Sony Mobile announced that the new Sony Xperia Z2 tablets will be available for purchase in Australia on April 26th, 2014. Previously known by its codename “Sirius,” the tablet is designed to deliver a ultra portable media experience with its 5.2″ Full HD screen, while only weight a slim 163g. The Xperia Z2 features a Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.4.2 “KitKat.”

Buyers can purchase the Xperia Z2 4G ready tablets from Telstra. The $35 Telstra Tablet Plan comes with 4GB of data per month in Australia and a $20 per month over 24 months device repayment plan. Buyers can also purchase the tablet outright for $720. The tablet can also be pre-ordered through Sony Australia.
