The console version of Mortal Kombat sold over three million units last year and won numerous awards. So it’s no wonder than that NetherRealm Studios has today confirmed a port version of the ultra-violent fighting game will be coming to the Playstation Vita.

The PS Vita version of Mortal Kombat will have all content featured in its console counterpart such as Tag Team, Challenge Tower, Story Mode and of cause X-ray moves.  But it will also be modified and enhanced for on-the-go gaming and will feature brand new gameplay (Mostly likely unitising the Vita’s touch screens).

These features will be revealed in the coming months closer to the game’s launch sometime in Spring 2012.

Max Payne 3 Officially Dated

Rockstar Games have officially announced the release date of Max Panye 3. Up until this point all we knew was that the game was coming out (thankfully) but sometime in March, but we didn’t exactly know when. Well now it seems the game has been delayed by a couple of months. But we at least now have an offical release date, and some good and bad news.

The good news is that Max Payne 3 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 will be released on May 15 in North American and internationally three days later on May 18. However, if you’re a PC gamer, the PC version of Max Payne 3 is set to be released on May 29 in North American and June 1 internationally. Only two weeks after its console counterparts.

Galaxy on Fire 2 goes Supernova

Galaxy on Fire 2 – Supernova has been announced, giving a second add-on to the super popular sci-fi saga. Galaxy on Fire follows badass space adventurer and mercenary Keith T. Maxwell resident ass-kicker and name-taker.

Supernova will start where the first add-on Valkyrie ended, however the foxus will shift so that it is more on the struggle between the Nivelian Republic and Midorian Confederation. You will have to face a vast range of challenges and new missions to take on with Mr Maxwell, so strap yourselves in!

Fishlabs CEO Michael Schade had the following to say about Galaxy on Fire 2 – Supernova:

Supernova will not only be more cinematic and more varied, but also at least twice as long as Valkyrie. We’ve put a lot of time and effort into the writing of the complex new storyline, which includes a lot of new mission types and makes for a truly outstanding gaming experience. But also the graphics and the sound design will be absolutely top-notch! When it comes to Supernova, the name really is the game!

Galaxy on Fire 2 – Supernova is set to be released in the second quarter of 2012 on the iPhone, iPad and iTouch. Make sure to keep tuned to Capsule Computers for any new information on the add-on, what to expect, and if it’s going to live up to the previous installments.

Surprise Attack to Enter the Market

Surprise Attack has announced that its beta trial has been successful, with ten games on schedule for release in the first half of the year. Because betas aren’t just for games, you know. Surprise Attack is aiming to launch 20-25 games during 2012, with most expected to be on mobile and tablets, which isn’t really a surprise given the rapidly expanding nature of the mobile gaming market.

Surprise Attack was launched in October 2011 by Chris Wright, the former THQ senior marketing executive, and worked on campaigns for free. Of the beta period he had this to say:

“One of our key learnings from the beta was that there is huge demand for the kind of services we offer,” said Chris Wright, founder of Surprise Attack. “We spoke with around 50 developers during the beta period. A common trend was that they know they need help with marketing their games but a great many don’t want to sign up with a publisher – they want to build their studio brand and have more control over the marketing.”
