Ubisoft’s E3 Wii U Line Up

Ubisoft are one of the world’s biggest video game companies out and they are in full support of Nintendo’s Wii U.  Ubisoft appears to be nothing but enthusiastic with high hopes for the console. Their titles for release cover a wide variety of genres and tend to think outside the box when it comes to bringing players new gaming experiences unlike anything ever before. At This year’s E3 Press Conference 2012 Ubisoft announced the following titles for Wii U:

  • Assassin’s Creed 3
  • Just Dance 4
  • Rayman Legends
  • ZombiU
  • YourShape Fitness Evolved 2013
  • Rabbids Land
  • Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth
  • Sports Connection

Also to make sure to check out all the other fantastic titles coming to Wii U as well!

Which ones are you planning to pick up? Make sure you check out the trailer below and see them for yourself!

E3: 2012 SiNG (Working Title) Impressions

The music and singing game trend continues with Nintendo’s Press Conference at E3 2012 as Nintendo announced their 1st Party music game SiNG.  While it is just a working title right now, SiNG is set to make the players more a part of the action then just reading what is on the screen by having the lyrics come up on the Gamepad.  The trailer, which players can view below, shows it off a little bit cheesier with the friends apparently really getting into it and singing the back-up sections, but none-the-less present a much different style of karaoke game for home use.

While the trailer hypes it up a bit higher than probably necessary, the idea is solid.  Since SiNG is still a working title hopefully they can add a lot more to the game or maybe they will just keep it the separate screen karaoke setup, which would be useful for anyone interested in that sort of thing, as it is much closer to that kind of experience.  We’ll probably hear more from this title later, though maybe as Wii SiNG or U SiNG, etc.

Razer Artemis Detailed at E3

Razer are building a concept controller for Piranha games upcoming Mechwarrior Online. This control pad/keyboard looking thing looks amazing and is being labelled the Razer Artemis Concept Controller. Mechwarrior Online is the latest in the Mechwarrior series of games appearing on the PC.

“The original MechWarrior PC game franchise was a formative milestone for my gaming growing up,” said Robert “RazerGuy” Krakoff, President of Razer USA.  “When it was announced that a new MechWarrior Online was in the works, Razer was more than excited for the opportunity to collaborate with Piranha Games and Infinite Game Publishing.  We’re going to bring our own take to a concept controller that will pave the way for a new generation of robot destruction.”

The controller puts players in the cockpit of a Mecha from the Mechwarrior games while also providing an adequate control scheme for players everywhere. Be sure to check out the peripherals website for more info.

E3 2012: ZombiU Gameplay Trailer

ZombiU’s appearance at Nintendo’s conference may not have had the impact it did when revealed at Ubisoft’s, but thankfully, they saved some of the details for Nintendo to present.

We’ve already had the mechanics explained, including how the Wii U GamePad was to be utilized in-game, but with a gameplay trailer, we finally saw how it worked.

The GamePad plays the role of your zombie apocalypse Survival Kit, and from the trailer, we can see how versatile that makes it.

Its your Inventory. It’s a Scanner. It’s a Sonar emitter. It’s a sniper rifle scope. It’s a hacking device. It’s everything you need to survive, and it performs different tasks each time.

As a launch title, ZombiU looks set to fill the role of new, hardcore IP, intended to bring in the new fans looking for a unique hardcore experience, as well as entice the old scorned fans to come back.

Anyway, you need to see it for yourself to appreciate it. Check out the trailer below.

With a huge variety of different styles of gaming, this is one hell of an impressive launch! But don’t take our word for it, watch the trailer below for yourself! What games will you be picking up?

E3: 2012 Just Dance 4 Impressions

The Nintendo Press Conference for E3 2012 featured Reggie Fils-Aime using the Gamepad for Just Dance 4 with four dancers using the Wiimotes.  The game uses asymmetric gaming for its new “Puppet Master Mode”, where the Gamepad holder can choose the moves to be done by the four Wiimote users, allowing for a more unique experience every time.

Utilizing the Gamepad, Just Dance 4 seems to be really changing the formula, so who knows how many other modes the game will also feature or how many will cater to those of us not as inclined towards the actual making a fool of ourselves.  If you missed the stage demo, or even if you saw it, there is an E3 Trailer for Just Dance 4 below that shows off a bit of what’s new.

Batman Arkham City Armored Edition E3 Trailer And Details

During the Nintendo E3 conference the game Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition was showcased for the Wii U. The Wii U edition of the game will be featuring a few enhancements to cater for the Wii U control scheme as well as console specific hidden levels and activities.

The game looks amazing on the Wii U and I’m sure the crowd at the conference were thrilled to hear Harley Quinns voice echoing across the hall just before the game was revealed. This is a game that we are definitely looking forward to seeing how it plays on the Wii U device.

E3: 2012 Scribblenauts Unlimited (Wii U) Impressions

During the Nintendo Press Conference for E3 2012, the next game for the Scribblenauts series was announced as Scribblenauts Unlimited.  This time around the game is focusing on a heap of new features, such as making your own creations to put into play, having multiplayer, as well as having an actual story about Maxwell.

This looks like a lot of good additions to the series as a whole, which it should be as the first venture onto a console.  The creation system seems like a good idea, but will probably have some major problems with trolling and immaturity, so we’ll see how Nintendo does keeping it clean on there.  The multiplayer will be interesting to see how it will work without stepping on each other’s toes, but will probably allow for the sharing of the custom items.  Overall, a much bigger looking game than the other ones almost combined.

Wii Fit U E3 Nintendo Conference Details

With a title that sounds like it should be about dressing someone, the game is actually a sequel to the top-selling Wii Fit series of games. The new title will be appearing on the Wii U device during it’s lifetime.

Wiifit U has taken the concept of fitness and taken it further by putting the same old tired exercises into various mini games for the families enjoyment. Of course, that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t also have the more classic kind of exercises from the previous games. What I really enjoyed about this is that it stores a calorie loss count as a kind of record or score-keeping system and players will be able to carry around a pedometer with them so their walking outside of the games setting will still be recorded.

Lego City: Undercover Nintendo Conference Impressions

Coming to the Nintendo Wii U is a Lego game with a lot of personality. This Lego game? Lego City: Undercover.

Following the Lego game traditions, players will be able to adventure in what seems to be a very Grand Theft Auto-esque city with additional gameplay elements that are very reminiscent of other leading titles, such as Prince of Persia and more. What I also found to be quite amusing with what was being demonstrated was that it felt very reminiscent of every child’s imagination whilst their playing with their own Lego sets.

As a first (or at least in my experience) for the Lego games, Lego City: Undercover will feature voice acting featuring fully spoken sentences and dialogue. I quite enjoyed this fact as it added a level of depth and wackiness to the title previously unseen in the franchise.
