Metal Gear Solid HD To Go Digital

0

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will see a release on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and the Playstation Vita. However, it seems that the collection will also go digital as release and pricing for the collection was revealed for the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

It seems that, in the digital realm, the Playstation brand will have the collection as a timed exclusive. Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker HD will be released first on November 10 at the price of 4,480 yen. A couple of weeks later, on November 23, both Metal Gear Solid 2 HD and Metal Gear Solid 3 HD will be released with the price tag of 3,480 yen each. The packaged collection will be priced at 4,980 yen (minus Peace Walker HD). Xbox Live should see all three games in 2012 in Japan.

No pricing and release date was revealed for North America, Europe and Australia, but the collection is heading to the West in 2012 with Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Peace Walker, all in HD and 3D. So, if there is a digital release, it should be close to release date next year.

Goblin Classes in Army Corps of Hell

In Army Corps of Hell, the player will control an army of goblin-like characters that are under command of a grand demon. These goblins, like any army out there, have different classes and roles to perform. Square Enix has released three different trailers showcasing three different classes for the goblins.

The first trailer sees goblins as warriors, with small swords and causing some close-combat destruction. The second trailer showcases the goblins as lancers, who seem to be charging into the enemy with pointed spears. The third trailer looks at the goblins as wizards, casting various spells. All classes are distinguished by the colour of the goblin skin. Each trailer is accompanied by a rocking metal soundtrack. A great combination considering the context of the game.

Army Corps of Hell will launch on the 17th of December 2011 in Japan and the 22nd of February 2012 in North America and Europe. It will be a launch title for all regions. For all three trailers, click here for the Warrior, click here for the Lancer and click here for the Wizard.

NBA 2K12: Legends Showcase DLC

2K Sports have just announced the release of the downloadable add-on to NBA 2K12, the Legends Showcase. This isn’t just any ordinary DLC, it’s almost an entire new game mode for you to play.

Set in New York’s Time Square, this add-on enables gamers to select from 150 of the NBA’s greatest including MJ, Magic Johnson and Dr. J, and place them in pick-up games, H-O-R-S-E, 21 and other game variations. You can also choose a current player to see how they would fare against the Greatest. Additionally, the add-on will include “Classic Quick Match”, which allows gamers to use the NBA’s Greatest teams online.

Unfortunately this add-on doesn’t come free, costing 800 MS Points for 360 users and around 10 bucks for PS3 users depending where you’re located. The download will be available this upcoming holiday season. Do you think you’ll be downloading this? Let us know in the comments below.

A Trailer for Girl with a Heart of

No, I haven’t missed out a bit of the title. Girl with a Heart of.

Billed as an interactive story rather than a game, Girl with a Heart of is the first commercial title to be published by indie developer Bent Spoon Games. This is definitely going to be a niche title, promising a ‘thought provoking parable’ for the PC, Mac, iOS and Android.

In a subterranean city inhabited by the Dark race, an eleven year old girl with an artificial heart becomes separated from her family during a vicious attack by the Light’s army. The girl, named Raven, discovers that she is to play a major part in the global conflict because of her heart, and must master her strength and make world affecting choices as the conflict ensues.

“When you continuously try to improve yourself — and, by doing this,
continuously get better at improving yourself — no boundary can hold
you back. That’s what recursive self-improvement and Girl with a Heart of are
all about,”

Alexei Andreev, the game’s developer and founder
of Bent Spoon Games

Set in a world where darkness, not light, is the primary life source, Girl with a Heart of looks genuinely intriguing. The world needs more thought provoking games so here’s hoping the story and execution are strong enough to make it a hit. Girl with a Heart of will be released on November 17 this year, so keep an eye out for the review here at Capsule Computers.

Divert the bug apocalypse with 1000 Tiny Claws

Unleash hell with a genuine cursed sword!

Whatever else 1000 Tiny Claws may say, it had me at that. A Playstation Mini by Mediatonic (Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess and Who’s That Flying?! ), it’s out today for $ £1.99, 2.49 and $3.49 on the Playstation Network.

The 1000 Tiny Claws come in the form of a horde of apocalypse bringing insects. Rana is a sky pirate tasked with turning them all to so many splats on the ground by forcing them off of their islands in the sky. Part of a pirate crew blamed for unleashing the critters, Rana must prove herself the ultimate pirate pest controller before her crewmates fall victim to the hangman’s noose.

There are 12 unique enemies to take on, with 3 galleon sized bosses for Rana to send flying. The twenty five challenge mode stages will be accompanied by five survival mode levels. Despite the slightly straight to DVD horror name, 1000 Tiny Claws looks like it will bring plenty of upbeat character to the table, so check out the trailer below if you fancy sending some bugs to their doom. Yarr.

Shinobido, Ridge Racer and Touch My Katamari will be launch titles for PlayStation Vita in West

Not only were gamers and press surprised when Sony decided to announce the worldwide release dates for the PlayStation Vita at the often ignored Web 2.0 Summit, but publishers and developers most likely were as well. While other companies have said that their titles will be launch titles when the Vita is released, none of them have made any further announcement now that the Vita does have a launch date.

Until now that is, as today Namco Bandai has placed a February 22nd release date on three of their launch titles. These games are Ridge Racer, Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen, and the new Katamari game which is named Touch My Katamari for us Westerners. These release dates count for North America and Europe as well, plus since these titles will also be sold digitally at the same time as retail release, you can try out your new Vita’s download capability as well.

Iria Animi re-introduced in latest Tales of Innocence R trailer

In an effort to promote their PlayStation Vita remake of Tales of Innocence, which Namco Bandai has decided to call Tales of Innocence R. The latest character to be re-introduced from the old cast of characters is Iria Animi, a hotblooded female fighter who uses two pistols to deal with enemies when she is combat.

You can see the video below, but of course the video is in Japanese so it would be best to simply watch the video and see how she will play in combat, and then take a shot and guess what she is saying in the latter half of the video.
