Slavic Folklore Comes to South Korea – Check Out the Bylina Demo at G-STAR 2024!

Bylina will be playable for the first time at G-STAR 2024, taking place from November 14-17

Prague, Czech Republic – November 13, 2024  – An epic adventure awaits in Busan this week, as Fulqrum Publishing and Far Far Games’  action RPG title Bylina will be playable for the first time at G-STAR 2024, where eager fans will be able to get hands-on with an early demo of the game, taking them on their first steps into a world inspired by Slavic myths and folktales.

Taking place from November 14-17 in the Bexco Exhibition Centre in Busan, South Korea, G-STAR 2024 is a global game exhibition that celebrates and promotes the advancement of both the domestic and global games industry.

Bylina, which will showcase its first-ever playable demo at the event, takes players on an epic journey to the Far Far Kingdom to challenge Koschei the Deathless to save your immortal soul and become a true hero. Take on the role of Falconet, a young bogatyr born without hero’s powers, shunned and underestimated by almost everyone around him. Conquer numerous ordeals, overcome insurmountable odds, and become a legendary hero whose tales will be told for ages to come.

Falconet dreams of following in the footsteps of his father, a fabled bogatyr – but during what seems like a simple task, he finds himself in the dark and mysterious Far Far Kingdom, where he meets his demise. To his surprise, the young hero is revived by a mysterious spirit with whom he must now share his body. Falconet faces three daunting tasks: reclaim control over his soul, uncover an ancient mystery surrounding his new companion, and save the world from imminent doom.

Bylina will be found at G-STAR from November 14-17 in A-16 (BTC Exhibition Hall 2, F06. G-STAR Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy powered by Steam), where attendees will find a demo build showcasing the earliest moments of Falconet’s journey.

And for those eagerly awaiting the full experience, Bylina will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.

New update available for “Pac-Man meets Lethal Company” comedy horror game Terrorbytes

Leap into a haunted arcade cabinet, now with ungodly new anomalies, bonus stages and more!

Vancouver, Canada, November 13th, 2024 – Publisher Over the Moon (The Fall, The Last Hero of Nostalgaia) and developer Treetop have today launched the first major update for their  4-player comedy horror game Terrorbytes on Steam Early Access. You can check out an all new trailer showcasing Terrorbytes’ retro arcade nightmarescape below:

Inspired by Tron, Stranger Things, and Lethal CompanyTerrorbytes follows four teenagers who get sucked into a haunted arcade cabinet and forced to gather pellets for the horrifically mangled retro arcade hero Ms. Croak-Man.

Terrorbytes features a nifty hook where all players share the same energy pool, which is used for all actions – even sprinting! So you’ve got to work as a team to collect pellets and keep your energy reserves in check, all while being hunted by arcade anomalies. There’s also plenty of cool upgrades and special items, ranging from a humble flashlight, to a satisfying power washer, to map-room upgrades that allow players to spawn helpful arrows, decoys, or broadcast their voice to other players. Can you survive long enough to uncover the mysterious evil that has trapped you, and escape?

This latest update offers enhanced performance boosts and adds two new remixed, damaged environments and two new anomalies. These include The Mannequin, which is your common “weeping angel” phantom who moves only when you’re not looking at it, and the Jester, who dances for you and really just wants attention. Or he gets frustrated and kills you. Figuring out what his whole deal is is something of a puzzle in itself!

Billy and Jimmy Lee join the fight, along with new free content for all players

Valencia, Calif. – November 12th, 2024 – The Double Dragons are back on the street! Independent game studio WayForward, in collaboration with Arc System Works, is excited to announce that the River City Girls 2 Double Dragon DLC is now available to purchase in the Americas and Europe, adding new playable characters and more on Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S at the price of $7.99. (The DLC will arrive on PC via Steam in the near future.)

A new launch trailer can be seen below:

Adding to the already robust cast and deep beat-’em-up gameplay of River City Girls 2, the Double Dragon DLC brings legendary martial arts brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee out of the dojos and back into action on the mean streets of River City. Each Lee brother has a unique moveset that includes a bone-breaking arsenal of punches, kicks, throws, and special moves, including many inspired by the bros’ 35-plus-year career, such as the spinning cyclone kick, rising knee, hyper uppercut, diving jump kick, and more.

