While Capcom have already announced both Nova and Phoenix Wright’s inclusion for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, new trailers and screenshots have arisen to show just how these characters will play. The most interesting inclusion for UMvC3 has been the Ace Attorney himeself, and it looks like Phoenix Wright will bring his same antics from the courtroom into battle as his trademark shouts (OBJECTION!) will be used to bring justice to all of his opponents.
On the Marvel Side, Nova has also been given some love with his own unique trailer. Now I’m not too familiar with Nova as of yet as I’ve never read the comics, but this character looks to be one of speed and close combat as he is seen delivering some thunderous blows to his opponents.
If you live in the New York area, you will be pleased to know that both characters will be playable on the floor this week at New York Comic-Con. You can check out both trailers as well the new set of screens for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 down below.
After recently acquiring an iPad I find myself the owner of an all Apple family consisting of an iPhone, iPad, iMac and Macbook. If Apple starts making appliances I’ll probably own those as well (though not until the reviews pan out, I’m not that insane). The only Microsoft product I own is an Xbox, I’m just waiting for Apple to team up with a console (I’m kidding, and also if they did it would probably be Nintendo).
With the iOS 5 and the iCloud integration system coming out, it looks like Apple is turning into a lifestyle instead of just some pieces of tech. And, in the perfect example, I have this Apple lifestyle. I wasn’t always like this though, I promise, in fact the Apple fever only started recently.
I was always a huge PC backer, I laughed at Apple people and their lack of games. I had experience with the big colourful boxes when I was a kid and I hated them and their whole way of doing things, I was firmly into my dislike of change at that point. Then Vista happened. A little while later (around four years ago now) I found myself needing a new computer because my old one had a virus (not from porn, at least I don’t think so) and to get XP on a new desktop meant I had to either settle for an old machine or pay more. As a Jewsian I not only want a cheaper product, but I want a fairly decent quality product, so both those options went against my life philosophies. Then the sales guy dragged my mother and I over to the pretty, pretty iMacs. They were relatively cheap, had far less processing power but they didn’t need as much so it kind of balanced out, inbuilt cam, no tower, and just so, so pretty.
I took my pretty iMac home and started playing with it. First off, I couldn’t find the internet browser and didn’t have the internet browser capable phone to Google what it was. But after overcoming that little hurdle I got to business. I hated the Mac version of MSN Messenger, but the rest of Microsoft Office was dealable, and then came the long love affair with Apple.
A year ago I signed up for an iPhone 3GS, then half a year ago I bought a Macbook (old but reliable and funnily enough more highly powered than my iMac), and so on.
But I don’t just like Apple cos it’s pretty. That wouldn’t be enough to make me stick around through the lack of decent games (although, thank God that is changing), it’s the integration and the way that it basically tries to make your life just that bit simpler.
For example, I wasn’t aware of this, but after buying my Macbook I saw that in Finder (file browser) I could connect to my iMac wirelessly. I didn’t need to install software, adjust network settings, or even go to effort to find it, my iMac was just calmly chilling out in the sidebar of Finder.
Not only can I transfer files back and forth over my network, but I can also share screens with it and control it remotely. Which has led to more than a few pranks on my part if anyone’s using the iMac at the same time.
Then we come to the portable Apple products. These days there are apps that utilise two iPhones or iTouches as controllers and an iPad as the screen (off the top of my head, Fifa 12 and Scrabble). Basically this says to people that own an iPad without the smaller devices, ‘why?’.
There’s a reason Apple is going to take over the world if people let them, and it’s not because Apple is pretty or that they have superior tech (which I will be the very first to admit they don’t), but it’s because they push the boundaries and that the way they design their products is to fit with the rest of their products. So once you buy one, you tend to buy another and another, until pretty soon you’re like me.
Arkham City has thrown in it’s cowl with fellow heavy hitters Uncharted and Mass Effect and officially joined the ‘Online Pass’ craze. Retail copies of the game will be able to access the Catwoman content via a code included, but as per usual anyone who buys a preowned copy or rents the title will have to cough up some cash to access it.
