Gamers complained, Ubisoft listened. PC gamers have been emboldened in the past few years to demand quality ports for games that would previously be console exclusives. Tom Clancy’s The Division was the target of one such demand, over 140,000 fans came together to petition Ubisoft to bring the title to PC. As part of the Gamescom festivities, Ubisoft has announced that The Division will be released for PC.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is a open world RPG third person shooter that follows a team from the Strategic Homeland Division after a deadly pandemic sweeps through New York City during the Black Friday. In the United States, the Friday after Thanksgiving is a massive shopping frenzy with large crowds lining up as early as midnight to purchase heavily discounted goods. Now, the team must combat the virus and those who deployed it as the world fall into chaos.  The Division will be released at the end of 2014 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
