Today, Sony Computer Entertainment America announced via the official PlayStation Blog to that it is releasing a 250GB PS3 Slim in North America on November 3 for a suggested retail price of $349.99.
That’s just great, I just purchased the new SLIM with 120GB in it and now Sony comes along and announces a newer model with a bigger hard drive only 2 months after the Slims official release to the world.
This has been the seventh hardware configuration of the console in the US, following the 120GB, 160GB, 80GB, 40GB, 20GB, and 60GB models released since the platform’s 2006 launch.
No news as to when the SLIM will reach other shores such as Australia. So for now if your not in any rush for a PS3 .. hang till the new one makes its way down.

WWE Legend & Star Of Super Mario Bros : Captain Lou Albano Passes Away
Most of you younger readers might not even know who who Captain Lou Albano is, but if your a WWF/WWE hardcore wrestling fan and avid gamer you’d know all too well who Lou was.
Today sadly Lou Albano passed away at the age 76. It was reported that Albano suggered a heart attack in 2005 and today died under hospice care with his family present.
Lou Albano in his time was a successful wrestler and manager, he managed over 50 WWF/WWE Champions, also stared in Hulk Hogans’s Cartoon series : hulk hogan’s rock n wrestling, acted as Cyndi Lauper’s dad in various music videos, and portrayed Mario in Super Mario Bros Super Show from 1989-1990. (Which I must say he did a fantastic job)

Iam happy to announce that we’re doing an Xbox LIVE Update Preview program for upcoming features such as Zune, Facebook and Twitter. Much like we have done inthe past, you’ll need to visit the Microsoft Connect site from this link and sign in with your Windows LIVE ID that is connected to your Xbox LIVE Gamertag.
Once you do that, you need to fill out the “Xbox LIVE Update Preview Sign Up“ survey in order to be considered for receiving the Preview System Update. We’re asking a few questions about where you live, your home network, ISP connection and a few other pieces of information. We are looking for a good cross-section of our members in order to get the best feedback we can.
The Xbox team will then review all of the applications and if you’re selected we’ll send you an email notifying you of your acceptance in the program. A couple of points before you head off to register:

3D Dot Game Heroes for Playstation 3
3D Dot Game Heroes is .. hmm ok well how do I put .. Ok ..
A cross between 8bit sprites, legend of Zelda, 3D graphics and most importantly .. IN HD and on a next generation console !!
Phewww that was a mouthful. 3D Dot Game Heroes is developed by Japanese software developer : FromSoftware creators of other great games like Armored Core, Ninja Blade and Tenchu.
3D Dot Game Heroes so far is looking very interesting. At the moment it is scheduled for release in Japan on the PS3 on November 5th.
From the gameplay trailer it reminds me very much of the classic Legend Of Zelda on the Super Nintendo. This is probably FromSoftware’s main goal and if so they have done a great job at doing so.
There is no news at the moment if 3D Dot Heroes will make it out of Japan and onto English speaking store shelves. But I for one would love to see that happen. I will do my best to try and get an update from FromSoftware in the coming weeks.

Shadow Complex interesting fact
A nice piece of information regarding Shadow Complex
The complex metroid style map design was first created by the Chair team on paper. Pretty impressive as all hidden secret areas along with all the other cool stuff were first drawn in fine detail.
Take a look at the design sheet. It feels like a huge Dungeon’s & Dragon’s underground mapping system created by a bunch of geeky dudes in the basement somewhere 😉
