacked at any time). Here are the buffs that Flagbearer brings:  

• 1% damage increase against enemies (up to 20%) OR 2.5% increased healing (up to 50%) 
• Non-hostile extra-small, small, and medium ships within a 500 meter radius gain 5% increased damage and 5% healing amount 
• Increased hull health restored by repair weapons (5% per repair weapon equipped) 
• At max stack (20 Flag Marks), enemies receive 10% additional weakpoint damage; allies receive 1% of repair received on Severe Damage. This effect lasts for 20 seconds.  

You can earn the Corvette blueprint by completing 45 tiers in the Smuggler’s Pass.  

Faction War 

The war between the Compagnie Royale and the Dutch Merchant Company (DMC) is in full swing. Make your mark and turn the tide in the war by capturing and defending key territories as well as turning manufactories into vital production chains for your chosen faction. You can also face off against rival faction players in Defense and Raid events, earning buffs and passive effects for your Helm empire with every victory.  

Smuggler’s Pass 

This season’s Smuggler’s Pass offers thrilling rewards, from the new Corvette to new weapons to cosmetic sets, including:  

• Woundcaller, a torpedo launcher that triggers taunt and stacks damage 
• Tide’s Reprieve, an armour that stacks repairs and recovers brace strength 
• Sunken Watchers, Jaeger’s Pursuit, Widow’s Embrace and other cosmetic sets 
• Miles the Menace, a grizzled lemur ship companion 

Year 2 Celebration and Limited-Time Events 

Celebrate two years of Skull and Bones with the return of the Founding Event, running from 10 February – 10 March. During the event, you can complete challenges to earn rewards, and collect Silver Lions which can be used to purchase special items from the event vendor in Sainte Anne – including a fully crafted Frigate. 

And, because no pirate’s life is complete without a good shanty, a brand-new sea shanty collection, Songs of the Sea Volume 2, is out now on all music streaming platforms. These shanties will also be added in-game later during the season. 

The Legend of Nian will return in a mid-season limited-time event, this time featuring a more powerful enemy. Defeat the Nian to earn new gear, cosmetic rewards, and powerful Ascension items.  

Quality of Life Improvements 

Skull and Bones: Eye of the Beast also introduces a number of gameplay updates, including:  

• New inventory tabs for the cargo and warehouse

After yesterday’s debut of the WWE® 2K26 Showcase trailer, 2K unveiled the latest Ringside Report, offering more details on 2K Showcase: Punked, narrated by cover star CM Punk himself.

In 2K Showcase: Punked, players step into the boots of one of the most influential and subversive Superstars in WWE history for a very personal journey, blending authentic career milestones with alternate-history twists, and fantasy “What if?” match scenarios.

Kicking off with a view of the WrestleMania 41 triple-threat match featuring CM Punk vs. Seth “Freakin’” Rollins vs. Roman Reigns, with Paul Heyman in CM Punk’s corner, the Showcase puts players in control of the “Straight Edge Superstar” in matches spanning his entire WWE career. Players can relive iconic matches, taking on Randy Orton at WrestleMania 27, The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29, Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood 2024, and more, all accompanied by Punk’s candid commentary and behind-the-scenes insight. Players will find themselves facing off with a cast of WWE Legends and World Champions such as Undertaker, The Rock, Rey Mysterio, JBL, John Cena, and more.

What if CM Punk never left WWE in 2014? What if certain rivalries had different outcomes?