So what content is on the line here? Four story scenes with Catwoman as the playable character, and access to her for the Riddler’s Revenge challenge mode. Warner Bros. have said that the content is not necessary to completing the game, and players without it will still encounter Catwoman as part of the story. That’s not likely to reassure many though, as Catwoman’s inclusion as a playable character isn’t exactly a minor addition.
The price for this is tying in with the rest of the pack – 800 Microsoft Points for the 360, equivalent to $9.99 for the PS3.
It seems that this is the new weapon of choice for publisher’s in their battle against the second hand games market – adding a $10 fee to every second hand purchase.

Tecmo Koei released a whole bunch of screenshots for Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends which you can see below. Believe me, this gallery shows off pretty much anything you want to see in this new PlayStation 3 exclusive Dynasty Warriors title. To top it off they have also released a gameplay video that focuses on showing off the abilities of a new character named Wang Yi.
Wang Yi appears to use a pair of sai, though quite large ones at that. You can see her show off her moves below and expect to see much more of the title as the release is just a little more than a month away at this point.
If you thought that the Men in Black movie franchise was dead and gone then you are just living in a world where you have already been flashed by a neuralyzer. Well not really, because as far as I know, not many people realize that there is a Men in Black III in the works and it is set to be released sometime next year. But one company knows about it.
Activision has announced that they will be working on a Men in Black game to coincide with the release of the movie. Not much information was given at the time of announcement, besides that it will be released on both consoles and handhelds. Also the above screenshot was released so there is that. Who’s excited to see if they can recreate what we loved about the first two Men in Black movies in video game format?
While a few games have been announced to make use of the 3DS Slide Pad, none of them are as prevalent in the West as Resident Evil: Revelations. When it was announced that Resident Evil: Revelations would make use of the attachment which adds another control pad, fans were apprehensive as to what they should expect if they didn’t feel like shelling out the extra $20 for the attachment.
Famitsu revealed that the extra circle pad would be used simply for aiming in the title. The left pad will be used for moving and the right for turning and aiming. This is extremely underwhelming and seems like something that only people who desperately want two circle pads will want to purchase. Perhaps some future titles will make better use of the attachment…

It was ten years ago this month that ‘Grand Theft Auto III’ single handily revolutionised the open-world genre, and the face of gaming itself. For the first time ever, Grand Theft Auto III allowed players to explore and wreaked havoc a full 3D, sprawling metropolis of Liberty City. To commemorate the game’s 10th anniversary Rockstar Games have today announced that Grand Theft Auto III: 10th Anniversary Edition will be coming to select iOS and Android devices.
Rockstar Games is also set to releases a limited-edition 1:6 scale action figure of the mute protagonist Claude. The figurine comes dressed in the iconic cargo pants and a bomber jacket and can also support a Liberty City Prison-issued jumpsuit. An arsenal of classic weapons from Grand Theft Auto III: bat, knife, grenades, pistol, sniper rifle, and assault rifle, are of cause included.
Grand Theft Auto: 10th Anniversary Edition will be released later this year for mobile devices. In the meantime, pre-orders for the limited-edition Claude action figure can be made at theRockstar Warehouse.
Supported Devices:
Apple iOS Devices:iPad 2, iPhone 4S
Android Phones:Droid X2, HTC Evo 2, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix, Samsung Galaxy S2
Who hasn’t wanted to control a hoard of a hundred angry manic goblins, hell bent on annihilating their enemies on their quest to reclaim the King of Hell’s throne. Well Square Enix certainly had any such Playstation Vita players in mind as they announced Army Corps of Hell as an exclusive Vita title.
Developed by Entersphere Inc., Army Corps of Hell features vicious combat and dark black humour all of which add to the intense action that requires lightning reflexes. The team over at Square Enix are also clearly very excited about this title saying,
“Army Corps of Hell is an exciting new title for us, and we’re thrilled to be bringing it to the PlayStation Vita exclusively,” said Sarah Hoeksma, vice president of brand for Square Enix Ltd., “The team at Entersphere is creating a unique experience which will really stand out from the other titles coming to the PlayStation Vita in the launch window”.
After watching the trailer this game looks like it has a huge amount of potential to be exceptionally challenging, give you a good power trip as you command and lead your minions, as well as having a quirky feel and nice bright colourful visuals. Enjoy and let us know what you think.
