Boca Raton, FL, 09 April 2026 | Kraken Studios, known for its WarPlan series and Kingdom Dungeon and Hero, is excited to announce that Total Victory: World Conflict 1939-1945 will soon be available on Steam. A new demo will be released on April 16th.

Drawing inspiration from classic wargames like ADG’s World in Flames, SPI’s ETO, and others, Total Victory is the grand strategy wargame that enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for. It combines moderate complexity and divisional-level strategy with historically inspired units and production. Play as any major nation from the Axis, Allies, or Comintern during World War II. Manage production, military units, and prominent historical commanders. Lead land, naval, and air forces against rival nations.

Total Victory features a modified Mercator map with colorful silhouettes highlighting military units unique to each nation. A clutter-free interface lets you focus on strategy, not menus. Land units include infantry, armor, paratroopers, marines, and many more types. Air units include a variety of plane model types. Naval units include individual capital ships and groups of other units. Most military units have a unique set of attributes. Monitor your nation’s overall manpower and oil, as they could be crucial to the war’s outcome. Ore feeds the industry that makes war materials like weapons, tanks, planes, and support units. The automated supply system allows players to focus on play rather than micromanagement. Explore over twenty technological advances that unlock new units, combat enhancements, and intelligence.

Classic, Strategy-First Gameplay
Total Victory provides a challenging yet practical experience, led by an easy-to-use interface. Unlike the micromanagement found in other popular RTS games, Total Victory reduces the need for endless menu-clicking and unit upkeep with its automatic reinforcement mechanic, allowing you to focus more on making strategic decisions. It provides multiple ways to play: exchanging your latest moves through PBEM, pass-and-play on a single PC against a friend in Hotseat mode, or play solo against an AI opponent with adjustable difficulty settings.

New Demo Coming April 16th
Players interested in trying out Total Victory will be able to get a glimpse of the game when the Steam demo launches on April 16th. In the demo, players can get a feel for the land and air mechanics and play as Germany in the Blitzkrieg East Scenario, set in June-September 1941.

Asterfel is an upcoming third-person ARPG inspired by RPGs from the early 2000s. You find yourself shipwrecked on the island nation of Asterfel: an island plagued by a king’s greed. Nordic Game 26 Speaker Update: Samson Creator Christofer Sundberg Leads New Wave of Speakers in Malmö

Newly announced speakers span voice acting, indie development, and player-focused design, strengthening the NG26 lineup

Malmö, Sweden – April 04, 2026 – Christofer Sundberg, creator of Samson and CEO of Liquid Swords, leads the latest wave of speakers confirmed for Europe’s premier B2B games conference, Nordic Game Spring 2026 (NG26), taking place 26–29 May at Malmö’s iconic Slagthuset venue.  The call for speakers is now officially closed, with the full programme continuing to take shape in the coming weeks.

Samson, Lana, Hitman vs Viking

Samson creator and Liquid Swords CEO Christofer Sundberg will deliver a no-holds-barred talk titled “No Safe Answers: Christofer Sundberg on the Games Industry”. Expect a direct and honest discussion about development, leadership, creativity, and business realities, complete with reflections on risk, Samson, failures, and successes.

In a special voice acting panel, the legendary David Bateson (the voice and face of Hitman) meets Magnus Bruun (Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Call of Duty, The Last Kingdom, Black Mirror) for a fierce yet cozy conversation about the challenges and rewards of the craft. The session will be moderated and kept suitably calm by Thomas Bense from PixelTV and Danish television stardom.

The creative duo behind the critically acclaimed Planet of Lana series, Adam Stjärnljus and Klas Eriksson from Wishfully, will take the stage with the deeply personal talk “Planet of Lana – 30 Years in the Making”. From early sketches in the 90s to the recent release of the sequel, they will share the long and winding road of building a dream game and what it really takes to keep believing across three decades.

Vampires, Hela  

Trine Laier from Those Eyes brings experimental energy with her talk “Dig, Bite, Bake and Decapitate – Inverse Mechanics in Real Vampires”. Drawing from her unique vampire life-sim, she will explore how flipping traditional mechanics (and player expectations) can create surprising, addictive gameplay and stronger emotional connections. Her talk is followed up by a workshop dubbed “Real Vampires”, hosted in co-op with Julia Mirny, Art Director at Those Eyes.

Finally, Amanda Gardfors Granberg (Design Lead) and Alexander Benitez (Studio Head) from Windup Games join the strong lineup. Amanda, one of Sweden’s rising design talents, together with Alexander, will focus on player-first design and building meaningful loops in emotionally driven experiences.

These new additions join an already impressive lineup and further strengthen NG26 as the place for real conversations, genuine insights, and valuable connections in the Nordic and European games industry. More speakers and programme details will follow in the coming weeks.

Etheria: Restart Season SS4 Begins Today, Adding New Progression System, Characters, And More 

SS4 Loong’s Thunder: Shattered Dawn runs to 10 June

Shanghai, China April 9, 2026 | XD Games is thrilled to announce that the new Etheria: Restart season – SS4 Loong’s Thunder: Shattered Dawn – has begun today, and will run to 10 June 2026.

One of the big new features of SS4 is the Tactical Imprint progression system. Players can boost their combat stats by equipping a Tactical Imprint (shareable across all different Animus). Imprints have both passive traits and four fixed sockets that can enhance an Animus’ stats even further. By inserting the brand new Components into these sockets, players can upgrade their Animus’ offensive, defensive, and vitality stats.

