Halo 4 releases on November 6, 2012 on the Xbox 360.

Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic II Finally On Steam

0

Today marks the release of the pretty good, but not as good as the original, Knights of the Old Republic II on PC for the Steam Platform. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II takes place a few years after the events of the first Knights of the Old Republic game and follow the story of the Jedi Exile who reclaims her position with The Force.

What’s notable about this release is that the game had originally been released alongside Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and as a result was a little rushed and buggy. However the game was still an amazing experience from a gameplay and storytelling perspective and a pretty decent successor to the original Knights of the Old Republic.

And now fans of the Star Wars universe who are unable to track down disc-copies of this game are now free to purchase this great title over the preferred distribution platform for PC gamers, Steam. Be sure to check out the store page and buy your copy.

Follow the United States 2012 Presidential Election on your Xbox 360

Nothing will make you want to stop playing your favorite video games more than switching back to the Xbox 360 dashboard and watching the 2012 US election. Microsoft revealed today that starting on August 27th, Xbox Live members will be able to access the Election 2012 hub which will feature NBC News coverage, information about Obama and Romney, live coverage of the debates and conventions and even daily polls (like why is this here?).

If for some reason you aren’t registered to vote you can even try to register through your game console cause why not. Now this probably is only relevant to those who live in the United States, as Australians, Europeans and Asians probably couldn’t give half a damn about the election.

Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition coming to North America this Fall

If you had to list a few shoot-em up styled games that you thought would be coming to North America then I bet Under Defeat probably wouldn’t have been one of them. In fact, some of you may never even have heard about the title before, but you have now. Today Rising Star Games revealed that they will be bringing over Under Defeat to North America in HD.

Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition is meant to be released this fall on the PlayStation 3 both as a retail title and as a download for $39.99. THe game will feature a new dual-stick control scheme, upgraded graphics and those who buy the physical version of the game can receive a soundtrack, letter from the producer of the game and the CEO of the game’s developer G.rev and a digital art book.

Learn how to be stealthy in Dishonored

While players will have the opportunity to choose how they want to approach any given situation in Dishonored, sometimes playing stealthy is not only the safest bet but also the coolest looking one compared to going in guns blazing.

With Dishonored’s release date only a month and a half away, Bethesda has released a new gameplay trailer for the game where they show players how to be stealthy, what stealth skill to use and how various mechanics within the stealth system work. The video itself can be seen below while the came will be sneaking onto store shelves on October 9th.

Have a moe Mugen Souls trailer to calm your anger

As you may have read yesterday, Mugen Souls has unfortunately suffered a delay in North America due to “scheduling adjustments” and is now going to be released on October 16th in North America, right when all of the major video game titles start to be released.

However to soothe anyone who may have been rubbed the wrong way by this delay, NIS America has released a new trailer, which can be found below, showing off the game’s overwhelming battle system including the way that Chou-Chou can perform a “moe” attack to enslave her enemies or even turn them into items.

Have another look at Toki to Towa’s combat system

Today Namco Bandai in Japan released a new trailer for their upcoming RPG Toki to Towa (Time and Eternity). While the trailer found below may be in Japanese, rumors from the staff working on the game state that the game is indeed going to be released in English sometime in the future.

As for the combat system shown off in the trailer today, we catch a glimpse at a very familiar battle system, similar to what was used in Hyperdimension Neptunia and Xenosaga. What I mean is, that each face button will perform a different attack of some sort and these can be combined into combat. It also seems that the visuals weren’t so awkward this time around, though that may be due to the fact that this is the second time we’ve seen them in motion so far.

Helena and Lisa enter the Dead or Alive 5 tournament

It probably will surprise no one to hear the following news, but today Tecmo Koei revealed that both La Mariposa (Lisa) and Helena would be returning to fight in Dead or Alive 5. In fact, we’ve already seen Lisa battle against and lose to Tina and Bass so this isn’t too new.

What is new however is the fact that to go along with this announcement, Tecmo Koei shared some in-game footage of these two characters taking each other on with professional players behind the controllers. Also a number of images have been shared to show off these two characters and a small hint about their story modes. Shame that, at least so far, Helena and Lisa won’t be getting swimsuit DLC huh?

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes get a Release Date

Focus Home Interactive and Frogwares have released more than just the usual slew of screenshots for The Testament of Sherlock Holmes by announcing the release date for the game.  Coming out September 20th in Europe and September 25th in North America for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, players will be able to step into the role of Sherlock Holmes in what is to be the darkest case of his detective career.

There are still the usual screenshots of course, which players can check out in the gallery below showing off a variety of scenes, from action, to solving puzzles, to investigating a body.  With only 1 month to go until the release of The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, there should be enough from all the screenshots for true rivals of Sherlock Holmes’ intelligence to piece together what’s coming, for everyone else you’ll have to wait the month.  Then we’ll see what makes this his darkest case ever.

Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition Out Now in Australia

If you haven’t gotten around playing one of the best games of last year Batman: Arkham City, well now’s the best time as Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition is now available in Australia.

The Game of the Year Edition included all previously released downloadable content packs – Catwoman Pack, Nightwing Bundle Pack, Robin Bundle Pack, Challenge Map Pack and Arkham City Skins Pack.

Along with the new the final chapter Harley Quinn’s Revenge, which adds in more than two hours of brand new gameplay and introduces Robin as a playable character.

Rumors have already begun circulating of a Batman Arkham City sequal (or perhaps a prequel) to be in the works due for a 2014 release date.

However, rumours being rumours, even if they are making another Batman game – your guess is as good as mine.

Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition is now available for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
