It seems that this week’s Famitsu is just full of reveals, as they have also revealed that Tecmo is working on a new Fatal Frame title for the Nintendo 3DS. Though perhaps new isn’t exactly the right word, as it is being described as an augmented reality spinoff. The game will make use of the 3D camera and will be titled Spirit Photography: The Possessed Notebook.
Not much is known about the title at this time, but the game will have a story mode and something called an “AR Note” that will be used for the title. It will also have a mini-game mode that makes use of the notepad which is called Horror Not. Ghost camera is a camera mode that allows players to take spirit photos and battle other ghosts. There unfortunately isn’t a release date at this time, but seeing that picture up above in 3D would give me trouble sleeping at night.
