Assassin’s Creed: Revelations confirmed for November release

Ubisoft has stopped beating around the bush and finally made it official. Or at least they have made it official to Game Informer as June’s issue will contain information regarding Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. It seems that the game will temporarily place both Ezio and Altair together somehow and Ubisoft also says that this title will spell the end of Ezio’s storyline when it is released in November.

Revelations is set to answer a lot of questions about the game’s plotline and is spread out between three different playable characters including Ezio, Altair and Desmond from the modern day. The title is going to include the multiplayer aspect with plenty of new additions including a new climbing hook of some sort as you can see in the picture above. Expect more information soon from Ubisoft.

Catherine’s latest screens share the characters’ thoughts

Atlus released a batch of eight different screenshots today showing a number of different characters from the title voicing their thoughts about relationships and cheating. We see Vincent, Catherine, Orlando and Johnny each putting in their two cents, as well as a sheep but he’s talking about something different.

Besides seeing some more of the other characters we also are treated to a gameplay shot showing the English interface that players will see as they climb up the towers to avoid death. With the main characters voiced by some recognizable talent Catherine is more than just a pretty face. And we’ll see much more than that when the title releases on July 26th for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in a normal package as well as a Love is Over Deluxe Edition.

Watch out for shrinkage while playing Duke Nukem Forever

What? No it isn’t what you are thinking. But I wouldn’t put it past the Duke. Moving on, Gearbox and 2KGames have released a new trailer for Duke Nukem Forever and this time around it shows how Duke can be affected by a piece of technology that the aliens brought with them that causes anything to step on it to shrink.

The video lets us see the pint-sized Duke doing battle against full size enemies as well as miniature enemies in a variety of locations. Also it doesn’t help that all the ladies are now finding the mini-Duke completely irresistible. But who couldn’t love a tiny Duke of their own huh? At least we will all have a chance to own Duke Nukem Forever next month when it releases on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Brink’s last “Get Smart” video walks us through the battlefield

Bethesda has released the final entry into their Get Smart series of videos aimed at teaching potential players the basics of everything in the game’s multiplayer. The final video gives us a walkthrough of the different areas we will encounter on a battlefield, including the command centers and turret emplacements.

The turrets in particular look interesting as it will help prevent spawn camping of enemies because they look quite deadly. Player placed turrets also look like they will be useful for a team to lay down. But of course this means you have to level up enough before you can even use these special skills. Then again if you have watched all of the videos so far then you should know that. With the final tutorial video released today we only have a few days left until Brink’s May 10th release date on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

RAGE’s Shrouded trailer gives us five minutes of gameplay footage

If you are eager to get a taste of what Bethesda’s upcoming apocalyptic shooter will be like then you should take a gander down below. Bethesda has released a new trailer called “The Shrouded” that shows us five minutes of uninterrupted gameplay footage. It shows segments of a mission that was assigned to the player so that they must stop the bomb making activities of a gang called The Shrouded.

In the footage we see plenty of action including a very determined Sentry Bot that sets out after its target through any means necessary which will make it a very useful ally to have considering how deadly the thing looks. Also does it help that the sentry bot looks like a large robotic spider? I believe that it does.

Sega Whack out Commercial for Virtua Tennis 4…

Virtua Tennis 4 arrives on May 10th on the Xbox 360, PS3 & Wii in the states, but to hold all of the tennis fanatics over until then,  Sega have now released the official commercial for the title for the PS3 version of the game. Now the clip mainly just shows a few lads jumping all over the place, armed with Move remotes in hand and dramatic expressions displayed on their faces while smashing it out on the courts in the game, but everything looks pretty fluent and fun from the looks of things (they are just asking for a broken TV though).

You can watch the clip below and pick up a copy of the game and make your own face of destruction when Virtua Tennis 4 releases next week.

Sega Saturn Classic “Guardian Heroes” Coming to the XBLA this Fall!

