Although the PlayStation Vita probably should have been released with actual support for PSOne Classics, it seems that Sony at least knows when they will actually add it into the handheld. While no firm release date has been given, they did state that Firmware Update 1.8 will implement the support.
Andriasang reports that the company has not yet said how much of the library will be supported or if they will all be available right away. All that has currently been said is that Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy VII will be available immediately. So, at least they are adding in something that should have been done a long time ago. Vita ho!
