A new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has an unlikely narrator. Author, journalist, and historian Judith Flanders introduces players to some of the historical figures Jacob and Evie Frye will encounter during their adventures. Flanders is perfect for the job, as she is known for her specialization in the Victorian period.
In the trailer, viewers are introduced to inventor Alexander Graham Bell, author Karl Marx, biologist Charles Darwin, novelist Charles Dickens, nurse Florence Nightingale and Queen Victoria. By the looks of things, Alexander Graham Bell will be the setting’s new Da Vinci, outfitting the Frye twins with the latest and greatest gadgets to assist them on their journeys. The remaining historical figures look like they may serve as quest givers in the game.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 23. The Windows release will follow on November 19th.
