I Am Alive Survival Trailer Released

Upcoming survival game, I Am Alive, has had a new trailer released for it from publisher Ubisoft. The trailer showcases many of the environments that players must traverse in order to stay alive and advance through the game.

The unique looking and sounding title is set to be released on the 7th of March and is set in the post apocalyptic city of Haventon, USA. Of course, this is a fictional city, but it is a very interesting set-piece for the kind of game that this is.

Shank 2 – Out Now!

Klei Entertainment and EA released the newest game in the Shank series, Shank 2 earlier today. Shank 2 is described as a cinematic two-dimensional brawler and is now released for the PC, Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network.

So be sure to pick up this title at the nearest opportunity and make sure to check out the official site to determine if this is the right game for you.

Rumour: LittleBigPlanet Kart Racing Game?

If a tweet is led to believed, then we can expect another kart racing game, but it won’t be another Modnation Racers. In fact, this kart racer will be set within the Little Big Planet world. This unusual tweet came from Canadian retailer Future Shop during Destination Playstation 2012, which is currently running in Arizona. This is what the tweet said:

@FS_Gamer at #Playstation Destination Little Big Planet Cart racing announced for ps3. Move compatible wheel and 3D capable!

If that wasn’t enough, the claim has more credibility than you might think. Below is a banner ad that shows “Little Big Planet Karting” and it is going to be released on the Playstation 3. It is unknown whether it is fake or not, but, considering the amount of time required to make this banner, surely it can not be a fake.

As one can see, the banner has screenshots and the slogan “Play, Create, Share,” which is usually attached to every Little Big Planet game. However, it does raise one important question: What happens to Modnation Racer? Will it die out or run parallel to another Little Big Planet game? What do you think of the rumour and do you believe it will hurt Modnation Racer? Why don’t you document your thoughts below.

Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge available now!

If you’ve been living under a rock then perhaps it is time to switch to living under a bridge. I mean, if you were to move under the bridge that spans over the Arakawa river then just look at all the interesting people you will be able to meet down there.

There is a guitarist who wears a star on his head, a towering man who dresses as a nun, a man who won’t come out of a kappa suit and even more. I suppose living under a bridge like that just attracts a whole bunch of nutty people. If you don’t feel like moving under a bridge however, you can always just watch the antics of those who do with NIS America’s Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge, the second season of Arakawa Under the Bridge. It can be picked up at NIS America’s online store and those interested in seeing the first half can check out our review of it here.

Ace Attorney 123HD screens for the iOS

Ace Attorney 123HD has just arrived at the Japanese iOS store.  The game is a HD remaster of the first three games in the popular Ace Attorney series. Unfortunately, the release is strictly Japanese at this point with no current plans for a localisation. An Android version is also set to be released sometime in 2012.

The HD remasters retain the style and look of the Nintendo DS versions, but offer much cleaner visuals. It also allows players to play all three games using a DS style interface.

While there are no plans to localise the HD remasters, bear in mind that that Capcom did release the iOS port of the first Ace Attorney game in Western regions back in 2010, so one can still hope.

Gaze at a beautiful batch of Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland screenshots

Untitled-01-78

It has been a little over a month since we last heard news of Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland, and NIS America has decided the best way to keep the pink haired apprentice in our thoughts is to release a huge batch of screenshots in English.

All of the screenshots can be seen below, which show everything from battles, to creating items with alchemy, conversations among characters and even the title screen in case you are wondering how it will look when you pop the game into your PlayStation 3 when it is released in May. As you can see, Atelier Meruru will retain the charming aesthetic of the past Atelier titles which is an immediate plus.

No information about the game or its features are available at this stage, but apparently NamcoBandai have some big things planned. Also at the very same event, they will be showing off the latest version of their popular Gundam versus game, Gundam Extreme Versus Full Boost.

It will be interesting to see what NamcoBandai has in store for Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and it’s highly likely that the eventual console version of the game will be based on New Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

PC gamers rejoice! Bethesda’s long-awaited Creation Kit has been released for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Those who download the free Creation kit will also be able to enjoy a special surprise, a High-Resolution Texture Pack for Skyrim.

Skyrim’s Creation Kit will make use of the Steam Workshop which will act as a “central hub of player-created content and tools to publish, organize, and download that content into your games.” To kick things off, Valve and Bethesda have teamed up together to bring gamers the above Space Sphere mod, which brings the space-loving robot sphere from portal 2 into the game.
