Yooka-Laylee First Trailer Released Alongside Delay News

It looks like Playtonic Games couldn’t wait until E3 to reveal the first trailer for its first title Yooka-Laylee, releasing the trailer online alongside some less positive news of a delay. If there was any doubt before of how much of a successor to Banjo-Kazooie this game was going to be (and there really shouldn’t have been any) then this new trailer confirms it, with all the juicy 3D platforming you would expect. You can check out the trailer in full below and be sure to wait until after the credits for some quick jabs at the video game industry and at Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

Unfortunately this trailer was also met with news of a delay from October 2016 to Q1 2017, which was to be expected after the team mentioned they would delay the game if necessary in a recent news post. The standard we need more time to produce a better game response was given in explanation for the delay. The release date should be the same for all the platforms Yooka-Laylee is releasing on including PS4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC.