Both Lee brothers are also fully integrated into River City Girls 2’s story mode, with all-new cinematic portraits and dialogue from returning voice actors Dan Avidan (Billy) and Arin Hanson (Jimmy) of the Game Grumps. Furthermore, the DLC adds an epic new Double Dragon rap song performed by Hanson and Avidan (with music by series composer Megan McDuffee), along with new dojo master Boro (originally from Double Dragon II: The Revenge) who performs sensei duties while Billy and Jimmy are out kickin’ yakuza butt.

In addition to the new premium content, a free update to River City Girls 2 is available for all players, providing a new Double Dragon themed motion comic, a Double Dragon inspired training dojo, the ability for all players to use the same character during online play, multiple color palettes for each playable character, and two new shops with new items — the “Season’s Beatings” seasonal shop, which offers a new, exclusive accessory every two months, and the “Devil’s Candy” shop, a crossover with the popular web comic of the same name. Miho, the “Season’s Beatings” proprietor, is voiced by beloved online creator Jaiden Dittfach (JaidenAnimations).

These new inclusions are on top of River City Girls 2’s already expansive feature set, which includes six existing playable characters, a massive world with eight regions, four-player co-op, online gameplay, personality-packed bosses, RPG-like character growth, recruits that aid you in battle, dozens of items and accessories, spectacular pixel-art graphics, an anime-style intro, and a critically acclaimed soundtrack. As IGN proclaimed upon the game’s release in December 2022, “with deep combat and a great city like this, kicking Yakuza teeth out will never get old.” For more information on River City Girls 2 and the rest of the River City Girls series, please visit www.wayforward.com and follow @wayforward on Twitter and Facebook.

EXPLOSIVE EXPANSION FOR MILLENNIA AVAILABLE  TODAY

4X Game Adds Nuclear Energy and New Strategic Options

STOCKHOLM – 12 November 2024 – Nuclear power points the way to a more productive but risky future in Atomic Ambitions, a new expansion to Millennia, a historical 4x game from C Prompt Studios and Paradox Interactive. Develop new sources of power and weapons of war, avoiding or embracing the challenges posed by new Variant and Crisis Ages.

Features of Millennia: Atomic Ambitions include:

  • Uranium and Pollution: Power your atomic dreams with a new resource – uranium – at the risk of accumulating nuclear waste. Pre-nuclear ages will see the accumulation of pollution and biological waste, challenging you to manage the outputs of a human society.
  • Age of Atom: A new Variant Age for Age 7, this timeline is inspired by early 20th-century imaginings of the future powered by atomic energy. Uranium is revealed on the map and waste-free reactors power your cities. Being too enthusiastic about the new technology runs the risk of meltdowns.
  • Age of Wasteland: This Crisis Age for Age 9 is a science fiction setting made real. In the aftermath of a global nuclear war, cities lay desolate and the terrain is decorated with the scars of catastrophe. Scavenge the remnants of civilization for resources, fight fierce raiders and rebuild your society faster than your enemies to claim victory.
  • DEFCON System: As the arms race heats up, keep rivals in line (and prevent panic amongst your population) by maintaining the largest nuclear arsenal. Tread carefully however, mistakes and aggressive actions can move the DEFCON level – maybe enough to trigger a global nuclear exchange.
  • Three New National Spirits: Take full advantage of the new Strategic Warfare system early through the Siege Master National Spirit, which focuses on building siege weapons like Ballistae and Siege Towers. The Nuclear Superiority National Spirit gives you tools to dominate militarily during the Arms Race. The Flower Child National Spirit allows you to try to oppose nuclear weapons and bring the world to its senses before things get out of hand.
  • Wasteland Start: Begin your game on a Wasteland map and relive the rise of civilization from a starting place more challenging than the Stone Age.
  • Strategic Warfare: Additional strategic warfare options.

Millennia: Atomic Ambitions is available now for the suggested retail price of $19.99/£16.99/€19.99. Atomic Ambitions is also available as a part of the Millennia Deluxe Edition.
