Take a look at what happened with Hitman Absolution behind the scenes at E3 2012

If you weren’t lucky enough to attend E3 this year you may not have known that Square Enix’s Hitman Absolution was absolutely everywhere at the event this year. The game had banners everywhere on the streets, elevator doors painted with Agent 47 and plenty of big signs for the game at Square Enix’s booth.

Today you can get a bit of a taste of what Square Enix had to show off for Hitman Absolution as they have released the below trailer which goes over a number of the things that the company had last month as well as how they worked hard to make sure Hitman Absolution had the most exposure possible, though this is a bit ironic as a Hitman would normally want to go unnoticed.

Persona 4 Golden box art finalized

Fans of the Persona 4 series were growing a bit concerned about Atlus’ upcoming release, Persona 4 Golden’s box art because for many months the image shown was simply of the title itself with a simple yellow background. While complaining about a background is frivolous at best, gamers can be quite a picky bunch… especially when it comes to anything related to their favorite JRPGs.

Today Atlus revealed the finalized box art for Persona 4 Golden and it can be seen to the right. Now gamers will know what exactly they will be looking for once the game hits store shelves on October 20th in North America. Seems that the PlayStation Vita is going to be getting a nice influx of games over the next few months, with Persona 4 Golden looking to be one of the highlights.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors coming in September as a digital download

Namco Bandai is preparing its English release of One Piece: Pirate Warriors and they have now announced the game’s release date. Unfortunately for those of you who would have wanted a physical copy, the North American release will be a digital download only when it is released on September 25th.

It is worth noting that the voice actors from the Japanese version of the show have been untouched and English subtitles have bee placed into the game. This may contribute to the fact that the title is a digital release only, though it is worth noting that any gamers in North America who really want a physical copy of the game can always import the physical release in Europe…

Double Dragon Neon high fives the PSN and 360 this September

THQ stockholders begin suing THQ over uDraw fiasco

Like vultures circling a dying man in a desert, it seems that anyone with money attached to THQ is going to try and get whatever they can out of the languishing video game publisher. THQ shareholders have filed a lawsuit against the company after an investigation into whether or not THQ misled their investors about the state of the uDraw tablet.

The lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California by New York law firm Levi & Korsinsky on behalf of THQ shareholders and the lawsuit states that THQ “misrepresented or failed to disclose” that the PS3 and 360 versions of the uDraw game were not selling. It seems that every time THQ appears to begin catching a break, another heavy blow is dealt against the company. At the moment this lawsuit has not cost THQ anything, though whether or not that will be the case in the next few months can be anyone’s guess.
