In what can only be seen as a rather interesting twist, Sentai Filmworks revealed today that they have given the home video rights back to the production committee for Ro-Kyu-Bu ~ Fast Break!. Sentai simply stated that the committee had asked to buyback all licenses of the show outside of Asia and they complied with this request.
Now this is quite strange as Sentai Filmworks will likely still be able to stream the show online as well as through other sources. Now for those who don’t know Ro-Kyu-Bu ~ Fast Break! followed the story of a highschool basketball star as he begins to teach a young girl’s basketball club. The series lasted for twelve episodes and Sentai Filmworks originally was meant to release the title with English subtitles only. Then again, perhaps given the anime’s subject material, this was for the best.
