Shapeshift and change your personality to converse with a world of misfits in CRITICAL REFLEX’s latest surreal narrative adventure!
NICOSIA, Cyprus – Dec. 2, 2025 –Today CRITICAL REFLEX, the publisher of memorably off-kilter video games like Mouthwashing and No, I’m not a Human, has released the first public demo for indie developer IODINE’s Burden Street Station, available now for free on Steam. Inspired by the classic visuals of ‘90s adventure games, Burden Street Station is a cosmic narrative experience about finding a missing God.
Burden Street Station is a story-driven adventure about memory, grief, and community. In a surreal universe where memories are harvested from mortals and sold as sentient books to celestial consumers, one day, production stops. God is gone, and it’s up to a lowly librarian and his reluctant sidekick Memo to investigate. Shapeshift during conversations, collect different personalities through talking and exploration, and use them to unlock dialogue options and advance multiple stories in search of answers.
