The hardcore shooter Bloodhound, known for its intense and brutal retro-style gameplay, has received a free update that transforms the game into a pixelated boomer shooter. In this broader update, developers have introduced various improvements, enhancing the overall gunplay experience. Until October 28th, the game is available on PC at a promotional price reduced by 50%. Additionally, in Q1 2024, Bloodhound will make its debut on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Bloodhound is a first-person shooter developed by the independent Polish studio Kruger & Flint Productions, comprising experienced developers who have previously worked on titles such as Dying Light 2, Witchfire, and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3. The game’s intense gameplay draws inspiration from classic titles like Doom, Quake, and Painkiller, featuring dynamic action and high levels of brutality.

Performance enhancements come from investing your Skills Points earned while racing in a Skill Tree composed of three branches, which upgrade vehicles in different ways; players can choose to improve boost and related features, handling, or the ability to navigate obstacles.

New gameplay mechanics also add increased depth to the racing excitement. Players can now use Single or Double Jumps for clever overtakes, dodging obstacles, and reaching shortcuts or previously unreachable track sections, while Lateral Dash allows drivers to quickly move sideways, ideal for colliding with opponents or avoiding falling off the track. NEW GAME MODES AND A STORY-DRIVEN CAREER

Salt and Sacrifice will launch on Nintendo Switch and Steam (Deck Verified) on Wednesday, November 7, 2023, for USD $19.99. The game is also available on PlayStation 5|4 and Epic Games Store in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) and Japanese.

PlayStation Australia celebrates the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 with The Spectacular Save at Barangaroo Sydney – One-of-a-kind stunt: A huge truck seemingly suspended mid-air by webs  

PlayStationAustralia is celebrating the launch of its exclusive title and one of 2023’s most anticipated games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, with a Spectacular Save of a truck in Watermans Cove in Barangaroo, Sydney. The incredible installation portrays a truck seemingly suspended by webs and safely stuck in a sticky situation. Check out this clip of the truck “moments before” the Spectacular Save and how it was stopped, just in time below:

The Spectacular Save will be in place in Watermans Cove from 9AM Friday 20 October until 4PM Sunday 22 October. Visitors can even get in on the action with a photo moment, as if they have saved the truck themselves. Those checking out the site at night may even see a surprise left behind by an iconic villain…
