Upcoming Playable Demo and “The Mercenaries” Free DLC Also Announced

Sydney, Australia – February 24^th, 2023 – During PlayStation’s latest State of Play digital event, Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, unveiled exciting new details regarding the upcoming release of Resident Evil™ 4. The latest look at the highly anticipated title gave a glimpse of Leon S. Kennedy exploring multiple new environments, a cutting exchange with Jack Krauser, and more! Alongside these gameplay reveals, the trailer also announced an upcoming demo for Resident Evil 4 and confirmed “The Mercenaries” mode will return as free DLC after launch. During their harrowing escape from a small European village in thrall to Las Plagas, Leon and his ward Ashley Graham must navigate multiple environments controlled by the cult of Los Illuminados. Across a sprawling castle, dilapidated mines, and more, they encounter even more infected villagers, deranged cultists, and insidious enemies empowered by the Las Plagas parasite. Leon and Ashley must navigate these foes while also deciphering the arcane designs of the hidden mechanisms, esoteric puzzles, and tantalizing secrets. The duo’s path to safety also intersects with the calculating special forces operative Major Jack Krauser.

The trailer also announced some exciting experiences for fans eagerly anticipating the full release of Resident Evil 4, and those who want even more to do after completing the main campaign. To help hold fans over until March 24, the Resident Evil 4 demo has been announced. Special agents looking to tackle even more challenges in Resident Evil 4 will be excited to hear the prolific “The Mercenaries” challenge mode is also returning as free post-launch DLC. 2K and Marvel Entertainment announced that Redemption*, Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ second post-launch DLC featuring Venom, is now available worldwide on Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. 

In Redemption, Venom, the deadly amalgam of Eddie Brock and an alien symbiote, joins the Midnight Suns to right the wrongs he committed under Lilith’s demonic influence. Blood-sucking vampyres have infested the sewers beneath New York City, but even they quake in fear at the sight of Venom’s pitch-black claws and razor-sharp teeth. With help from the Midnight Suns, Venom is fighting to regain control of his actions and rid NYC of the undead scourge—but unshackling himself from one manipulative demon has attracted the attention of another. Venom is recruited by completing his first story mission “The Devil’s Due,” which becomes playable after completing the “Shattering Expectations” mission at the end of Act One.

On the battlefield, Venom starts off each encounter with a big damage bonus in the form of Ravenous. Ravenous is a unique mechanic to Venom; he starts off with three stacks and each stack increases his base offense. Using an Attack or Heroic uses one stack of Ravenous, which then gets refilled a bit each turn. This makes Venom particularly bursty as a character – he requires careful play order management to maximize his damage potential, but his abilities can allow him to sustain longer periods of intense power.

Building Venom’s Whisper Web upgrade in the Abbey unlocks the ability to use Intel to modify general missions, applying a random modifier such as switching the mission leader and decreasing the mission difficulty. Upgrading Whisper Web adds an additional reward to the mission, such as Credits, Blueprints or Essence. 

Redemption is available today for Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Marvel’s Midnight Suns is rated M. New gameplay trailer gives players first glimpse at General Ketheric Thorm, played by J.K. Simmons, alongside split-screen co-op and controller support

DUBLIN – Feb. 23, 2023 – At today’s State of Play Event held by Sony, Larian Studios announced via a new gameplay trailer that Baldur’s Gate 3 will ship on PlayStation 5, PC and Mac on Aug. 31, 2023.

Larian’s latest Baldur’s Gate 3 trailer gave players their first glimpse at one of the next-gen RPG’s as-yet-unseen antagonists, General Ketheric Thorm, a seemingly invincible necromancer leading an army of the dead towards the eponymous city of Baldur’s Gate – and voiced by none other than acclaimed character actor J.K. Simmons.

“Ketheric is a man with complex ambitions and motivations, so in searching for his voice, we knew we needed to work with a renowned character actor who could deliver the kind of nuanced performance we were looking for – so we decided to cast J.K. Simmons (Whiplash, Spider-Man). While we expected it, we were still amazed at how much his performance helped deepen the character. We’ll introduce you to two more antagonists over the coming months – keep an eye out,” explained Larian creative director Swen Vincke in a post on the PlayStation Blog.

The latest Baldur’s Gate 3 trailer also includes several gameplay-related reveals:

• Split-screen Co-op: Play with up to two players on one PS5 using split-screen co-op, or play online with up to four players!
• Controller Support: Baldur’s Gate 3 has only supported mouse-and-keyboard gameplay during early access on Steam, but the new trailer provides a first look at what to expect from full controller support at launch.

DIGIMON WORLD: NEXT ORDER is a monster-collecting RPG in which the Digital World has been put under complete chaos. Players embody a Digidestined, who, after the spread of a virus turning Digimon into Machinedramon, has to stop the infection from destroying the world.

Along two Digimon companions, players can find and recruit among over 200 Digimon that they will have to feed, train, and form a bond with, for them to Digivolve. Developed by the Polish studio Games Incubator, the simulator was first released on PC, where it was met with a positive reception from gamers (70 percent of approximately 1,000 Steam reviews were positive), and then came to the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

In Ship Graveyard Simulator, you will find yourself in the world’s largest ship graveyard, a beach filled with hundreds of different shipwrecks. The title allows you to play as a worker engaged in dismantling these large colossi. Interestingly, it is considered one of the most dangerous professions, so the player must be aware of numerous risks, including possible exposure to toxic substances.

The gameplay in Ship Graveyard Simulator primarily consists of exploring wreck decks and dismantling selected ship sections. Possible tasks include cutting, destroying, or welding the different components. As you work on dismantling wrecks, you will obtain parts and valuable raw materials, which you can then sell and use the money you get to, for example, improve your equipment and make suitable preparations for the challenges ahead.
