The PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup for August will be making welcome additions for Extra and Deluxe members on August 16. It will be headlined by three Yakuza games (which will soon be followed by other entries in the series later this year). But rubbing shoulders with the crime series will be multiplayer horror Dead by Daylight, open-world shooter Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands and whimsical adventure Bugsnax.

Game Catalogue lineup for PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe members 

Yakuza 0 

The glitz, glamour, and unbridled decadence of the 80s are back in Yakuza 0. Fight like hell through Tokyo and Osaka with protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and series regular Goro Majima. Play as the former to discover how he finds himself in a world of trouble when a simple debt collection goes wrong. Then, step into the silver-toed shoes of Goro Majima and explore his “normal” life as the proprietor of a cabaret club. Watch the trailer here.

Yakuza Kiwami 

The first Yakuza title debuted in 2005 on PS2. This PS4 remake rebuilds that experience from scratch. Follow the early days of Kazuma Kiryu as he returns to the streets of Japan after serving a decade-long prison sentence for a crime he didn’t commit to save his best friend. Watch the trailer here.

Yakuza Kiwami 2

Yakuza’s sequel receives the remake treatment, not only updating the original but expanding it with a playable adventure starring Goro Majima set before the events of the main game. A year after the events of the first Yakuza, an assassination pulls Kazuma Kiryu out of a peaceful life to broker peace between rival clans and face off against Ryuji Goda, known as the Dragon of Kansai. Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight is a 1v4 multiplayer game that draws from all corners of the horror world from a powerful slasher to a terrifying paranormal entity. Choose between playing an unstoppable Killer and one of 4 Survivors trying to evade a gruesome death. Each character has their own deep progression system and plenty of unlockables that can be customized to fit your personal strategy. Work together to escape, or stalk and sacrifice every Survivor. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

Demo will be available to play on Steam for all players

SEOUL – Aug. 10, 2022 – Oceanic adventure game DAVE THE DIVERwill be a part of this year’s gamescom, re-releasing its well-received demo for all players on Steam from Tuesday, Aug. 23 to Sunday, Aug. 28. Players can experience DAVE THE DIVER’s unique gameplay and understand how this charming demo won player’s hearts with its witty characters and beautiful underwater landscapes.

MINTROCKET will distribute Steam keys until Wednesday, Aug. 17 to qualified streamers and creators to play the demo ahead of gamescom. Those who are provided with a demo Steam key will also be selected through an additional selection process to play the Early Access version when available.

We’re excited to return to gamescom in Cologne, Germany this August and hang out in person with the community for the first time since 2019!  

We’re really looking forward to being back on the show floor, bringing our passionate fans together again in person to celebrate what’s ahead at Xbox. At gamescom 2022, whether attending the show or watching the Xbox Booth @ gamescom Live Stream from home, fans in Europe and around the world can expect a little more insight into some of our previously announced games coming to Xbox in the next 12 months. 

We’re also very pleased to announce the return of Xbox FanFest to the show floor. More details on this and everything else we’re up to at gamescom 2022, can be found below. Here’s what to expect.

This year the Xbox booth will be back in Hall 8 and will feature 36 stations with a fantastic line-up of content coming to Xbox in the next 12 months, many of which will arrive on Game Pass on day one.

There’s no better way to connect with others in the Xbox community than being together in-person. Together, fans can enjoy fun booth activities, including meet and greets with game creators. Sydney, Australia – August 11^th, 2022: Warner Bros. Games and DC has revealed a new gameplay trailer for Gotham Knights, the upcoming open-world action RPG in development by Warner Bros. Games Montréal.

The video features all-new gameplay and custom cutscenes of Red Hood, also known as Jason Todd. An intense vigilante with a short fuse, Red Hood is a highly trained marksman and hard-hitting, hand-to-hand fighter who’s reached the peak of human strength, making him an expert in both ranged and melee combat. After his violent death and subsequent resurrection in the Lazarus Pit, Red Hood gained the ability to harness mystical powers that aid him in battle and allow him to propel his body through the air to traverse the city. Despite his complicated past, Red Hood has reconciled with the Batman Family and is committed to using non-lethal combat methods to protect Gotham City in the wake of Batman’s death.

LOS ANGELES – August 10, 2022 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality mobile games, released a new game update titled “Fight for the Throne” and “Capital Kingdom” for the massively multiplayer online role-playing anime game Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds. Players can experience new features, events, player options and more.

In “Fight for the Throne,” players will battle to become the strongest kingdom in the server. Four kingdoms enter the battle as they attempt to bring the dragon to their own base. The winning kingdom will need to reach a specific score and implement unique strategies to overcome their opponents. The winning army will be designated as a “Capital Kingdom” on the server and will receive honor and rewards for their efforts. A Special Kingdom Skin (Kingdom decorative element) and costume will be awarded as well as its very own policy for special events on the server.

• ‘Fight for the Throne’ Opening Event: A newly added Cheer feature allows players to cheer kingdoms, joining the fight. Players who use this feature during a specific cheering period will receive a 4★ Decoration Chest.
• Cooking Competition Episode Eve Event: Based on mission points, players can obtain the 4★ Sore Boar Familiar and various power up materials. Mission Points can be earned by completing various missions such as Cook in the Kingdom and Conquest Missions.