Sega have been incredibly generous in bringing their classic titles to the Xbox Live Arcade, but now those who have been trying to hunt down the hard to find and highly sought after Guardian Heroes can rejoice as the company has now announced a full HD port loaded with extras will be hitting the download service this fall. Now if you didn’t have a chance to play Guardian Heroes for the Saturn, it was an action RPG with a side-scrolling presentation that was originally co-developed by Treasure along with Sega in 1996.

Sega have released this statement for the announcement of the upcoming port:

“Ever since we began to make SEGA’s classic Dreamcast and the Mega Drive titles available for modern systems, the fan response has been overwhelming – and the demand for their favorite games has been pouring in,” said Haruki Satomi, VP of Digital Business at SEGA. “Players have been clamoring for this treasured favorite from the Saturn days, and we cannot wait to show them what we have got for them.”

Features Include:

  • Action-RPG Brawling: Choose one of five heroes to level up and guide along a branching storyline with five different endings
  • Friends, Foes, and Fighters: Play the game’s Story Mode alone or with a second player, or challenge Versus Mode with up to 12 players at once
  • Extended Gameplay: Time Attack Mode, Arcade Mode, Arrange Mode and more allow players to explore every nuance of 45 different fighters
  • Fully Re-Mastered: All-new graphics and visual effects bring the classic to life in a completely high-definition, widescreen presentation

Say what you will about Sega, but they know how to treat the gamers that made put them where they are today. With that said, it is going to require a lot of patience to make it until fall.

Sony hires P.I, Class Action lawsuits squashed

I know all the Sony news is getting monotonous with some sites flooded with fanboys of Sony and Hackers alike but i found this quite interesting. According to very reputable sources, being the NY, LA times and Reuters, Sony has retained the services of outside forces in a bid to find those responsible for their network breach. Data Forte, headed by an ex special agent of the US NAVAL criminal squad will work alongside the FBI to try and clean up Sonys networks and catch the hackers. In addition to these organisations, cybersecurity experts Guidance Software and risk consultants Protivi’s services have also been sourced.

In a letter from a US Senator, Sony was questioned about the breach, requesting detailed information regarding the potential personal data that may be lost as well and more specifically when they became aware of the enormous risk the situation posed. The information collected may decide whether Sony may be just civilly liable or face criminal charges. The total number of accounts and credit card that may be compromised may exceed 100 million.

As already reported on Capsule Computers, a Toronto law firm has proposed a class action law firm against Sony for 1 billion dollars US naming Natasha Maksimovic, a psn user as the lead plaintiff, but………………… in another ruling the Supreme Court of California has set a precedent by ruling that companies can force customers to arbitrate their complaints separately and not as a group. The case in question is AT & T Motility Vs Concepcion, and stems from a disgruntled couples dispute over a $30 charge. While the California courts condone class action lawsuits, the Supreme Court does not, making it very hard for you and me to argue smaller cases against major corporations. It will also be very hard to find representation for what will become insignificant individual suits.

What does all this mean for Sony? Well firstly the Toronto law firm may have to rethink its case depending on where the hearings are to be set. If every individual person who has lost money through Sonys network breach had to fund and front the case themselves Sony can breathe a sigh of relief as I can’t imagine a lot of people having the time, effort or money. Also their pending Other OS lawsuits may also disappear if each disgruntled PS3 Linux user had to take out individual suits. Be interesting to see which way this goes and how it all works out for them.

Learn How to Save Eden with this new trailer…

Another day, another Child of Eden Trailer. Though this time, Ubisoft have released a clip not just showing off the stunning visuals or gameplay, but how to actually play the game itself. As many of you are aware by now, Eden is completely motion-based and the video simply shows how this will work when actually controlling your reticle on the screen to fire. Simply highlight multiple targets with your motions and with the flick of a hand, you will see each destroyed seamlessly.

Child of Eden still has around a month before it actually hits shelves, but from what we have seen so far it is looking to not only live up to the hype of being one of the Kinect’s best titles, but it also seems that this will certainly be a worthy successor to the cult favorite, Rez. Watch the trailer below to view this tutorial of sorts and as we get closer to the June 14th release date, we will continue our coverage for Child of Eden so stay tuned!
