Mugen Souls screenshots give us a quick look at the title

There was much excitement when it was announced that Keiji Inafune, former Capcom development head, would be working on a new PS3 RPG for Compile Hearts. However it seems that it is actually someone known as New Keiji Inafune and he is working with Compile Hears to create a PS3 RPG known as Mugen Souls.

Mugen Souls will follow the story of a girl known as Shu Shu Infinite who is able to change not only her form but also her personality. She travels the world stealing ships and in battle players can do insane amounts of damage, numbering in the quadrillions. Check out the screenshots which were released on Amazon Japan earlier today. Any guesses as to which, if any, company would localize this for North America?

Rufus to join the roster of Street Fighter X Tekken

While he was teased last month, there was no official announcement about everyone’s favorite fat man from Street Fighter, Rufus, joining the character roster. But that has all changed at New York Comic Con where Capcom’s producer Yoshinori Ono revealed that Rufus would indeed by a fighter available in Street Fighter X Tekken.

Along with this announcement the above screenshot was released to show off the character fighting against Tekken’s fat man Bob. Though if they were actually teamed up it would most certainly be the largest team in the game… Yoshinori Ono went on to say that there are plenty of more characters to be revealed in the future, though there most likely will not be any more revealed at NYCC.

Football Manager 2012 Pre-order Bonuses

Sports Interactive and SEGA have announced that if you pre-order Football Manager 2012 from Steam, you will receive various goodies free from the Team Fortress 2 store. The items include football boots, scarves and a vuvuzela sound pack, and will be available to all.

“When Steam and Valve came to us with this collaboration idea, it just underlined to us why we think they’re brilliant”, said Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at Sports Interactive.

“Outside the box thinking that just works so well. We Hope all the Team Fortress 2 players enjoy using the items inside the game, and apologise in advance for the general annoyance the Vuvuzela sound pack is going to inflict on the world.”

GameStop to provide Online passes for used purchases of Batman: Arkham City

Well well well… yesterday Warner Brothers revealed that there would be an online pass for Batman: Akrham City and without it players would not be able to play as Catwoman at all, including four story missions. It seems that GameStop just didn’t like this policy and is going to offer all consumers who purchase used copies an online pass for Catwoman.

The news comes from a memo obtained by HotBloodedGaming that was sent out to GameStop stores saying that all pre-owned customers would get codes. How exactly GameStop is going to be giving out these codes is not known, whether or not if they will be paying Warner Bros anything or if this is just a retailer taking a stand for consumers against online passes.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron trailer morphs out of NYCC

Today a teaser trailer was released for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron which is about as teaserish as possible. The trailer comes from New York Comic Con and is quite short, full of static, mostly black and white but provides everything a die-hard transformers fan would love. Namely it contains footage pretty much only of a certain dinobot seen above.

Yep, it seems that Grimlocke is making a full return in Fall of Cybertron and High Moon Studios is making the best of the characters popularity. Now they just need to make him sound the same as everyone remembers and the game will certainly be something fans will look forward to without showing anymore actual footage. Catch the video below.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution ‘Missing Link’ DLC releasing next week

Many mysteries surround Deus Ex: Human Revolution and one of those was when exactly fans could expect “The Missing Link” DLC to be released for fans. It was previously said that the DLC would be released sometime in October and it turns out that it will indeed be. In fact it will be released next week on October 18th according to Eidos Montreal’s Twitter.

Unfortunately for some, the price of the DLC on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC is going to cost 1200 MSP or $14.99 depending on your platform of choice. Still, with content upwards of six hours of extra play time, $15 is still a relatively easy price to pay. Will you be picking up this DLC to augment your Deus Ex experience?

Blizzard auctioning off server blades for children’s charity

If you are a die hard fan of World of Warcraft or even just want to help support some charities then Blizzard has something for you to keep an eye on. Blizzard will be auctioning off 2,000 server blades which used to house everything in the entire MMO world of World of Warcraft. This means that if you purchase one of these blades, you’ll end up owning hundreds of thousands of hours of time that people used to spend playing on it virtually.

All the money that is raised through the auctions will go to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. If you like you can also bid towards specific realm blades so you could potentially own a blade your own character used to exist on digitally. Each blade is going to be in a windowed case with the WoW logo. The auctions will start on eBay on October 17th so best get your money ready.

Manniversary Update celebrated for Team Fortress 2

A year ago Valve intorduced a store system in Team Fortress 2 which made it so players could buy virtual items for real world money, which also allowed players to create their own items on the game and make their own money from would-by buyers. Besides buying things for money they could also make trades with other players.

This update adds in the Steam Workshop, a feature designed specifically for item creators. The workshop is “an improved item submission system that allows community item-creators to test, share and track the status of their creations.” This is a great little feature it seems, and considering the fact that $2 million were made last year from in-game sales alone, this will certainly help.

Besides the workshop, 30 new hats have been added as well as an item decal system, a week long “try before you buy” item tryout feature as well as a whole bunch of other things. Plus on October 17th everything in the Mann Co. Store is going to be on sale. Good things all around for Team Fortress 2 fans.