In order to obtain Tactical Imprints and Components, players must take advantage of the new Hyper Kernel system. Hyper Kernel is Etheria: Restart’s latest factory system, providing resources, power buffs, and the aforementioned Tactical Imprints and Components to players. Through the Hyper Kernel, players can also produce Energy Crystals, which can be used to level up terminal nodes, increase maximum stability, and more. On top of that, players can use the Hyper Kernel to dispatch Animus on regional expeditions for rich rewards. Eventually, players will be able to upgrade the Hyper Kernel to operate as a fully automated, smart factory that collects all resources and supplies for players.

SS4 Loong’s Thunder: Shattered Dawn welcomes new Etheria: Restart players with a dedicated Sprint Server. This is designed to accelerate growth via a 14-day Double Drop limited-time event, Hyper Camp assessment missions that offer Training Points to unlock various rewards, and the Summit Arena Beginner Protection Mechanism that ensures players are not matched with Level 100 opponents until they reach that level themselves.

Additionally, five new Animus will join Etheria: Restart during SS4, starting today with Xuan Chi and Rimeheart Dinah. The defence-orientated Xuan Chi – brother to Xuan Li – can enhance the turn meter of both himself and his allies, creating more opportunities to act; Rimeheart Dinah, meanwhile, is a support-type Animus, taking damage for her teammates on the battlefield, before attacking enemies with her giant blade. 

Additional Animus being added to Etheria: Restart include intelligence officer Luvia, and senior security operative Qano, coming on 30 April. And the final Animus of SS4, Leiboz Life Workshop test subject Sharon, will arrive on 21 May.

A number of adjustments have also been made to members of the pre-existing roster. Asal has received a comprehensive buff, Bornova’s damage range has been stabilised, and Heinrich is getting some new Control abilities. Morbid Metal Now Available in Early Access on Steam

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – April 9, 2026 – Today, Ubisoft and Screen Juice announced that Morbid Metal, a hack-and-slash roguelite with unique shapeshifting abilities and infinite replayability, is now available in early access on Steam for AU$26.95. To celebrate the week of launch, a 25% discount lets players jump into the game for AU$20.21.

Developed by Screen Juice, Morbid Metal is set within a post-apocalyptic simulation. Players progress through stunning, semi-procedurally generated levels, fighting through hordes of enemies and powerful bosses in various environmental biomes, ranging from desolate wastelands of the far future to the overgrown ruins of mankind.

Welcoming players to explore Dino Island ahead of the pups’ return to the big screen this year

Outright Games, in collaboration with Nickelodeon, has today revealed PAW Patrol: Dino World, a new PAW Patrol adventure video game that sends the heroic rescue pups back into action on the prehistoric Dino Island. Launching 18th September 2026, the game delivers a fresh, story-driven adventure designed especially for young players and families.

PAW Patrol: Dino World video game tells an all-new story set on Dino Island, the prehistoric setting that recently debuted in Season 13 of PAW Patrol and will feature in the upcoming PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie™, arriving in cinemas on September 17, 2026. The game invites young fans to step into the paws of their favourite rescue pups, including Chase, Marshall, and Skye, with more to come, for a new, play-driven adventure as they explore Dino Island, take on rescue missions and work together to help prehistoric pals in need.

Designed for children and built for up to two players, PAW Patrol: Dino World offers an accessible introduction to video adventure gameplay. Inspired by the movie, while telling an original story of its own, the game invites players to embark on a new rescue adventure – exploring the environment, solving light challenges and completing rescue missions across the island with controls thoughtfully tailored to preschool audiences.

Each pup brings their signature personality and skills to the adventure game, proving that no job is too big, no pup is too small. Chase, the police pup, can use his tennis ball launcher to trigger mechanisms and interact with objects across the island. Marshall, the team’s brave firedog, can shoot his water cannon to activate environmental elements, assisting dinos in distress. Skye, the courageous pilot, can deploy wings from her pup pack to explore hard-to-reach areas on the island. Players will also be able to seamlessly switch between pups and hop into their signature vehicles to explore the island, with additional playable pups, locations, and both new and familiar characters set to be revealed soon.

Exploration sits at the heart of the experience, with Dino Island offering a colourful, playful setting filled with opportunities to discover, interact and problem-solve. Whether playing solo or cooperatively, the game encourages teamwork, confidence and curiosity – key themes that have helped PAW Patrol® resonate with preschool audiences worldwide.

MARVEL FUTURE FIGHT KICKS OFF 11TH ANNIVERSARY PRE-REGISTRATION ALONGSIDE MARVEL RIVALS-INSPIRED UPDATE

LOS ANGELES – APRIL 8, 2026 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, kicks off the 11th Anniversary of its blockbuster mobile action RPG MARVEL Future Fight with pre-registration, special events and a new update inspired by Marvel Rivals for players worldwide.

A range of in-game events are scheduled to mark the 11th Anniversary. Beginning April 22, Agents who log in during the event period will receive rewards including a Selector: Tier-4 Character, Uniform Ticket and 11 Million Gold. Alongside the 11th Anniversary celebration, a new update inspired by Marvel Rivals has been released. The latest update adds a new playable character, Jeff the Land Shark (MARVEL RIVALS), who can be advanced to Tier-3 and Tier-4, along with new Ultimate and Striker skills. New uniforms inspired by Marvel Rivals are also included for Captain America and Venom, while Luna Snow and Moon Knight uniforms will be revealed at a later date.

The update also expands progression and combat systems. Players can now equip up to two pieces of Custom Gear per character, while Tier-4 Striker Skill usage has been improved for more flexible team compositions. Potential Awakening progression has been streamlined, allowing participating heroes to fully acquire Potential points after a single World Boss clear. Furthermore, early-stage tutorials and growth support content have been further refined.
